[[ WOO PAGE 500 ]]

[ Kyle ; Ajora ; Riku : Louis’ Heart : Station of Awakening ]

Kyle nearly stumbled as the hex took hold of him, sending a primal shiver down his spine; his vulnerability was palpable to him now--he needed to stay on the move. Fortunately, his speed and reflexes were unhindered, so dodging the lightning-laser was a breeze. But his response...

The dragoon stared in horror, and felt his body freeze up as he was caught up in the onslaught.

When all was said and done, Kyle was pushing himself not simply to keep moving--the bolt singed his recently-healed flesh--but to stay conscious. His eyes revealed desperation, his breathing was ragged, and the weapons behind him slowed down as he struggled to maintain focus.

If Mathy hadn't just cured me...

When the wave of Regen and Cura hit, it was if he had never been struck, and he found himself equal parts paranoid and furious.

This bullshit nearly killed me!

As he flew around the burning rim of the battlefield, he ascended just slightly to get a better view, and everything slowed down--or, more aptly, his thoughts went into overdrive.

Yuffie down, Axel down, Nanaki down, Amy rezzing Yuffie. ******** Ajora. Why am I not surprised? Norns and Mel and piece of s**t. But he's been helping, so--is that why Nich was buddybuddy? No, he doubted her, too. Alone? Real or specter?

The rage of the Darkness echoed in his thoughts, and he decided he didn't care. He knew how badly Ajora had pushed to resist them--how he had demanded (never asked, never begged) death rather than possession. Whatever his ulterior goal, Ajora could be counted on against this.

He mentally checked off what remaining strength he had before allowing time to return to normal, quickening himself.

"Enemy of our bigger enemy is at least a temp-ally. Ajora's okay for now. All attackers, eyes on Nicholas, let the tanks hold front and center. All supports, keep doing your thing!"

The twin was struck by a second bolt of lightning and hopped backwards off his knees, grunting. He looked around, his expression tense, as if expecting attacks from all sides--but when he felt Regen and the healing take effect, the look faded.

His eyes passed over James, Bobbi, and Dawn--all of whom, he knew, had just been forced to use up entire swaths of mana. He bit his lip, shook his head, and wave an arm--

--and suddenly, all three would feel an overwhelming surge of magic energy flow back into their bodies, filling them up to the brim.

In watching this, Kyle quickly landed in front of Ajora in a blur--a blur that didn't seem to catch the replica off guard in the slightest.

"Uh-uh," he said, jabbing the other's chest with his index finger--and imbuing him with Quick. "Revive duty."

"I was giving them energy, you're welcome," he replied, no real inflection to his voice, before he waved his other hand toward Nanaki--and with time-enhanced focus, the lion was revived and fully healed. "Now--"

Kyle was already gone; Ajora grumbled.

The dual raids came as a shock; the first struck him directly, having come from behind, but he was able to twist around in time enough to deflect the second. As a result, he was also able to dodge the Blizzaga-beam. However, the Limit surprised him, and all that came after.

He managed to stay upright, glaring upward momentarily. Nicholas had enough people surrounding him that Riku didn't feel comfortable joining the fray--he'd only trip someone else up. Yet his mind still burned; they were dealing with lackeys instead of the boss, but damaging the darkness had done nothing to stop its growth.

We can't just do nothing...

Growling, he focused his magic, grabbing the second key, spinning both of them into a reverse grip, and then--with a shout--stabbing both into the ground simultaneously.

Nothing happened immediately, but shortly after Joseph's final attacks, and without any hint or warning, the ground beneath Chaos erupted. A dense pillar of stone, formed by the powerful Quake, rocketed upward at blinding speed, aiming both to damage the foe as well as launch him skyward.

As the stone burst forth, Kyle reappeared.

If Chaos was knocked skyward, the four golden "blades" appeared beneath him at four corners, each angled to point upward at the enemy--and they rushed forward in one swift convergence, their piercing strikes aiming to keep him stunned.

If Chaos dodged or otherwise remained on the ground, they would instead have appeared around him, in the same four-corner fashion, and converged upon him horizontally, like a gouging cross.

Immediately after either, a thin streak of light was the only evidence that Kyle had struck--having Vaulted skyward, he descended with magic-imbued strength, crashing down like some starborne spear and striking Chaos into the ground with crater-forming momentum. He then immediately leapt back and disappeared with unseen speed.

[[ Kyle used Quick on self.

Ajora used ??? on James, Bobbi, and Dawn, giving instant full MP.

Kyle used Quick on Ajora.

Ajora used Arise on Nanaki.

Riku used a Quake on Chaos for 32 Earth MAG (after weakness), more focused on knocking him skyward than raw damage (so less than that for damage).

Kyle used Psychokinesis to have the four blades converge for 20 MAG, followed by Basilisk Break + Dive for 37 Light STR (after weakness) before running away.

Due to S-Trance, Basilisk Break does not self-inflict Disable. ]]

{Bobbi, Demyx, Zell, Red XIII, Yuffie .:. Louis's Heart .:. Station of Awakening}

Nanaki was still reeling from the dark tendril's version of the archer's ice rain spell, and the scythe-like blades that had followed shortly after. He was caught completely by surprise when Dawn, under control of the dark thorns, cast a buffing spell on Bobbi—and by Bobbi's subsequent attack. He barely had time to register what had happened, that Bobbi had somehow turned against them for reasons unknown, before the immense pain of the attacks followed him down into oblivion.

Bobbi had a brief moment of satisfaction at watching Axel and Nanaki fall, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth, and she searched for another target—not that she could do much, as Diamond Dust had completely drained her of mana—when Melisandre delivered a sharp blow to the back of her neck. The archer stumbled forward with a grunt; the blow had caught her by surprise, and she fell to her knees, skinning her hands on the rough concrete and broken glass.

The sensation she felt after the blow was rather like coming back to reality after getting lost in a book. It was as if some sort of trance had been broken, and a fog cleared from her mind as her outlook shifted from one reality to another. At first thinking of the people around her as her enemies, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, to suddenly realizing exactly what had happened—

Worse, she realized exactly what she had done.

.:Guys?:. she sent tentatively over the charms, the words heavily laced with guilt and remorse thick enough to taste, bitter and metallic. .:I—:.

She never got a chance to finish that thought, to finish saying "I'm sorry," though the emotion was there for anyone to read. The combined attack from Auron and Axel's unconscious body washed over and cut her off before she could finish the thought. Bobbi didn't even have enough strength left to shriek in pain, the best she could manage was a whimper, and to curl in on herself as every nerve burned.

