"Compared to this land, anything with daylight is a land of Milk and Honey." Replied Jarlaxle, "You should not underestimate the madness created by the destitution the surface dwellers brought upon themselves. There are not enough Mind Flayers to control them all, and certainly, too much time and effort would go into destorying what remains of the remains."

"Since when are drow concerned with sun?" Rhetorical really. Though he also did se the double speak in that. From his own scouting he knew that this place was not like any Underdark he was used to. Half elves, humans, creatures that were much more suited for light...they were all surface born and the surface was where they dwelled. And puzzle pieces told the tale that there was no surface here.

That thought slightly pleased him, for he had never been keen on the damnable surface world. It was only a fruitful hunting ground to him. It wasn't the drow who would kill for a surface, but anyone else. "And what then is the use of spreading such information?"

"Who would gain what if something bad were to happen?" The drow replied, raising his brow to emphasise the hidden agenda.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 11, 2006 4:34 pm

"Depends on what bad were to happen, wouldn't you say? There will always be those who survive and those who don't. That's the way of life. I really could care less as to who does what, and only look out for myself. What would I care if something happened?" After all, he could skip plane in a jiffy if he wanted to.

"If the Princeling continues on his merry way, you may wish you had never been born, as a side effect." The general paused, "And do not think that ceasing to exist would bother these old drow bones."

Onyx was after all a predator, and thought like one. So he voiced his opinion as such.

"When you hunt some rodents, you don't go into thier lair, you go into the lair of another. I believe wolverines are prime examples. a child of the earth mother, looking harm others without her interfernce, doesn't hide away where the earth mother can reach him, even if his powers are infinitely greater then his enemy. he hides in the place she can't go, and thus cut down on even little powers bothering. a place of her counterpart would fit this nicely, yes? this woudl limit the ability of the oracle, her powers. it limits the connection and ability of her dragon to find her, hence his madness, and the inablity for her to be located by those that use teh Earth's mother's power."

A seat on the floor, crosslegged, his wings folded in a bit and tail sweeping back and forth.

"And, the maddened dragon pulls others to a more immediate threat, slowing down response to the real one. a distraction without seemingly intending to be one. not to mention the other one. if that one turns to stop the other, yet another great foe can be neutralized."

A look up at Roarke.

"In case you were wondering, Yes I do have intelligence more so than simply killing. to hunt a wolf, you don't watch dogs. to hunt wolves, you have to know wolves. But I think our more pressing matter..is why take the oracle and go to great length to hide her away? before, he did not care..her vision could not see him, her prophecy could not touch him."

"Then lets enjoy some pieceful noise. and yes, I prefer to have full meals with you, as oppposed to you getting things in the middle of the night. like it or not I woudl not put it past a slavegirl, jealous, in poisoning your food. Nor woudl I put it past Sevilin to do somethign while you up and awake and I am not. I'm a Tier'dal..if not a 'drow'. and we're paranoid about some things too."

Then a clap of his hands for some musicians to play for him, and more bones aded to the fire to get it really burning. There, she coudl have her peacful noise.

"Then get rid of the root of the problem, kill the Princeling." Why let such a problem exist, if not only for one's sheer enjoyment of the chaos he was causing. Then again one who took amusment in another's chaos was nothing more than a follower. What drow wanted to be a follower rather than a leader?

"I still sit with you whether I eat or not Malik. It's never bothered you before." Then again they had never stayed in one place too long before now had they. But here was Malik perhaps being overly paranoid...and making her thus too. "I'm more careful than you think...I get my own food. And Sevilin is only here when he wants to be...why would he waste his time on me? To gain your ill favor?" But she only gave another sigh, snuggling down into and againt him. "There's no reason for me to eat anymore than I feel."

Jarlaxle burst into laughter at the moment Sevilin finished his though. "Kill him, if it were that simple, it would have been done now wouldn't it? Unless of course, I merely lack the power to do so..."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 11, 2006 4:58 pm

"Then get the power to do so or find someone who can. Again I don't care for your problems, I have my own to deal with." Honestly, if Sevilin trusted enough to turn his back he would of turned and walked away by now. Honestly he was finding no personal benefit from this conversation. "Do tell...why is it not that simple?"

"Often enough, the initial shock is not as destructive as the forthcoming tremor." In other words, the initial player is not necessary for this plot.

"Perhaps this concerns you more than you would ever imagine, or wish to care."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 11, 2006 5:07 pm

"Avoiding questions, how typical." It was a type of aversion though Sevilin only scoffed at the other mentionings to himself. "And perhaps it doesn't. Nor would I care if it did until I had to confront such a thing." He gave the other a once over with calculating eyes. "No reason for you to care for my involvement...correct? You do seem awfully concerned about this as a whole." Was that mocking in his voice.

"Maybe I just do not like my role as informer to the 'enemy'." Replied Jarlaxle. "You should understand how difficult it is to tell the assassin that you are turning your back."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 11, 2006 5:16 pm

"Then get yourself a new role." Yes he was perhaps a little irritated now. Another thing on his list of things he didn't like, running around in circles and getting nowhere. This seemed to be turning into one of those times indeed. "And then you should also guess how it is better to not tell him such then."

He nodded. "Indeed, it's all very logical and straight forward. Unfortunatly, it doesn't work by finding the gaps in the godly influence, as I had first thought would be the plan. Influence is simply to random to pin point anywhere."

To be honest, he hadn't suggest anything Roarke hadn't already thought of. "I wasn't wondering. It was rather obvious in your speech patterns."

Imps starred at Zahara from a crack in the ceiling tile, each clutching a homemade paper flower. "Ah gees....think we should?"

"Don't you tihnk we would be depriving her if we didn't?"

"That's right! We are that good looking after all."

They were wearing sports jackets and ties over their pants and t-shirts.

Jell scratched at a horn. "Maybe we shouldn' surprise her this time..."

"Right, ladies don't always like that, do they?"

"Uh...right. Cause you know, we do know all about the ladies."

The punched out the tile and dropped to the floor. This was their idea of not surprising.
