    Some may call it bad timing, but really, it was just the fault of one very sleepy mermaid princess. Having just woken from a long nap in the soft lush green grass, Azura was hardly functioning properly, let alone watching where she was walking. It was, at that very split second Ephraim, who she was completely oblivious to, thrusted his spear at the time she stepped out from behind the cover of her tree's, nearly inches away from where the spears pointy end would end up.
In her half awake state, the only thing that registered to her body was her own instincts that would kick in at that split second, which would result in a sudden.....heavy gush of water that would slam into poor Ephraim, there was enough force behind it to knock him back a few feet away! Had he actually been taken down by the water, Azura's once fiercely angered eyes widened suddenly, and she lowered her hands quickly. Her face becoming a shade of red that matched the flowers he would likely be laying next to. "................"
She realized now, all to late, her embarrassing misjudgment. "...I'm...sorry. ..." She was so embarrassed, she had no time to be angry with him. It was clearly her fault for walking out so suddenly, and being her silly sleepy self did not do her any good. While she knew she was guilty, she didn't take any steps closer to him, in fact, she backed away a little. Not out of fear of his own reaction to her uncalled for attack, but for fear of the water he was now drenched in. Having an accidental shape-shift would just do her in for the most humiliating thing that could happen to her today besides already being terribly embarrassed. "...Are you alright? " Of course he was, water didn't exactly hurt! Still, she had to make sure. It would at least ease her worry a little.

The sudden surge of water was enough to put Ephraim off-balance momentarily, though instinct kicked in as he positioned a leg behind him solidly and lowered his body slightly, positioning himself to endure and not be knocked onto his back. It would be quite disadvantageous to be knocked over so easily in a real battle.... which this likely wasn't, but even so, his instincts didn't have time to discern that in the moment. After the torrent passed through him, Ephraim blinked a few times, as if to get the water out of his eyes, and stood up straight once more. "I didn't intend to startle you." He assumed that's what happened at least, given her attack followed by her apology. He didn't even know she was nearby. Maybe he should've surveyed the area more carefully before beginning his training, but she wasn't the only tired one. "If I wasn't all right, I would worry for my own combat abilities." If a little wave did him in, he wouldn't be a very capable warrior, would he? "...In any case..." He glanced down at himself, his clothing a lot less dry than it had been moments ago. "Would you like to spar, Princess Azura? I'm already drenched, it seems the opportune time to test myself against someone who attacks using water." He would need to change afterwards anyway, clearly. He didn't think about her ongoing "mission" to use her hypnosis to put him on his knees. Given his tired and somewhat confused state given his dream situation, he might not be in the best frame of mind to resist her right now. But who knew, Ephraim had a strong will. Maybe he could resist regardless. (( OOC: ))

"It's my fault..." She didn't deny that, it clearly was! "..I was resting there.." More like sleeping, but she didn't need to tell him about her little faults of falling asleep in random places, did she? It wasn't something she could stop doing, even if she wanted to! She did suspect it had something to do with her staying on land for such long periods of time. Everything came with a cost, in this case, it helped her stay a little stronger while she was on land with each little nap she took. "....I feel like I am only bringing more disappointment for you.." She sighed softly, why did it feel so bad to deny his request? "I have to apologize once more, I still feel tired. A spar right now might not be the best choice for ether of us.." Who knew what craziness would happen if she fought while in sleepy mode! Silly Azura. "..If I see you when we both are seeking a little training, then we can do it then, if you like? "
"..I can at least provide a little help with this..." She didn't think much of it, before she placed the palm of her hand over his armor clad chest, and he would immediately notice every little bead of water starting to flow towards her palm, as though she were absorbing all of the water. He would feel the weight of the water subsiding as his body and armor would be completely dry within a few seconds, and she would lower her hand away.