Gasping for breath, nearly sobbing with agony, Bobbi attempted to stand, but the best she could manage at the moment was a kneeling position. She knew perfectly well that the only reason she had survived that combined fire twister was because of the healing that Matt had given earlier. Without it, she'd have been out. As it was, she was barely holding on.

Her vision was blurring white around the edges, but she could see clearly enough to watch in horrified fascination as Melisandre's form shifted, revealing a man in casual Earth clothes and a familiar face—

Ajora.

Time seemed to stop. Certainly her breath did as she stared at the man. How many times had she thought he was dead, only to have him return as an illusion? Was this illusion, too? Or was it really him? She didn't know, had no way of guessing, but one thing was clear. If Ajora was Melisandre, and Melisandre was the one to break her out of the Dark Charm, then it was really Ajora who had saved her from further hurting her precious friends. She had no idea why he would do that, it didn't make any sense to her if his ultimate goal was anything she had previously assumed it was. So either this was another illusion, or she had completely misjudged Ajora and his motives. Either way, she had no idea how to react to this new revelation.

That is, until she saw him wave his hand and felt her mana replenished. She had no idea what he did, but it was helping them and anyway, Kyle said he was okay and she trusted Kyle with her life. She had her magic back, and Amy had added her own Cura spell to Dawn's dance, so Bobbi encased herself in her Frost Armor—but not before trying to reverse the same spell that she had granted Chaos while she was Charmed. Her attempt to take back her spell failed, but thanks to Ajora, she wasn't worried about replenishing her magic. If only there was a way to negate the armor—wait.

.:If someone throws fire at Nichaos, it'll melt the armor,:. she advised via charms. .:Sorry.:.

She'll always be sorry for what she did, and she would never stop apologizing, but right now she had s**t to shoot so she kept her apology short. Bobbi cloaked an arrow in her magic and aimed high into the air. She fed her mana further into the spell, increasing its potency before she loosed. At the apex of her arrow's flight, it burst into a rain of dagger-sharp icicles directly above Chaos, and would impact him simultaneously with Kyle's attack.

Demyx cried out in surprise and pain as the rain of dagger-like icicles from the dark tendril found and skewered him. But what really rained on his parade was standing right next to Bobbi when she decided to go ice-nuclear. He was knocked back by the force of the exploding ice and landed painfully, only to find himself unable to move as the ice-dagger skewering process repeated itself, followed by two powerful bolts. The Melodious Nocturne got slowly to his feet, trembling with pain and vision going white. Luckily for him, three different people decided that was the right time to start doing healing stuff, so his pain didn't last long.

He saw the blow dealt by Melisandre to the archer girl, and figured she had that particular situation taken care of, so he brought Arpeggio up with the intent to target and hopefully destroy another one of those pesky tendrils, only for three more people to be taken over by those dark thorn things. He dealt with Auron and Axel's fire twister by protecting himself with a dome of his Water Wall, and curling up into as small of a target as he could manage beneath it. The needle-like rain continued to fall, but he couldn't think of anything he could do to counter it.

Zell was surprised by Yuffie's Gauntlet attack, and was knocked back by the concussive force of the spell. He had just recovered and flipped to his feet when Bobbi's limit spell went off, and he found himself held in place momentarily as he was assaulted by ice and lightning, followed shortly by a fire twister as Auron and Axel were controlled—he was really, really hating those shadow-vines. He caught Bobbi's apology over the charms, and responded to the underlying guilt.

.:It's not your fault, kid. That wasn't you.:.

He'd been knocked away from Chaos by Yuffie's attack, and several others had already gotten into the fray before he could recover properly. Zell looked around to see if there was anything else ground-bound he could strike at, but all that was left to hit was Chaos and the darkness, which he couldn't reach. The monk bit off a curse, but decided to wait until a more opportune moment to strike.

Yuffie crawled her way to consciousness thanks to Amy's revival spell. The great ninja shook her head groggily, trying to clear the last of unconsciousness from her mind.

"Ow," she complained as she got to her feet. She pressed a hand to her chest to reassure herself that her heart was, in fact, beating and her lungs working. "What got me?"

Nanaki grunted as Ajora's spell revived him, and the great lion heaved himself upright before shaking himself all over. A quick glance around the field and listening to the messages coming in from the charms told him everything he needed to know about what had transpired during his brief period of unconsciousness.

Rolls for Stop:
Demyx rolled: 8 (failed! Aw, so close, buddy)
Zell: auto-fail, his resistance x2 is 6. Sorry, bb XD
I didn't roll for Nanaki because the ice was gonna kill him anyway, so why bother? And Yuffie wasn't successfully revived until after the limit, so no roll for her.

Rolls for Black Storm: Literally everyone rolled 2 or 3. No, really.

Actions taken
Nanaki: K.O., followed by reviving (thanks, Ajora!)
Bobbi: Frost Armor, Hailstorm +2 charge on Nichaos
Demyx: Water Wall, one action (thanks to Haste) held
Zell: no actions taken

{James ; Auron ; Leon : Louis’ Heart : Station of Awakening}

Even as Mathy’s healing magic replenished the corsair’s health a bit, he remained on his knees. His body ached inside and out. His fingers twitched occasionally as his nervous system endeavored to regulate itself, regain normal function. James barely managed to rise to his feet before Auron and Axel’s Hellfire Tornado tore through the group. Black flames licked and razor wind cut harshly, knocking James back to the ground. This combined with the powerful rain that continued to descend upon the field disheartened the corsair even more. Before he could recover from the onslaught a bolt of lightning from the dark storm struck him. The energy that coursed through his body and seemed to make a good wake-up call as he finally managed to get back to his feet.

’Need to replenish my mana,’ He thought as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his last ether. Right as he was about to drink it though he stopped as he felt a sudden surge of energy fill him his mana reserves to the brink. That was when James fully registered that Ajora was present and apparently aiding them. The corsair wasn't sure what to think in regards to that, but couldn't really do anything other than roll with it at that point.

It was at that point that Jenny used Esuna on James and the recollection of all of his abilities in an instant nearly overwhelmed his mind as they call came back. He nodded his head in thanks as he pulled the Light Card out of it’s box, his actions fueled by the returned haste. As he tried to focus his energy to manifest the Light Elemental attack he could sense it wasn’t working correctly. The energy that was building was reduced and it definitely didn’t possess any Light elemental power to it.

’What’s going on Fenrir? It’s not working right.’

’Your magical network was damaged when you unleashed all of that Limit Energy without control. It will take a bit for it to recover fully,” Fenrir replied.

’Great…. guess I’ll just have to make do,’ The corsair stated with a mental sigh.

