Though the night sky seemed to be devoid of other creatures, Feldspar realized the skies were not as clear as she first believed. Turning in a great arc, she moved herself to be able to see what else the sky held. To her great surprise, it was another dragon. "Be you a friend? she called out to the approaching dragon, taking a chance with this simple communication to make sure she was not in danger before approaching.

Staying at a distance, Glaedr examined the dragon, recognising her, but unable to place her name. Suddenly it came to him. "Saphira, is it you? Don't you recognise me?"

Stopping her flying, she began to glide downward toward the ground below. A feeling of amusement and confusion could be felt as she replied to him. "Saphira is my kin .. How might you know her?" she replied carefully, unsure how much trust she could place in this stranger.

"Oh, my apoligies. My name is Glaedr, I knew Saphira a long time ago. I was her comrad in battle." Glaedr remained at his distance, not wanting to get caught in her fire. "Since you are not her, might you tell me your name?"

Blue eyes went wide with surprise upon hearing the name. "My apologies for not recognizing you, Glaedr. I am Feldspar, daughter of Saphira." she responded immediately, as she landed on the ground below. There she bowed her head respectfully to him, honored to be in the presence of someone who ha fought alongside her mother.

Glaedr followed her to the ground, landing in front of her. "I am honored, but please rise, i am not that great." The golden dragon looked at her, shocked at how much she looked like her mother.

Raising her gaze, she looked at him with a knowing eye. She still felt honored to be in his presence but, just as her mother would, held herself proudly now. "My Rider and I have been taught well of the need to respect others, especially elders. It is not the greatness of the individual but the pride behind tradition, respect and honor."

She smiled with this question, knowing that the answer would likely surprise him as it seemed he was surprised to discover she was not her mother. "Named Brom, we have much in common simply by birth .. as his father is Eragon." she replied with as much of a smile as a dragon could manage, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

Nodding her head, she found this next question interesting, but answered just the same. "We seek our student, Ziven. Perhaps you know her?" she asked hopefully, swishing her tail behind her cheerfully with the idea of someone knowing where Ziven may be who was more friendly than that Yawgmoth character.

"Ah, Ziven, yes, I know her, in fact, my Rider is quite smitten with her." Glaedr smiled a bit, not knowing how well David would take it if he found out that he was telling strangers one of his secrets.

Her gaze sharpened, both curious and alarmed by his reply. "Has he .. Rather .. is he an honorable man?" she asked carefully, concerned for Ziven's well being over all else.