It's nothing to concern yourself over." It certainly wasn't some grave offense as far as Ephraim was concerned. He had been received much less kindly for much less in the past, so he didn't have any problem with this, aside from the bother of wet clothing. "There's hardly any need for apology. I would have been surprised if you accepted my request regardless." She didn't seem the type to enjoy a casual spar, needless to say. Nor did she seem the type to worry over her combat ability enough to seek out sparring regardless of enjoyment. The only other one here who seemed to enjoy sparring was Alisa. Ironic given their rocky start that Ephraim and Alisa got along rather well now.
"Ah... thank you. What interesting powers the Serenitian people seem to have." Ephraim said, pondering it for a moment. "Phoenix and Unisha have animal forms. According to Alisa, it's a trait most commonly expressed in the Central Kingdom Serenitians, but certain people outside of it also have this trait. Such as her mother, who can turn into a raven, according to her. Do you have any such trait? If you don't mind my asking." He put a hand to his chin. "I wonder if that Lily girl is from the Central Kingdom as well. She could take the from of a wolf." He paused a few moments. "...Though she also seemed heavily associated with the sea, not unlike yourself. What do wolves and the sea have in common? It's interesting that Serenitians can have such wildly varying powers." Yes, what did wolves and the sea have in common........... "In any case, I shouldn't take up any more of your time. I'm certain you have better things to be doing than entertaining my queries regarding Serenitian culture. I should get back to training, anyway. Unless you needed anything else from me?"(( OOC: ))

"...Thank you for the kindness.." She wouldn't actually argue her thoughts on the matter, he was being so nice, there was no need to bring everything down with her own point of view. She would blame herself silently! "Have you spoken with the girl, Yuffie? I have heard she will never turn down a fight. Though I also hear she can be reckless.." Training or actual battle, Yuffie was pretty crazy when it came to her love of a battle and showing off her 'amazing' ninja skills.
"Oh, It does seem that way..Doesn't it? " The lot of Serenitians did have some special animal form, though there were also several who didn't, such as Alisa, Lilith and Athena. "........Ah..I-It's not very interesting. I would much rather not a lot of people know about it..It's only caused me to make more enemies in these lands then i'd like.."
"..I haven't spent much time with her, honestly, It seems like she avoids me! " She wondered about that a lot, was she scary or something?! It seemed like anytime she entered the room, or any area Lily was in, the girl would take off. "..I suppose that will be a ongoing mystery.." She didn't expect to find out where she was from, or why she continued to avoid her, as well as Kaden in rare cases she did actually run into him.
Azura shook her head softly at his next words. "No..I have nothing better to do honestly. Though I suppose I am the one taking up your training time..It
was nice speaking with you again..I will leave you to your training, then.." It was more awkward then nice, she felt, but there was no need to say that now was there! Her attacking him was hardly nice.
Meanwhile, in the short distance near by the two a pair of blue spying eyes watched from her top secret bush. No one could see the blue haired girl squating in leaves and looking completely ridiculous in the process! Good thing she was so short, at least. She didn't stick out THAT much. But still, if one was to look they might be able to spot the young crazy girl there watching them. "GRRRRR. Wh is that cornflake? Why does it look like they are enjoying their time together? This can't be allowed! " Lily refused to spend time with her oblivious mother, but boy did she ever get worried anytime another man talked to Azura.

"I happen to have grown up with a sister, one who didn't like bothering other people with her feelings in her youth. Stop blaming yourself. It's not anything worth feeling guilty over." Ephraim was typically clueless with women, but it seemed he had some insight when it came to matters like this. Though Eirika grew to be more open with him, when they were younger, she was much more meek and reserved, and disliked bothering him or being honest when she felt down. As a result, he was good at seeing through thinly-veiled polite dishonesty like this. "Yuffie... She's one of the ones who fought alongside Cloud to save this world. I'm sure it would be well-worth my time to spar with her if she agreed." He didn't know where she tended to be, but he'd certainly speak to her when the opportunity arose. She and Alisa seemed to be pretty good friends, so perhaps he would happen upon them speaking to each other at some point. Cloud seemed to belittle her abilities, but Ephraim would rather see firsthand.
"Then keep it to yourself. It's not anyone's business except your own." Unless she wanted it to be anyone else's business, but Ephraim didn't feel any need to pry for a lady's secrets she didn't desire to share. Especially given it was for little more than idle chatter. "...Peculiar." Ephraim thought for a moment. "She seems friendly, and especially so with Reiner, Javik, and a few others..." All those that suddenly appeared while they were at the beach. It did make Ephraim a bit suspicious. Obviously his suspicion didn't lead his mind straight to the wildly insane first guess of time travel, but more so the possibility that they may have been enemies trying to get close enough to put a knife in Avalanche's back. ...But thinking about Reiner and Lily's personalities especially... he found that a bit difficult to believe. "...It's possible she's a survivor from your kingdom, and she finds it difficult to be around you. A reminder of what happened. Just a thought. I don't mean to bring up bad memories." Given her status as a Serenitian with sea powers and a girl of such bubbly, friendly nature avoiding Azura for no apparent reason, he surmised there had to be a meaningful explanation. "Are such water-based powers common outside of your kingdom? If not, I would be surprised were it mere coincidence..." Too many signs all pointing to a connection for Ephraim to just assume one didn't exist at the very least.
Ephraim and Azura were both rather socially awkward, it seemed. So it made for a bit of a difficult exchange. Ephraim tried to speak more than usual to make things feel more casual, but he was no good at that, needless to say. He was far from a casual person."...Why are we hiding?" Came a sudden whispering from beside Lily, and when she looked to find the source of the voice, she would see the oh so noble prince of the Frozen Kingdom, Kaden, crouched there beside her in the bush. Clearly she wasn't as stealthy as she was hoping. She must have gotten her sneaking habits from her father... Kaden had been out here for quite a while, hiding on a tree branch, watching Azura sleep. ...Not for creepy reasons! Probably? He felt rather overprotective of her, obviously, and he was in constant fear that someone might try to attack her, or perhaps worse, get water on her. He could freeze water from a rather long distance, so he had a good way to prevent it from happening! What a hero...?(( OOC: ))