Unable to do much else, James aimed at Chaos, timing his two shots at Chaos to combine with the other oncoming attacks. The shots power was definitely weaker. However, at that point some damage was better than none and it was pretty much all he could do.

Auron’s attack was easily evaded by the much faster avatar of Chaos and try as the unsent samurai might to catch up and strike again he did not get the opportunity to before all hell broke loose. Yuffie’s gauntlet caught him in it’s explosion which he stood and bared. Then came the archer’s Ice attack. The Limit Break hurt a fair bit and came with an additional side effect of freezing the samurai to the ground. The ice left the samurai open for the double-dose of lightning that was to follow.

Then just like a number of the other combatants, Auron was grabbed by thorny tendrils and dragged into the shadow to dwell there for what felt like far too long before he returned in the middle of the platform, unable to control his own actions as he unleashed his Tornado which combusted courtesy of Axel’s contribution and caused havoc on the field. More lightning struck him as he prepared to make his move back towards Chaos once again. He wasn’t doing much against him. However, they needed him to keep the pressure on Chaos. He took two strikes at him, unsure if they would hit or not.

Leon could do little more than bare the continued attacks from the Tendril Raid, Bobbi’s Limit Break and the lightning strike that followed though he was able to dodge that. Auron and Axel’s Infernal Tornado ripped through the battlefield immediately afterwards and blocked off access to the remaining tendrils as Kyle pointed out, making Chaos their only real target at that time. All of the attacks though were definitely taking their toll on the gunblader and the rest of the group as well. Healing came in various forms though and they recovered. Leon quickly ran towards Chaos and struck at him, following it up with a Fira.

James: 2x Regular Shot(6 Mag each due to magic circuit malfunction)
Auron: 2x Regular strike 13 STR reduced -1 Due to Tendril Break
Leon: 1x Regular attack 10 STR, Fira: 6 MAG

[Dani:~: Louis' Heart:~: ‘The Box’]
Dani looked on in shock as her normal chakram was sucked into the abomination. Standing there in shock she suddenly noticed Bobbi fire off a limit break and started to move. While she took some damage, she felt it was easy to move across the ice that was trying to stop her movements in that moment she also managed to dodge the oncoming attack as well as the dark storm that seemed to keep on coming.

The rage within her never faded, she started to shout at the abomination in anger. “GIVE.ME.BACK.MY.WEAPON!!!” She then put both of her hands together creating a familiar water flare before launching it at the abomination. This one however, stopped half distance of the blast range of the flare before detonating, with the intent of hitting the abomination without it being within.

[Authors Note:
Water flare: deals 12 damage to the Dark Abomination unless resisted.

As discussed with Kyle, rest of my actions are held for the beginning for the next round. ]

[ McAngryface :: Louis' Heart :: Station of Awakening ]

Chaos had a devious smirk as he continued his way through the battlefield. This new foe, he was a challenge, and with all the strengthening spells from the possessed gunman, the Walker of the Wheel was feeling superior to the Earthlings. Even when the gunman, in his panic, released a "Limit Break" and cast upon the whole battlefield, the protection he had gained from the archer and the gunman made the magical attack wash over him as if it was a harsh breeze. There was a little pain, but nothing to bat an eye at. He would gut that fool at his convenience, but his focus was now needed on the thunder-wielding bellowing fool who dare think he could move in close. As John swung his maul, Chaos did a double step back as John moved in for his combo. The uppercut clipped his jaw, not fully connecting due to the agility the Walker of the Wheel had, but as stumbling back, Chaos released a powerful gust of air aimed directly at John's chest to push him far back as possible while delivering as much pain as possible to the Warrior. Moving back as quickly as he could to regain control of the fight, the distraction from John had left him unaware of Joe's counter until the tranced human spoke to him mockingly. Chaos looked, realizing the damage that had been done.

Chaos' Firaga was gone, absorbed and redirected. Then, as another personal affront to the almighty King of Samsara, his beautiful boons were wiped away by that fool who dare mock him! Before Chaos could give chase, he was assaulted by pieces of a stave. The light magic behind them burned his flesh, and he hissed. As more of the attacks came his way, the unamused god began weaving this way and that, dodging most of the attack but getting a glancing blow from one other. "Child, you think your shattered tool will harm me? Projectile attacks are useless against a God of the Winds!"

Before Chaos could continue his taunt, the earth around him shifted, and the Avatar of Wind was thrown skyward. A very foolish mistake, mortals. the God chuckled, bringing the whipblade around to begin his counterstrike. A chill most familiar ran down his back, and Chaos whipped around with the four blades of light, doing his best to block them from striking him as the host of the traitor came down upon him. Chaos came down back to earth hard, hissing and cursing at Kyle the whole way until he crashed. He lay upon the station, as if utterly defeated. A barrage of ice shards rained down, shredding the god even further. He lay still. One moment, two moments...

Then a small groan of agony rang out. A painful, pitiful moan from an almighty god. Chaos turned his head, staring at the kneeling Ajora for a long moment. Ajora was here? His Bloody Angel was there, and she could turn the tides of this battle! But as he stared at the Replica of Kyle, a feeling washed over him. A sudden, brutal realization. Chaos could not sense her. He could not feel Ultima's presence from Ajora. The dark cracks along Nicholas' face flared up, and a feeling of utter despair and madness spread over the field and through everyone.

Chaos would rise slowly, and his voice rang out distorted, monstrous, and pants-shittingly terrifying. His gaze locked onto Ajora, and a simple five word question would ring out with no remorse, no pity. Just pure rage.

W͖͉͇͚͈̩͍̦̽ͭ͂̈H̡̓̈͐͌ͪ̑̓҉͚̩͝Ḛ͕̝͇̙̻ͮ͐͂ͩ̿ͧͧͬṚ̶̞͓̹̲͇̪͋̐͗̐ͫ̀͊E̷̦̙̲͓͋ͥͤ̌́̐͊ ̞̲̱̹͇ͪͯͥ̿ͯ̈́̊Ị̲͓̭̲̋ͨͥ̌͊̀͛ͩ͊Ş̷̭͚̿̈́͝ ͭ̑̇̚͡͏̝̭͍̟̺̕M͉̖̻̠̞̖ͫ̽̈́ͣ͊͝Y̢͖͓̥͛͋̆͒̿͂ ̰̩͔ͭ̀̆͠B̶̷̺̝̠͆̒̀̀͗ͧͮͫL̺̫̗̔ͮƠ̵͍̱̝̫͗̔̓̊ͨͪ̑͆Ö́͒ͫ̓҉҉͓̻D̍ͯ҉̥̹Y̦͍͔̖̮̙͗́͞ͅ ̸̸͔͉̯̰ͫ͂͒̚A̩̒ͧ̉̂̿̀Ṅ͈̔̐͂͋G̝̫͖͚̦͚̖̉̊̐̎̀͆͜Ȅ̙͉̫̩̩̑L̶̸͈̪̰̜̖̮̹̋ͥ͑̀͐ͬ̀̚!̹̖̪̯̹́̒̾ͫ͂͒͝?̷̛̼͎͚̜̥ͩ̄ͅ

The demigod would make his way towards Ajora in a violent yet eerily calm manner, only changing his movement to release a large, violent burst of wind that would push anyone and any projectiles within twenty feet of him away. Chaos' grip was wound tightly around the whipblade's hilt, and the only thought echoing through Chaos' mind was how many cuts it would take to flay off all of Ajora's skin from his body.

