Shizuka's heartbeat raced at a mile a minute when she heard the gunshot, thinking that she was dead for sure. Her eyes opened slightly, surprised that her last breath wasn't the last she'd ever take. Using the opputunity of a slightly less tight grasp, sheelbowed Marco as hard as she could into his chest.

"Snake!" roared Luchist. "I'll purge this world of the sin that is your soul!" he lunged at Faust, who blocked the attack with his cleaver.
"Oof!" Marco said. "Jeanne-sama! Help us!"

Faust's back was against a tree as he tried to fight off Luchist. The priest was his height, but burlier, and the wood on his cleaver was breaking under the pressure of his oversoul. Faust couldn't do anything without bones. He dodged to the side as the wood snapped and almost impaled him.

"Lucifer! I summon thee!" Luchist cried, jamming his staff to Faust's throat and pinning him to the tree while his oversoul manifested to fight Netsubo and take the attack.

"You dare to challenge the newest servant of God?" Luchist sneered, looking at Netsubo.