Azura blinked in surprise, only to softly nod her head a moment later. "..Thank you.." She didn't have a lot to say, what was there to say but show her appreciation? "Mmhm..She may be hard to track down, but I do hope you find a worthy opponent you are comfortable with to train with. " Yuffie would probably be a good one, for sure. The only other one she could see as another good partner was Sephriea, but as far as she could see, that girl had a lot of anger built up inside her, which could lead to problems when it came to simple training. She didn't want anyone to get hurt!
"..Thank you for understanding...You are so pleasant to talk to, anyone else would try to pressure me into telling everything! " Humans are such curious creatures!
His next words another surprise to her ears, she didn't think of that possibility herself, though only because she was certain she was the only survivor. "...I'm certain that isn't the case..I would have known long ago if there were any survivors...As for these powers outside my kingdom..I have never seen anyone with similar, though...I have never thought I would end up in a whole different world ether. I suppose there are more surprises in our lives then we realize.."
" Were spying of course, duh!" It didn't quite register to her right away, but when it did, her little screech and awkward jump back in her already weird position really did her in for the best ninja ever to exist in the world. "........! " So, she was hardly prepared for any moment like this unexpected one, as it so well showed! "...How..long have you been standing there?! " Like, how did she not even sense him? Gosh, she really was bad at everything!

Where he expected to see either an adversary or perhaps a ninja like Yuffie, he instead saw the young girl he had just been discussing. ...As well as someone else. "What the-?" What a bizarre and absurd scene. "What are the two of you doing?" Obviously they were observing this conversation, but for what purpose exactly? And for how long?"Hey don't blame me, I just got here." Kaden said, standing and backing away from the bush as though he were entirely innocent. As if he had just gotten here. He had been watching Azura for who knows how long."..." Ephraim's eyes went up to a tree branch, before going back to Kaden. "...Did you?" His mind was rather quick to connect dots. "I did hear rustling in the trees, and I noticed one of the tree's branches was holding weight, which it no longer is. Was that you?""...Eh...?" Well, that was unexpected... "What is that...?""You must have been watching me train for quite a while. Why is that?""I... I wasn't watching you train! I was watching- I mean, I wasn't even-""I figured as much." He suspected he had already been out here since before Ephraim had come out to train. "Which means you were watching..." He turned his face towards Azura for a moment, then back to Kaden. "Is it common to watch women while they sleep in Serenity?""....It's... not... like that!!" Poor Kaden. Who knew Lily wouldn't be the one most caught red-handed in this situation.(( OOC: ))

Given Lily and Kaden were not to far away from where she and Ephraim were, it was pretty difficult to not hear the commotion in the bushes. As she turned to look, the surprise hit her as she saw Kaden there, who clearly she seemed happy to see, by the smile that came across her normally stotic face.Though it wasn't without a faint blush! She didn't really think much into it, just seeing him brought out a brightness in Azura that no one else seemed to be able to do. "It's okay.." She began to say, her blushing face increasing to a soft pink. "I have a lot of enemies...Kaden is always being so watchful..He's always there for me, even when I don't realize it myself.." She said softly, she wanted to make sure Ephraim there didn't see him as something bad, while at the same time she hoped to calm Kaden down from his nervousness.
"....Hee,hee..You got busted.." Lily said into Kaden's mind, snickering.She could be such a huge, terrible tease sometimes.