He aimed to do it in under four.

Alright, TL;DR time.
-Aerial blast against John
-Sudden burst of dread across the battlefield [No damage or status debuff, just major shivers down spine and freaky as all hell.]
-Aerial push in a huge radius around Chaos to clear his path towards Ajora[?].

If that's the actual Ajora... well.

Boy, you bettah run.

[ Ajora ; Kyla ; John ; Sayrike ; Matthew : Louis' Heart : Station of Awakening ]

Taking a breath after reviving, Ajora felt the surge of wind magic and turned, concerned, toward the battle... only for that concern to very quickly become mild panic as the Scion marched forward.

"Uh, hehe, funny thing about that," he said, smiling sheepishly--before vanishing entirely.

John growled as he was pushed away, his unfathomably fast attacks still barely scraping at the possessed man. The initial gust of wind hardly pushed him--he was a tank, stable and resilient--and was preparing to charge forward again when the second, stronger gust of wind completely pushed him off his feet.

As he fell, however, he threw out his hand, unleashing a charged Magnega spell at the enemy's backside. The spell exploded shortly behind Chaos, and with blinding yellow light began to pull the foe into its magnetic vortex. It might not be strong enough to pull him in and lock him down, but it was at least strong enough to reduce any momentum trying to pull away from it.

In all the mayhem, with the attacks coming constantly, Kyla was growing frustrated. However, when Amy called out to Dawn and passed her healing through the latter's dance, the artist suddenly realized the answer to her issue of who to help--everyone.

Hoping that Dawn was still allowing her magic dance to receive input, Kyla channeled her Warding Lotus Wall into her ally's steps--and though the mana drain was noticeably more than usual, she could feel and see that everyone in the party was suddenly flashing with the protective aura of her spell, though it visibly faded immediately thereafter.

With the healing taken care, the blue mage took a breath, trying to keep track of what was going on. All that was left was Chaos, it seemed--so Matthew decided to take a gamble. Digging in his pockets, he pulled out a Dragon's Fang and an Eye Drop, and fusing them together, he felt magic well up in his lungs. With a deep exhale, a Dark Sigh escaped his lips, releasing a fast-moving black fog that rushed to surround Chaos, sinking into his eyes and attacking his mind.

After that, he tossed up one hand, let loose a crackle of raw magic, and slammed the arm downward, as if motioning for something to fall. There was a momentary blink, a thin stream of energy that shone on Chaos from above, not even an inch wide, and it vanished just as quickly, likely unseen in the chaos of the fog and the Magnega. Then, barely one second later, a massive, thundering blast erupted from the sky as if from an orbital cannon, blasting the everywhere within 3 feet of Chaos with Nanoflare.

Sayrike also took advantage of the chaos, flinging her two side mirrors at Chaos with her mind. They each flew in a curve, coming at him from his sides, and as they neared, they exploded into glass shards, swarming him like a hundred razor-thin blades.

[ Darkness Outlasts Light : Louis' Heart : Station of Awakening ]

As they fought against Chaos, their lone opponent, the process completed, and laughter echoed simultaneously as screeching pierced their minds. The rest of the assault came without warning.

A blur of motion erupted from the fiery wall behind Joe, and all that others might have seen was the glint of massive steel; something--or someone--unleashed a staggering downward slash at his back, the heavy blade emblazoned with sickly black and ghastly blue aura-flames.

The attacker appeared to be none other than... Cloud. His skin was an unnaturally lifeless grey, as if he were smeared with ashes, and black veins were protruding from every inch of visible skin, including his face.

Riku, preparing to unleash some new attack on Chaos, suddenly found bladed chains wrapping around both of his wrists, surging with malevolence, only to have them yanked backward with spine-cracking force. He was spun around in an unseen blur, the snaring chains searing his flesh every moment, and slammed into Dawn with the force of a truck.

The chains released him, flying back to their wielder, where they coiled back within the giant gauntlets belonging to... Anthony. He, too, was ashen grey and covered in coursing darkness.

Elsewhere, without warning, Dani would find herself suddenly ensnared by an electrified net-snare, launched from behind. The edges of the net were bola-like weights, each weighing some-odd pounds; the force of their launched momentum made them curl and wrap around the woman's smaller frame, knotting up in the mesh-net that trapped her. The metal net then surged with volatile energy, sending powerful shocks coursing through every inch of mesh, surrounding her entire body in pain.

Her attacker stepped from the flames, walking in on a metallic peg leg--Captain Silver, just as grey and corrupted as the others. His gun was trained and ready for the next assault, his cybernetic eye scanning the field.

Finally, there was another blur of motion, a shimmer that seemed to bounce from one flicker of flames to another shadow across the field. Three times, the person appeared, but only for the briefest of seconds, barely long enough to blink--and each time, the foe left a thin, painful cut near the calf, arm, or neck of a target, whichever was easier accessed.

John felt the blade at his neck as he tried to get back to his feet, and though the pain surged through him, the debilitating effects failed to lessen his defenses.

Matthew, caught mid-breath after his Nanoflare, felt the slash at his neck as well--not deep enough to kill, but enough to hurt. However, whatever else the assault had tried failed to lessen his potential.

Nanaki would feel the lash at his hind quarters as the foe flew past, a thin blade cutting into his back leg. However, the magic effect kicked in almost immediately thereafter--his blood was locking his own body down, bringing him to a total standstill.

The last thing he saw, due to his bestial senses and reflexes, was the side of the enemy's face as it flew into another slit of darkness in the fabric of reality. It was a face he could recognize far too easily now, after this long night--for of course it was Louis, rapier in hand, looking grey as death and covered in thick, pulsing veins of ink-black evil.

[[ Cloud used Sonic Blade on Joetomos! STR 16.

