For the first time, it sunk in that he was really worried abut her. Lily smiled and put a hand over the one at her temple, closing her eyes briefly "I'm really okay, you know. Just a little fried."

"Please Lily, I can't stand seeing you like this," Arlen pleaded with her. "You need rest."

Lily looked away, sighed, then kissed his cheek. "Fine, I'll go bed." she murmured, gently squirming out of his hold. Shoulders a little slumped, she started for the stairs, looking back at him a few times.

Arlen watched lily go torn up inside, and utterly pained look on his face. "I'm sorry," he said softly.

"Hey, Arlen?" Lily called, having stopped at the foot of the stairs. "I love you." she half-turned to give him a small smile, then gave a resigned sigh and trudged up to their room.

"I love you too," Arlen replied, walking over to the stairs so she could hear him. "Do you want me to tuck you in?"

"If you want too." Lily answered with a smile, leaning over the banister at the top of the stairs. "It'd make me feel better."

Smiling back Arlen followed her up. "I know you'd like me to stay with you, but I don't want to leave Ukaia alone right now," he whispered as he started walking her to their room.

"It's okay. I understand." Lily answered, shrugging a shoulder. She caught his hand in hers as they walked, giving it a light squeeze when they reached to door. Slipping into the room, the teen simply pulled off her skirt before hopping into bed, not bothering with pajamas.

Grabbing a blanket, Arlen layed it over Lily and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Dream well and I'll be up in a little while," he promised her.

"Alright." Lily answered with a sigh, then looked up at the ceiling. "See you then." she added, knowing she wouldn't be able to fall asleep for awhile; her mind was too far-flung.

Arlen stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him. As he walked downstairs he hopped that this wasn't a sign of something more seriously wrong with Lily. SOmething that someone would be the only person able to help her with. Sighing he stepped off the bottom step and looked over at Ukaia. "Do you need anything?" he asked her.

Finding Ukaia already asleep at her sewing, Arlen gently removes the needle from her hand and sets it back with the other needles, and then grabs a blanket from one of the couches and drapes it over her. "Sweet dreams Ukaia." With that he head upstairs and quietly and gently joined Lily in bed, hoping she felt better tomorrow.

Only on the verge of sleep, Lily snuggled close to Arlen silently, wrapping her arms around him and pillowing her head on his chest. "Night." she whispered, eyes remaining closed.
