Lady Evelyn Nyht I've been pretty MIA because I have about 100-some-odd pages of Lord of Chaos. x.x Meriko, did you ever look into S.D. Perry's Resident Evil series? Intrigued, but too busy. XD Is it like the book series of Aliens or Star Wars where they just expand on the original universe with the creator's blessing? Anlina: Woo, the plaid looks perfect! You've got such a great eye (and hand) for detail. heart *goes back to pixelling her fingertips off* October is coming too soon! :gonkfest 2007:

Anlina: Amazing as always. I especially love the decorations and the streaks on the new wig. (joipa?) The plaid looks awesome! I can't believe some of the things that I've seen the editors here in this guild pull off on these little avatars. It's just so impressive!
Meri: Yeah, it is coming up too fast. Kay wants to be a gorilla. This was decided after out last visit to the zoo where she talked grandpa into purchasing her a gorilla mask. I still don't know what I'm going to do for El.
I can't wait to see what you've been up to.

Only the second book, Caliban Cove is an original story that explains the gab between the first game and the second, so that would be the only one really worth reading if you've gone through all of the games already.

The Halo novels are based on the game, yes, but only the second book is a reiteration of any of the games. It goes through the first Halo game, while the first book is a prequel to the first game, and the third book is the gap between the first and second games. The fourth book doesn't really fit into the game storyline much as it jumps ahead a few years which would be impossible now that Halo 3 is out(*). The fifth book is going to be set around the beginning of the Covenant and Human war, before the Chief was born. No idea about any books afterwards. 8)
PS. That sounded really confusing as I wrote it, so it probably is. 8D
* I'd have to double check the dates to be completely sure of this. P:

That does sound rather confusing.... like watching Memento for the first time after a few dozen shots. Think I'll just stick out Dune to its conclusion and see if I ever want to read ANYTHING again LOL

*pops in at random* Speaking of long, confusing series, did anyone hear Robert Jordan died? (I sure hope no one has already brought this up, I would feel very dumb) He was in the middle of the 12th book for the Wheel of Time series, with at least a few books to go before the real end. It's an avid-book-reader's nightmare. gonk
(My gosh I have missed using that emoticon!!)

*Glomps Kimi* Wow, that does REALLY suck ;___; Kinda like when the director (or writer, I'm not sure which) of the b*****d anime series was arrested for having drugs on him. I'm not sure he's been able to get out yet 9.<
But the thing with that is that there might be a chance of it coming back. But yeah, death is pretty permanent :'3

This is why I never start a series until the author has completed it. It would drive me right up the nearest wall to never know how the series was supposed to end. Having someone else finish the series does not count in my opinion.

That's why I love reading Brian Jacque's Redwall series. :3
Unfortunately he's kinda old and might be on his way out ( he's 68 gonk ), but the stories he writes are very loosely correlated. None of them fit into a grand scheme, as each book has it's own little story to tell, but they all have references to each other.