[Dani:~: Louis' Heart:~: Station of Awakening]

“GAHH!” Dani roared in pain as the electrical net trapped her in place. “Why…” Dani thought as the electricity coursed through her body, doing more damage than she ever thought it would have.

“It seems someone found your weakness towards electricity,” Leviathan spoke, sounding tired. “When you and I formed a bound, you took my properties. This means you are now a lot weaker to electricity.”

“This would have been nice to know a while ago,” Dani thought, frustrated and stared at Captain Silver. In that moment a familiar mist began to pour over her form before melting her body away into water. At that same moment, a single clone formed out of the water in between the now fallen net. However, the clone was destroyed by the shocks causing water to burst out onto the net and short the net out.

When enough time passed, Dani reformed herself back onto the battlefield, still only one target on her mind.

{ Gaze Now Upon Your Fate: The Bound'ries Fray. }
{ Last Stand }

{ Alt: L'Eminenza Oscura, Second Movement }

The hovering collective of malignancy was so widely spread now that its edges were hidden behind the wall of twisting fire. But the otherworldly atmosphere of the station was ripe with despair and fury, madness and terror. Those below could no longer determine if they felt the burgeoning darkness from within themselves or from their surroundings--all they knew was that it both surrounded them and pervaded the fabric of their lives. Their chests would be heavy, the muscle of their physical heart tightly wound up within their ribs, their breathing labored. This was not a realm for the living.

Dani's explosion of water magic struck the facade of darkness, but the only visible effect--if one could even see it in the shadow of the sky--was a collection of ripples along the black cloud, spreading outward and fading. The chilling laughter echoed throughout, softly now, as if the abomination was simply chuckling to itself, themselves, even as four new puppets danced upon the stage.

The black briars burst from the ruined station once more, dragging down five more victims: Matthew, Sayrike, John, Kyle, and Joseph. They, as all before, heard that voice, that single call, a plea from the shadows amidst the infinite screeching and laughing:

"Wake up."

Their descent ushered yet more chaos, each bound by strings of onyx taint.

John did not fall gently, but like a comet ahead of the rest, and struck the ground with a mighty blow from his maul; the shockwave, though disorienting for everyone on the field, did no damage--instead, it sent a massive column of electricity, colored the cold hues of steel and sky, into the massive black cloud above. Now, the storm that had pestered them grew dangerous, crackling, and each bolt carried the a much more threatening charge.

Above him, mid-fall, Matthew's hands were outstretched, as if to grab something from the air--and shadows formed in his palms, manifesting as globs of pure Dark Matter. He shoved them together, beginning the synthesis.

Beside him, Sayrike called her three mirrors to her, and with a wave, shattered them all, making hundreds of shards--each of which refracted, multiplied, over and over, until she and the other four were surrounded by a thick weave of glass.

As Kyle fell, his arms were wrapped around him, his weapons all hovering idly by, and energy pooled within his veins like a surge breaking the floodgates. The circuits that were already lit began to flicker between sickly white and ominous black, and his eyes carried no irises or pupils.

As they each landed, they began to act in unison. Sayrike pushed her arms downward, and the glass began to cover the floor, melting and spreading in the blink of an eye to cover the ruined station like a thin layer of mercury. It even absorbed the colored glass that had once been the mosaic itself.

Meanwhile, Matthew took the unstable mixture, which pushed outward from his hands, demanding to be released, and shoved it into Kyle's back.

Kyle, in turn, arched his back, threw back his head, and stretched out his arms--and a massive, field-wide magic circle, colored black and silver, spread out through the refractive glass, spinning and clicking into place. With a scream of pain and rage, the magic hummed... and erupted.

The entire station had been turned into a giant bomb. The glass shattered, like one great fragmentation grenade, bursting upward and outward with cloth- and skin-shredding force. The spell circle unleashed a devastating pulse of magic, as if the entire column had become a pillar of black-and-silver energy, that burned their flesh with the corrosive taint of darkness.

When the energy finally faded, the rain had stopped...

... and then Joseph descended.

In a blur, the broken monk slipped down in front of Kyle, his shattered staff pieces in each hand, and as he landed, he flourished each so that they were carried backwards. He lifted his arms, focused his strength, and while the rest of their wires slowly began to recede and the battlefield recovered from the blast, he brought down his fractured staff, stabbing Kyle on two sides of his upper chest simultaneously with the ragged ends. He then ripped the pieces out as violently as possible, kicking Kyle backward and to the ground. The dark tendrils controlling them all vanished, leaving all five in the center yet again.

The storm, infused with power, began to loose its bolts yet again, and the dull laughter echoed on.

[[ John used Thunder Flood! Black Storm is gonna be more of a b***h!

Sayrike used Mirror Storm Infusion! (Chaos would be able to resummon his captive sword now!)

Matthew used Shadowflare Infusion!

Kyle used Fractured Shadow Ragnarok! Everyone takes 10 STR and 18 Dark MAG (after weakness calc.).

Joseph used The Lannisters Darkness sends their regards on Kyle! Does 16 STR straight to the heart and he's to blame darlin' he gives love a bad name

Fire Tornado - If you are within arm's reach of the edge of the station, you still take damage.

Dani’s Pressure Tempest is over!

Black Storm ~ Thunder Flood Edition – Roll 1-3; if 1, you’re hit directly by a much larger bolt for 8 MAG; if 2, the wide bolt strikes close enough that you still get shocked for 5 MAG. 3 is still a total miss.

Station Size Disclaimer:

The following are all vaguely rounded estimates for ease.
The station is roughly 60 meters (200 feet) wide.
It is roughly 190 meters (620 feet) around.
The Fire Tornado completely encompasses the station.

[Amy ; Jenny ; Kyle : Louis’ Heart : Station of Awakening ]

Blasted, gashed, and struck by powerful lightning. No, Jenny was not having the best time.

She grunted, looking over to Kyle--he was still breathing, though recuperating. From there, she looked at the four new enemies amongst them--enemies, friends, allies, the Darkness kept blurring the line, kept forcing them into impossible positions. She couldn't hear their heartsongs, but that meant little in this chaos, when everything was undecipherable nonsense to begin with.

Amy's Cura-All had helped immensely before--she reached out to the White Mage and offered a similar offer, beginning her song.

Amy pushed herself back to her feet, wiping away the glass shards that had fallen around her. She was practically out of mana now; she downed an Ether when Jenny reached out to her.

Pairing up with the songstress, she sent out another healing wave, though it was weaker this time, and leveled her guns on Silver, unleashing a Diaga Blast in his direction.

With Amy's healing Cura, Jenny was able to send out a Cure-All, quickly starting back on her Haste song.

