Ahh, happy birthday to your mom, Soul!
Hopefully, she's actually enjoying all of the priviledges of her age, since a good number of places consider those who are 55+ to be worthy of special perks, such as a lower cost to book a cruise.
I've yet to see SuckerPunch. Are you planning to invite any of your female friends to watch the movie with you or is this more of a guy flick, with lots of random violence and/ or gross- out humor?

How I long to unpack all of mine and restore them to cozy shelves. I think then i will know I am home. I have always felt like my books were the most inherent manifestations of my self, my soul, so perhaps that freeing them from their cardboard tombs will free me a share as well? Sindeira And, Exxos, don't even get me started on your parents. I've never even met these people and oh, how I hate them so. You might want to look into an assisted living facility either in your state or halfway around the world, as long as you don't mind the airfare. I have and do not qualify.

Why don't you build a simple bookshelf or three?
I'd imagine that a few hours away from your parents for a few days, each week, would be heavenly. Won't you talk to a representative of VR about what your options are? Even the smallest paycheck you might receive would be great.
Ooh~ in fact, your first paycheck should go towards a mini- fridge for your room and a lock of some sort, either for the fridge itself or your door.

Sindeira Why don't you build a simple bookshelf or three? Because I don't have the funds and am afraid that they'll get destroyed by one of my parents. The last time they knocked down a bookcase, threw my books around, and tore some up, I spent three days in depression shock. But I guess I should risk it for cathartic reasons. Brandon's books: A 3.64 ton security blanket. razz Sindeira I'd imagine that a few hours away from your parents for a few days, each week, would be heavenly. Won't you talk to a representative of VR about what your options are? Even the smallest paycheck you might receive would be great. I've badgered them up one side and down the other. I keep getting the same responses of that I am not in enough need. At least I have a dedicated case worker, but I think they might have just given me over to her so I was just annoying one person instead of the entire department. XP Sindeira Ooh~ in fact, your first paycheck should go towards a mini- fridge for your room and a lock of some sort, either for the fridge itself or your door. I had a mini-fridge once, it squealed like crazy and I could not stand it. High pitched noises make me go like the mongo in mad max after awhile. As for a lock on the door, I forego that because when I installed one, the bashing my door open to rage at me resulted in a messed up door and jamb. Lilygwen Gosh, I'm melting in here! It's 10am and it's already almost +27C (80F) in here and it's supposed to get well over +30C (86F) during the day. gonk *makes a big jug of ice tea* I'm so not suitable for these weathers. It was 112º F here today according to the nearest weather station to the house. I was getting a bit better with the heat, but now I am starting to sweat at 67º F. razz

Its a movie a female can watch. My GF is the one that got me to watch it in theaters. We take turns picking movies to see in theaters smile That was her pick when it was out and I loved it.

THANKS FOR PLAYING HIGH-LOW EVERYONE!!!
Ok... to sort out the last page:
Sindeira did manage to get that high roll. Congrats! And due to Soul's incredible generosity (donating his win to the final High Roll winner) Sin gets the last two High Roll prizes from the list. Wow!
Sin also rolled the lowest number on the page.. however, since she already reached her Low Roll quota the Low Roll prize goes to Davis!! Congrats! You get the Tavern Wench's Blouse. I'm sure it will look lovely on you 4laugh
I'll get your prizes to you both shortly. And a little something to everyone else who participated wink
Stay tuned for AGA Berry Picking coming soon....

I'm also harvesting the cash trees again. Didn't find anything odd from my computer yesterday. The trees seems ok but then again there's really nothing free in the internet.
We are trying to cool down the house so we could get some sleep but since we have two indoor cats, we can't keep all doors and windows opened up. Luckily the sauna is almost ready so I'll be able to "cool down" with it's help. As silly as it might seem, after being in the sauna (and meaning a real Finnish sauna) you'll feel a lot cooler. The sauna speeds up your surface blood circulation and that cools you down. 3nodding

The weather over here is typically in the seventies and eighties. In fact, I had spent a few hours walking along the beach with my mother and one of her friends today, so I'm feeling thoroughly relaxed right now. And this overcast weather not only meant that I hadn't gotten a sunburn, but I also didn't have to wear any of that messy sunscreen. *rejoices, as she's still scented with the fresh ocean breeze*
Priority #1: Keep all of your books safe and sound. I can only imagine what sort kind of emotional trauma a destroyed bookcase could instill deep down in a person's heart.
If it makes you feel any better, I'm on my third placement company and my VR guy's getting to the point that he's strongly considering placing me with an outside vendor, who isn't even supported by VR. Needless to say, it's hardly a perfect situation but, in truth, nothing really is.
I gotcha about the lock, but there's got to be a mini- fridge that doesn't click, grind and moan the night away. I even had one in college years ago and that thing was as quiet as a mouse. In fact, it's running as quietly as ever over at my grandparents' house, so I know that it's true.
*plops on a pillow and plays with Teeshann's beautifully wavy hair* So what's in a blackberry ice cream soda? I'd love to try one someday.
*jots down a note to watch SuckerPunch* Your girlfriend is clearly awesome, for enjoying movies even nearly as much as you do. Here's hoping that there's all sorts of chemistry to keep the two of you together. *ish a li'l bit of a romantic*
Yay! *picks up her kitty and gives him a squeeze* This really was a fun game and I'm rather curious about this matter of berry picking you speak of. Ahh, and I'm confident that Davis shall look quite fetching in his tavern wench's blouse, if he really wants to. ^.~
Thanks for the update on the GC trees. I really would like to take advantage of this opportunity, but I've been understandably wary from the very start.
With screens in the windows and a fan in whatever room you happen be in, turning off the A/C is quite feasible. And, in fact, my kitty loves the smell of the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors. He's just a li'l spoiled, he is.
