I was thinking more along the lines of actually Star Wars characters being those assigned. See how well one can portray them.

Missing00 Nelowulf been there, done that with the cosplay. Granted, it was before a lot of the nifty stuff... I'd really wish for some ideas of things people would willingly want to do. Writing poems, novels, etc. I guess we could go for a 'RP' throwdown, where you pick a character, write a short monologue and everyone decides on how well you nailed the character. so would the contest go something like this? somebody makes names, occupations, and sexes of some characters; all who participate gets a character randomly assigned and it is up to them to write an interesting back-story and monologue? sounds cool, I like it. It'd be too easy to do then. What i was proposing is sort of like pick a canon character, like Obi-wan. You must write out a scene, and a panel of two or three judges gives it a point percentage of how 'accurate' they feel it's portrayed. @ Des: If you want to do a cosplay thing, but i figure that's pretty low since you can just tektek 'till you're blue in the face. the fanon idea, though, i'm really against because we really don't need more stuff that will never be used to be filling up the OGG.

Not images, actual avatars, they avatars have to be changed by a certain time to be judged.
As for the OGG, its not like that crap build-up would stop anyhow. And it doesn't have to be put there, its just the side prize. Your entry was good enough to be allowed to take a place.
And who say's it wont be used?

It was an RP that really got everyone really PO-ed at each other. We were trying to do the Legacy era in the SW, which was for the most part highly theoretical at the time in terms of tech and whatnot. Because of this, everyone started creating fanon entries, trying to outdo each other like a made up arms race. In the end, all the entries were subsequently also pretty much useless, because we had to shut the entire project down and derail it.
In short, it was a massive waste of creative effort that nobody ever uses again or cares about.

Eh, it's a bit baised to be honest, since i'm sure some people enjoyed it... However, being the guy to clean up the mess never really put me in high favor with it later on.