Kyle lay on the ground, his breathing heavy, blood leaking from his wounds. His eyes were shaky, but his heart beat strong, adrenaline and more rushing through his system.

"I'm fine," he mentally announced, though even his mind's voice sounded as if it were struggling, growling.

"Wake up."

The voice had been clearly recognizable, and Kyle had been fighting to control his emotions since the moment he heard it. Even in that seemingly-infinite abyss of pain, the voice enraged him.

How dare they.

There were times throughout the night when his memories would grow foggy, when Ajora's would try to push forward. When his heart was torn between compassion and obsession, between trepidation and terror, frustration and rage. The memory fusion should have been complete, but it was messy, conflicting; memories taking place at the same chronological moment argued over who had the priority of being "ours" and what had the misfortune of being "theirs". Two different lives, two very different perspectives--except for one thing. There was one piece, one memory, which for both had remained identical--the loss. The fall.

The voice had reminded him. Suddenly
everything clicked.

{ Cue : Rage Awakened ~ Metal Cover }

There was a flash of light and a pulse of limit energy as suddenly, Kyle was hovering upright once again, the makeshift blades disappearing entirely. His flesh was no longer covered in circuitry, the energy-wings were gone, and his hair was back to normal; but now his clothing had lost its colors, its hues of green and gold. All that remained was black and white, as if so someone had maxed or minimized the contrast entirely, leaving him in some new final state. His weapons followed suit, a shimmering white version of his old spear hovering to his right, and a iridescent black version of Ajora's spear on his left.

He surged with temporal energy, then draconic energy ensnared his weapons, and he flickered... vanishing.

Simultaneously, he appeared on both sides of Chaos--two places, two Kyles, and four spears. The one on Chaos' right struck out with a debilitating strike from the white spear; a half-second later, the one on his left grabbed his spear and, with magic-enhanced strength, unleashed a Basilisk Break; almost immediately thereafter, the first one unleashed a second defense rending attack. All three occurred within the span of a second.

[[ Amy used Ether, Cure-All (+3 CON), and Diaga Blast on Silver!

Jenny allowed a spell-mix, then used Haste!

Kyle activated [Level 1 Limit], Quick, Quick, Lancet Aura, and Déjà Vu!

Present!Kyle then used Basilisk Break on Chaos!

Future!Kyle used Rending Fang {Deprotect} and Rending Fang {Deshell} on Chaos!

Details on Limit:

All previous boosts ended, as well as S-Trance.

[Level 1]United Heart, Awakened Rage [Limit Drive] – Limit energies flood and refresh Kyle’s mana as they push him beyond. Surpassing a Summon Drive, Kyle performs a fully-unified self-drive in which he synchronizes with the all aspects of his heart—Light, Darkness, and that which lay between. Ultima is similarly empowered, thus affecting his elemental abilities. His power increases immensely for the duration of the drive, which lasts as long as a normal drive would, but once over, Kyle is drained of all Mana and Drive. Further still, the strain on Kyle's heart is prohibitive; this power is saved only for the most critical moments of life or death, as afterward he cannot perform any Limit Break without significant rest, e.g. at least half a day of rest, or a full night’s sleep. Limit Passives:
  • True Ascendant – Kyle has Dragon Force, Mighty Guard, Haste, Blink, and Flight for the duration of the drive.
  • Greater Synthesis - Kyle's spear splits into two, each taking their original form--a white version of Kyle's previous spear, and a black version of Ajora's. He can control these psychokinetically.
  • Rage Undying – Should Kyle's health reach zero in the midst of this drive, all remaining power erupts instantaneously for immense damage (equal to his remaining mana and energy) in homing projectiles. Afterward, Kyle is instead left at 1 HP, but forced out of the drive preemptively.

[Joseph: Louis' Heart: Station of Awakening]

He tried to fight the briers of darkness, but to no real avail as he was pulled into the darkness. The darkness enveloped him, the laughter and screeching driving deep into his skull.

"Wake up."

The voice seemed to weaken the laughter and screeching, but Joseph didn't immediately descend. No, he was kept there longer, left with a hum in his skull. It almost sounded...contemplative.

But eventually, he did descend, and he watched as he stabbed his friend in the chest, leaving bloody holes in his chest. And once he gained control he dropped the broken weapon pieces, his wind flicking off as much of the blood that dripped and trickled down onto his hands.

He wasn't okay with this. He felt violated, he felt disgusted. He felt afraid....

Kyle said he was okay, even though he didn't actually sound like it. And Joseph shook his head, clearing it as best as he could. And got a sharp shock as a lightning bold struck near him, jolting him into action.

He once again threw his staff pieces at Chaos. Once again infused with light, the pieces flew after the Ivalician summon.

{Bobbi, Demyx, Zell, Red XIII, Yuffie .:. Louis's Heart .:. Station of Awakening}

Bobbi whimpered and tried to block out the dark emotions emanating from Chaos, but still they affected her. Her heart raced and tears blurred her vision, and all she wanted to do was curl herself into a ball and hide from the world and everything in it. But even so, she had never let fear stop her before, and she wasn't about to now, even with the hideous laughter and screeching that made her ears want to bleed. She felt Shiva in the back of her mind and heart giving her a wordless encouragement.

Not that it did much to protect her from her friends as they were manipulated into attacking once again. She cried out in pain as the mercurial magic mirror exploded upwards. It cut through her Frost Armor to the tender flesh beneath, and now her tears spilled over from the overwhelming pain. She gritted her teeth and hissed, but refused to let the pain stop her. Hastily, after using her icy magic to numb her wounds, Bobbi wiped her tears away and cleared her vision, just as a bolt of the black lightning struck somewhere behind her--and she heard Yuffie swear.

She was a terrible influence on these peoples' vocabularies.

She couldn't see Cloud, Anthony, or the fourth attacker--Louis, as she would learn. The only opponents she had visible were Silver, Chaos, and the dark collective. As much as she wanted to take out the mass of darkness floating above their heads, she didn't want to tackle it without everyone else doing so as well. Besides, if they ignored Chaos and the others, that would leave them open to attacks from them as well.

The Archer glanced around as she tried to catch her breath, trying to find the best means of attack or defense. Chaos was the biggest threat, she figured, but so many people were already concentrating on him that she didn't want to get in the way. She saw Silver, but he was being taken care of by Amy. Cloud she didn't feel confident she could do anything about. Anthony? ...you know what, that was probably a good idea.

