"You can make more people?" Cody blinked. "Do you need more than one?" A little-Dari running around appealed to him; but that'd be much later if it happened at all. "Oh..." Cody scratched his head awkwardly and blushed. "And that was your first time, too..."

Cody kissed Dari's cheek. "Stay with me tonight?" he asked. "We could go up to out mountain, maybe."

"I thought I'd lost you," Cody said. "It took me a few hours to realize how stupid I'd been, but it took me days to strike up the courage to call Toby." he paused and kissed Dari again. "I'm so sorry I upset you, baby."

"I did cry," Cody admitted. He returned the kiss and smiled softly. "I cried and flooded the apartment. You should see the damages." He tsked and shook his head. "We're together. That's what's important."

More time has passed than Toby was comfortable with without any sign of Dari. He wasn't sure if Dari was just staying the night, or if he was a puddle on Cody's floor. He doubted the latter, but it didn't soothe his mind.
He called his own phone from Maia's and waited while it rang.

Dari's hands were covered in dough; so Cody answered. He expected Maia to be on the other line, and hesitated. "Hello?" he asked.

Dari meanwhile heard Toby's voice and continued working the dough.

"Oh, alright. Can I talk to him for a minute?" Toby lacked the sort of hearing Dari had and couldn't hear anyone else in the room. Dari, however, heard Toby, smiled, and rolled his eyes.