Kaden was just as overprotective of Azura as he was Lilith and especially Teresa. ...She might not like to hear it explained like that, though. The way Azura explained it reminded Ephraim of how Seth was with Eirika. Seth was obviously protective of both the twins, being their retainer and the knight who had been trained to protect both specifically, but he understood Ephraim could watch out for himself more so than Eirika. Not that Eirika was incapable, but her strengths didn't lie in fighting like Ephraim and Seth's did. Not to mention Seth was aware that Ephraim was more powerful and more skilled than he was, so he couldn't always do things to help him. Ephraim preferred it this way, needless to say--knowing Eirika was well-protected even when they were apart did much to ease his mind."...Oh, shut up!" Kaden was still a bit flustered as he responded to Lily, using his mouth rather than his mind. "You got busted too! What was it you said a bit ago? Something about worrying that these two were flirting or something? Yeah, I heard that! And now everyone else did, too!!" Apparently Kaden wasn't willing to hog the embarrassment spotlight in this instance."..." Ephraim crossed his arms. What a ridiculous thing to hear. He was quite certain Azura had no such interest in him, but regardless, it would feel improper for him to not clear things up. "I am married." He said simply. "If you have such concerns, you can be at ease." He didn't know why she would have any such concerns, but regardless, perhaps that would save the moment from becoming even more awkward. "My wife is here in this world with me, even..." How did Lily not know anything about that, given that she was friends with Reiner and La'riah? ...Maybe she just didn't realize who this was. Or she was just very slow.
...Why would she even be worried about something like that, though? He highly doubted Lily had any attraction towards Azura..."...So anyway! This is your fault that things are awkward now. You're lucky I'm nice or I'd turn into a wolf and scare you away. Grrr." He made a very unconvincing growling noise, as if to be intimidating. Scary."...Wolf?" ...Wait... "..." A wolf prince, and a princess with power over the ocean. And now a younger girl with both these traits, And more resemblances, now that his mind was working through this. His train of thought obviously still did not jump immediately to time travelling child from the future, but... there was far too much resemblance here to be mere coincidence. "You're..." He put a hand to his chin. Now that he thought about it, she was friends with Reiner, wasn't she? And Reiner reminded him very much of L'Arachel. He thought at first he might be from Rausten, but now that he thought about it... why did he seem so interested in his relationship with L'Arachel? The more he thought about it, was it possible these people were from another world as well--a world where time had already passed further than this world? While he was starting to piece things together, he was obviously missing key pieces of information.
...But it was ridiculous. it was mad. Wasn't it? Then again, wasn't their entire situation ridiculous? He might not have realized any of this if he hadn't already been pondering Lily's possible connection to Azura, but that wolf comment from Kaden was enough to cause his brain to scramble to make more connections. "...Lily." He lowered his hands, stabbing his spear in the ground as he put his hands on his hips. "You're friends with Reiner, aren't you?" He tilted his head slightly. "Reiner's parents. Who are they?" If she stuttered, if she stumbled over her words at all--if even a single moment of silence passed between his question and a calm response, his suspicion would be fueled much more. He at least did her a favor in not asking her who her own parents were, just in case his outlandish theory turned out to be true...(( OOC: ))

"My...retainer? " Azura blinked, that was a new one to her ears. "No...Not quite.." She probably didn't want to make the situation a whole lot more awkward by saying how she thought of him as the most special person in her life! But how else was she to describe him? But before she could go on to say anything further, her attention was brought right back to Kaden in a moment of puzzlement. At first, it seemed like he was speaking to her! That wouldn't be a Kaden thing to do, telling her to shut up? Yeah, right! His next words would clear up her confused state as she would quickly realize he was actually talking to Lily there!
"What?! Hardly! I would still be here watching them in secret if YOU didn't suddenly show up like that! You got busted more! " These two were probably even more fun in her future! Crossing her arms, she glanced back at Ephraim as he so clearly stated he was married. "Duh! I know that..." She paused a moment. "...Only because I've been here long enough to know that! "Good save! "Still, doesn't mean you might not still flirt with some random pretty girl! "
"Ohh?! " She glanced back at her oblivious father. "As if you could scare me away! You're just a big fluffy nice wolf with no real scare-factors possible! "
Again, she found herself looking back to the kings direction. Was she being paranoid, or did he seem to be asking strange, suspicious questions? "....Maybe. What about it? What's it matter to you? " Then the big question came, the one she dreaded all this time. The one she spent five whole minutes of her time preparing in case it sprung up on her! ...Perhaps she should have prepared for it a little longer. ".......Um, you know, somethings are best left a great mystery..You probably shouldn't know -everything-. It might come at a cost! "