"Oi!" Bobbi called at the top of her lungs, and fired a shot at Anthony to get his attention. She specifically aimed at his shoulder with the intent of Disabling him if she could. "Over here!" Next, Bobbi aimed at Anthony's leg with the intent of Crippling him, and she followed that up by cloaking her next arrow in a spell that, should it pierce Anthony anywhere on his body, would dangerously lower his body temperature to the point that his mana would have to be used just to keep him stable. She just hoped it worked.

Demyx yelped in pain at the combined attacks, and collapsed to his rump as he nursed his wounds. Tiny sparks of electricity tingled along his nerves for a moment after the lightning strike had hit.

"Ow, ow, ow," he complained, and stared around the battlefield, trying to figure out how best to end this situation as quickly as possible. It was far past the point where he could just try to sit out and ignore it, and there was no way to retreat, so the only course of action was to find a way to end the fight. Getting this done and over with was the best way to preserve himself, and let him get back to what he really needed to be doing--finding a way to restore his heart.

The most immediate threat he could see was Chaos, but Chaos wasn't the primary opponent here. It was that darkness floating above the field, laughing and shrieking in their heads and generally making a nuisance of itself. They had to find a way to beat that, he was sure of it. But they couldn't do that if Chaos was getting in the way. But now there were more things on the field, three of which looked like their friends, only... wrong.

With a groan born more of frustration than pain, Demyx got himself to his feet again, and began playing the melody on Arpeggio that would allow him to summon his Water Clones, one for each opponent on the field. He sent out five, one each for Chaos, Silver, Anthony, Cloud, and Louis. The clones were meant to be no more than distractions, simply taunting in their watery imitations of Demyx's voice, but if they saw an opportunity to hit something, they would hit something.

The slashes from the exploded ground mirror burned and pulsed, but Zell ignored the pain in favor of actually being useful. He zeroed in on Chaos, and ran to get within range as he'd been pushed back by the previous concussion of wind. With a shout, Zell leapt into the air and brought his clenched fists down in a powerful blow aimed directly for Chaos' head, before leaping back and rushing back in to deal a series of rapid punches anywhere he could reach. The water clone Demyx had sent joined him by flanking Chaos and leaping onto his back in an attempt to hold him in place as Zell continued to wallop Chaos for everything he was worth, now with a spinning kick to Chaos's face, followed by a string of punches and kicks wherever he could reach.

Yuffie was laying on her back after the mirror explosion when the charged bolt struck her, and she shrieked an epithet she'd heard one of the Earthlings use on more than one occasion. Leon would probably be disappointed that she was learning how to swear, but she didn't care, that hurt and she wasn't happy about it and calling everything that hurt her a ******** made her feel better so that was what she did.

The Great Ninja flipped herself onto her feet, and spotted Dani pinned down by an electrified net. She rushed over to the assassin, intending to free her, when the girl melted away. Yuffie stared in surprise for a moment before Dani reformed nearby, and rushed over to her.

"Are you okay?" she asked. She waited just long enough to make sure Dani was steady and hear her answer before she sped off. Her target was Captain Silver, as he was the nearest, and her speeds nearly broke the speed of light as she attacked him ten times in rapid succession. Each attack came from a different angle, even from above on one or two occasions, and ended with her slashing at his prosthetic leg as she skidded to a halt several feet away. She watched as the water clone that had targeted Silver followed up on her attacks by smashing Silver in the face with a liquid copy of Demyx's sitar.

Yuffie turned her attention to Cloud next, and enveloped her shuriken in magic to expand the blades. With that, she shot across the platform to the spiky-haired swordsman and slammed into him with her magic-enhanced weapon as hard as she could.

Nanaki felt the cut on his flank, and turned to bite at his attacker, but already he felt his body slow to a halt, and had only managed to catch a glimpse of Louis' face. But something was wrong, the boy's skin was the wrong color, and he was coated in thick, pulsing black veins. Nanaki barely had time to understand what he saw before the Stop spell affected him completely, and he was unable to move in any capacity. He could still think, but that didn't do him much good, especially when another round of allies was possessed by the dark thorns and unleashed a devastating combo of attacks. Though Stopped, Nanaki could still feel the pain as the mercurial mirror exploded from the ground, first the cutting of the glass shards, then the burning of the magic, and felt the powerful shock from the dark storm strike him. Fortunately, he was able to move again shortly after, and sent a message over the Charms to the entire group:

.:That was Louis! Something was wrong with him, his skin was an odd color... Rather like Captain Silver's at the moment. Watch yourselves!:.

Nanaki Howled, granting Bravery to Joe, Joseph, and John, before he joined the assault on Captain Silver. He leapt on the ashen-faced man after Yuffie and the water clone had finished their moves, and began rending with teeth and hind-claws. His fore-claws were lodged into Silver's shoulders, giving him purchase to tear at what flesh he could, though there was a horrendous, metallic screeching when claw and fang met cybernetics. When he leapt off of Silver, he did so while launching a ball of Firaga at the back of the pirate's head.

{James ; Auron ; Leon : Louis’ Heart : Station of Awakening}

James scanned the battlefield trying to figure out his next course of action. Before he could successfully decide though more pain… As Kyle unleashed a massive attack that exploded the mirrored surface of the field sending rending shards of glass slicing into them all followed up by a massive blast of energy that seared his flesh with corrosive darkness. Then came another round of lightning, and even though the corsair didn’t take direct hit from it, a bolt struck close enough that he felt sharp zap of electricity course through him. His muscles spasmed as the current shocked his system but he was able to prevent himself from collapsing.

”I think your network is back to normal again. You should be able to attack normally now,Fenrir stated.

‘Glad to hear it… I hope that doesn’t happen to me again anytime soon.’

The corsair removed from his card box the card he had created using Noelle’s seed. He had only been able to use it once, and it was short lived due to the negator he remembered that much. However, potentially stopping Chaos was worth the chance. He focused his restored magic into the card. Charging it with energy as much as he could before willing the glowing green energy into the hexagun. As he pulled the trigger, the shotgun pattern of seeds shot out and at Chaos, green energy binding them together into a widely spaced net. The gunner hoped that the avatar would be too distracted by Demyx’s water clone and everyone else to be able to avoid them. If the Brier Trap caught him the energy would turn into vines, which would quickly tighten and constrict Chaos, potentially Stopping him.

Auron’s katana dug into the ground to stop the momentum from Chaos’ push as he blew them away to create some distance. Then the field became like a mirror and erupted from a massive blast, cutting into the unsent samurai as he endured it. The follow up explosion was a bit more painful but still not unbearable. Lastly, lightning struck near the warrior monk and even though it didn’t hit him directly, electricity still caught him, coursing through his body. After the attacks the samurai was left still standing, though somewhat injured as he scanned the battlefield. There were now additional targets, which for the samurai was a good thing since his efforts against Chaos had done little to nothing and there were already enough people on the Scion.

