Sadness fill her expression when she heard how serious he really was. Without thinking, she hugged him tightly. "I can't be your kill if you're dead!" Worry and concern was clear in her voice. Takiko had to look up to him, quite literally, with only being tall enough to come to about his shoulders.

Crow took the lighter, then was suddenly hugged by Takiko. "I never said I was going to die....And just as he said....You have your friends, and you have me...."He nodded and gave her another warm smile. She was the ONLY one who would ever receive those. "You will still be my prey, even when the upcoming battle arrives....You will be mine...."He grabbed one of her hands gently. "I promise you that."

His smile and touch was comforting. Though her thoughts began to travel to how quickly she will die. Either way, she was screwed. If she went along with Zarathos' plan and train on hand-to-hand combat, she would only be using it to fight the man who she began to feel something towards. If she did not train, allowed him to protect her... Just for her to die? If she did fight Crow... It would not take long... Takiko remembered how she was on the ground with a gun in her face in a matter of minutes...

Crow watched her closely, he sighed. "You'll be fine Takiko...."He said quietly and held her now. "I will put my life on the line to protect my territory....Whether that line is cut, and I fall to my death or not....As long as my territory continues to flourish with all the things that attracted me to it, then I couldn't be any happier...."He smiled warmly at her again and nodded slowly.

Takiko was unbelievably comfortable in his arms. No matter how morbid the subject was, Takiko just felt like smiling. Takiko sighed, a bit tired, and comfortable at the same time. "You know... I don't want anyone to hurt you... especially not because of me."

Crow shook his head, "It's fine....Really it is...."He said quietly. "You are my territory, even if you don't like it I'll protect you....Remember, I'm a Lycan....I don't give up that easily...."He popped his neck. "And if protecting my territory means I have to kill an Elder, then so be it...."

It was still rather confusing to Takiko, how a lycan, aimed to kill her, now claims her as territory... She did not mind, of course, she felt the same way for him, in a way. Vampires were not territorial, or very social, for that fact, but she would protect him, as long as he protected her. As long as she felt the feelings she feels for him. With everything that has happened, Takiko was curious how the rest of her possibly shortened life would play out.

"It's alright..." Takiko replied softly. "As I said, 'everything happens for a reason'. That reason be good or bad, it doesn't matter." Takiko, in some ways, was happy with the outcome. Even though her relationship with Jack would undoubtedly end quickly. She basically started a new life when she met Crow... He gave her a new chance at life by helping her, by saving her, and now, he's a part of that new life.

He blinked at her, then softly smiled. "Yeah....Your right...."He said quietly. It was weird....How she turned his life around. At first, he hated her and wanted her dead. And now, now she was something more. Something more then a friend and even a lover, she was his prey. Not only that but all of the above. His eternal prey, friend....And possible lover. The others didn't matter, only she did. She was his....Mate in a way.

Takiko was thinking about how her life was changing as well. Her eternal hatred for lycans seemed to have diminished over the past few day or so. Takiko could not find words for how she felt for him.... 'Prey' was how he had put it, and what she agreed to. Yet it was more than that. More than a lover, so much more, she thought there was no word for it. No way for her to describe her feelings.

Crow looked down at her, then smiled. He knew full well that she was troubled and confused. He sighed, if only he hadn't met her. She would be able to live her life to the normal extent. He kissed the top of her head, he didn't know why but he did.

Takiko felt comfort, in the arms of someone she never would have guessed, she found comfort and peace. The vampire did not even realize it but, as comfortable as she was, she was also getting drowsy. She now fought to stay awake for as long as she could.

Crow blinked, she was becoming sleepy. "You want me to take you home?"Crow asked her quietly. He ran his hand through her hair, and continued to hold her up. He sighed, his time with her was going to end so soon? He shook his head slightly.