The first test of the teleporter came with surprisingly positive results, when Hiyori appeared there on a similar platform there in the room. It took a moment to shake off the strangeness of the teleportation, but when she recovered from that grand experience, a wide grin spread over her face as she looked to her partner's direction. "It WORKED! I didn't melt away, or teleport to the moon..It actually worked! " She stepped off the platform, hurrying over to Futaba and holding up her hand in a high-five fashion. "We did it! " It was like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders, honestly she hadn't been that terrified in a while. But it seemed she worried for nothing. Lifting her hand a little, she would give her that high-five she seemed to want so badly! "This is great....Now, when someone we know comes through that portal..We can get them here quickly!"

It was past midnight, and by now it was likely most everyone was already asleep. Side from Hiyori, who would have a very rude, unpleasant awakening as her phone began to flash and sound off a alarm, and while others may not hear the alarm on her phone, they would hear the sudden crashes within the mansion, even worse, terrifying creatures growling as they charged through the wall of the 'special' room they seemed to be coming through.Rather, had anyone taken notice, in the sheer panic and terrified state they would likely be in, they would notice that they were literally pouring out of that very room, running through the new hole in the wall as they charged into every direction they could get to, which also included the staircase that would lead them into the hallway which would lead to everyone's bedrooms. As if they sensed living, warm blood through those doors, the creatures began to claw them, threatening to break right through the doors with their massive claws.
While everyone was now being hunted, the rest of them would make their way out of the front door, which was now clawed and completely broken off its hinges. The wave of monsters would not only terrorize Avalanche...but the city itself..
That's when a golden beam of holy light crashed down from the night-sky, striking a large group of the creatures that were all very close together. Luck? Probably. The second the holy light struck, others that didn't get struck parted ways, escaping into the city, while the ones struck were quickly recovering from the damage. It just wasn't enough to really take them down! "...I-It didn't work??!" The mysterious blond haired girl quickly put up a holy barrier, as the many terrifying eyes settled on her. No more then an hour in this world, and she was already on the menu of some scary beast-like creatures. Creatures that didn't seem very affected to her holy magic!

     Inability to sleep may of been for once, what would save a once sleeping princess, as one of the creatures who seemed a little to determined to get inside her room broke through, and was only several feet from striking its claws through the terrified teenager, until it suddenly froze in place. Its clawed arm stuck as it was reaching for Teresa, and deadly fangs bared. An image that would probably stick into the poor girls mind for a long while! "Hey! It won't stay like that for long, hurry to me! " It might of been easier if she wasn't frozen much like that creature, only out of fear rather then a Stop spell. "Come on..!" Poor Teresa, it was like waking from a literal nightmare, only to have that nightmare still with her.
She only had seconds left, and Rinoa could only be brave for so long before things turned far worse! She took a step forward, she could try pull her away, but she knew there was little time as the creature's bladed tail started to twitch..."H-Here! You monster....Deal with someone who can fight back! " Did she really want it's attention ALL on her? ...Not really, she did enjoy life...still, she also knew she had to do everything possible to help Teresa who wouldn't last a second. "HERE! " She yelled out, just as the creature fully became free of the magic that stopped it.
And it leapt from the bed it half-stood on, letting out a terrifying roar that would send chills through anyone's spine, seconds before lunging for Rinoa...

  Little did Rinoa know, one of those loveable creatures was stalking her from behind, just outside the door. All while the other was already in it's attack, this would be a fight between the two beasts for who's food she would become. Unfortunately for them, Rinny wasn't on the menu as a blade came plunging down through the creatures head, killing it instantly, only to move like a flash to the next one, slashing through it's body several times before ending it with a blade through it's neck. They weren't TO hard to kill for those skilled in battle, but the real problem was how many there were, and how many escaped into the city...There were a lot of defenseless people out there still walking around the city just about all hours of the night.