With purpose the samurai charged towards his target, the gauntlet wielder, Anthony and after charging his blade with energy brought it down in another Full Break against the shadow form of the Earthling. He hoped that Demyx's Water Clone, which was attacking the young man with his sitar as best it could, would provide sufficient distraction for the attack to hit directly

Leon bared his teeth as Chaos’ burst of wind sent him back and was immediately followed up by Kyle’s powerful Ragnarok, shards of glass sliced and cut deep as they exploded from the surface and the massive explosion racked the gunblader’s body with pain, all that he could do was bare it as best he could and fight to stay vertical. The lightning struck the field again. However, this time it outright missed. Leon scanned the field and noticed Cloud had appeared, his skin grey, and covered in black veins. Clearly not in control of himself. The gunblader rushed toward his friend, not sure if he would be able to take him if the Buster wielder was empowered, but figured someone had to focus on him. As he charged towards his friend his gunblade cut into the ground, energy building up as he ran. When he was close enough he leaped high into the air catching Cloud in the blast of his Rough Divide and followed it up with a downward slash as he descended.

James
Charged: +2 to MS
Brier Trap: 14 MS Chance of Stop
Auron:
Full Break: -4 Penalty to PS, PR, MS, and MR if direct hit. If Blocked -2 to all.
Leon:

Normal Attack: 10 PS Damage

[Dawn : Louis' Heart : Station of Awakening]

Dawn closed her eyes as she felt the Amy's and Kyla's magic channeled through her dance. With her guard down, she was not expecting, or prepared, for when Riku was slammed into her. Dawn let out a started yelp as she went skidding on the ground with Riku on top of her. Dawn hadn't had a chance to try to move from under him when other attacks continued to assault the group.

After she got a few bearings back, Dawn slowly made a move to get free from under Riku (or he slid off of her), however, the thunder struck twice. One nearby while one hit her dead and center. Between the initial pain of the shock, and her own fear of thunder. Dawn, though she may of been trying to get up before, she was now shaking like a rattle snake's tail on the ground.

~'Be calm, I am here too, remember....'~

Dawn closed her eyes as she started to move, more out of borrowed power from Garuda then on her own power. She glanced over at Riku and touched his shoulder, to make sure he was okay. Then she turned her attention to her allies and friends, including Anthony, Cloud and Silver. She had to do something to stop them, without hurting them. She wanted to protect her friends.

While she felt the healing from Amy and Jenny, Dawn gathered wind around herself as she started to slowly dance again. With her movement she moved the wind around Amy, Jenny, Joseph and Riku. Granting them with Aero Shield. Meanwhile, she started her Slow Dance in attempt to slow down Anthony, Silver and Cloud. If it hit any of the other enemies, it would be an added bonus.

[ Now Fade Embers : Louis' Heart : Station of Awakening ]

Silver casually side-stepped Amy's Diaga Blast, lifting his cyborg arm to prepare his aim for another attack--only to have a certain ninja rush him from all angles. So instead, very shortly after she completed her initial assault--and before the water clone could strike--he unleashed a charged blast at the ground beneath him, destroying the clone...

... and blasting him sky-high, well out of the reach of Nanaki's coming assault. The mere attempt would have brought him within the shockwave's range, knocking him backward. Afterward, in midair, he looked around, found his target, and fired...

The lion was persistent, however, and the Firaga managed to strike Silver shortly after the blast unleashed. His body began spiraling with momentum, but observers would quickly note that gravity seemed to stop working... as his body unraveled into black, sickly dust that got pulled somewhere closer to the ground, vanishing.

The assault on Anthony was initially successful, but only just so; the Crippling Shot struck his left shoulder, causing it to go limp, but in the process he was alerted to his assailant. His right palm unleashed a sudden bolt of energy, causing him to blur off to the side faster than the eye could keep up with. By the time Bobbi was back on him, he had summoned a sickly blue blade of lightning energy, easily the side of a longsword and jutting out from his right gauntlet, and had blasted himself forward toward her, a terrifying spiral of electricity that destroyed the water clone, parried Auron's assault, and threatened to horizontally slash at her throat.

Yuffie's follow-up attack was blocked by Cloud's massive blade, though the blow sent him skidding backward across the rubble and close to the fiery edge. What she didn't see--though she may have sensed--was the blast of obsidian energy come crashing down from above and behind as Silver countered her assault, the negative energy unleashing a reverberating bass-hum as it exploded outward. The malevolence disrupted magic in anyone struck within the 5-meter radius.

The water clone that followed up against Cloud managed to assault him from the side, opening him up to Leon's attack--except, in attempting a follow-up downward strike, Leon opened himself to Cloud's counter. Sidestepping, Leon would feel the air grow heavy, holding him in place as Cloud swung downward with immense force, unleashing devastating explosions of energy in the form of a circle of black-orbs that sent anything nearby flying.

However, Cloud was immediately upon his knocked-back friend, rushing forth in a blur of black-and-indigo energy as he unleashed another powerful Sonic Blade.

The water-clone that was made for Louis seemed only to falter, unable to find its target, and quickly dissolve--though Demyx might have noticed it had done so because of a paper-thin slice that appeared from nowhere.

Meanwhile, shortly after Anthony's parry, Auron would find himself suddenly lifted off the ground by rapidly-manifesting dark fluid, rising from the concrete rubble like a geyser. It grew around him, encasing him in thick, opaque oil with the iridescence of a black pearl, and began to crush him with unfathomable pressure. He could not move--could not act--and his only salvation would be outside force.

Then, however--Slow kicked in.

Anthony and Cloud were both mid-dash as it happened, and though their rushes (powered by magic rather than speed) would not be slowed, the swing of their blades seemed heavier, sluggish even--there was the briefest second added that, should their targets be able to recover in time from the previous events, they might be able to dodge the assault.

Louis, however, was still absent.

[[ Silver used Dark Pulse [12 MAG], followed by a charged Tainting Maelstrom [14 MAG] on Yuffie that negates magic in its radius and has a chance to cause Silence to any caught within. Then he died.

Anthony had one arm Disabled before blurring to the side, then straight at Bobbi with Blade of Lightning that parries Auron and attacks. [12 MAG]

Cloud blocks Yuffie, gets hit, and then uses Explosion? on Leon [MAG 12], following up with Sonic Rave [14 STR] on the same!

Louis used nope on the Water Clone and Vicious Prison [14 MAG] on Auron! Can only be broken with outside force! ]]
