"Kysssslith...?" He questioned, slurring the s. "Cute." He added, before rolling over and pulling open the bag. He would peer into the thing to inspect its contents. Raising a brow, he would crawl to the nearby grass, and empty the bag there. Still on his hands and knees he would lean in close to inspect what was there. "Whassat?" He asked, one eye squinted shut and the other wide.

Kyslith turned to look back at the doormen. She cracked an awkward smile of appreciation. She tried to think of the words to thank them, but could not remember what to say. "You...helpt..me." was all she could manage.

She then turned her attention toward KB who had emptied the garbage onto the grass. Kyslith crawled over to where he was poised to examine her to-be food. As soon as she came within reach, Kyslith desperately grabbed at handfuls of soured fish bits and overripened fruit peels. She shovled them into her mouth, her vitality slowly returning as she ate.

Within a couple of minutes the garbage had dissapeared. Kyslith stared at KB. He sat teetering on the grass. He appeared dizzy to her. Kyslith was confused. "You...o-kay?" she asked him. She wiped off blood and grit and began to adjust her straps and buckles again as she scooted over to look him over.

"I think I draaaaaank a biiit!" He answered cheerily, before falling onto his butt and blinking. There in the grass he would twist the top off the bottle of rum and take a swig of the stuff. He winced immediately and choked a bit, coughing and swallowing. Without the coke, KB really didn't care for strong alcohol. "Ewww." He added, before poking the bottle.

"Why're you wearing so many belts?" He asked idly as he fiddled with the booze.

The Count would continue to wander about the guests, seeing Sairys dancing away with a young man, her son. There was Thanatos, and Mastema, Twilight, and KB. Tegral and his group along with two or three others seemed to be keeping with themselves, uninterested in The Count at all. There was a lone woman looking about though, dressed in black with white hair and blue eyes. It appeared she had no one to talk too, and hadn't touched her drink at all so far. The Count would begin to gingerly wander over to the woman, bowing his head slightly to her upon their meeting. "Meine Dame. How are you this fair evening? Well I hope."

Hmm? O--oh...! M-me?!

*Nana hadn't been facing the man when he wandered over and was caught, slightly surprised. Nana had said hello to Twilight, but the man never answered her in return, which needless to say made her feel a little sad. She hadn't thought anyone would approch her, though that was a silly thought really. Nana was beautiful and at the moment entirely alone, so she was easily targetted by the host, or so it seemed. It seemed hard to find people to talk to, so it was nice when someone decided to take a chance on her. Maybe after this, Nana would try saying hello to Twilight again, or perhaps Griffin and Bell*

I'm..... alright. Th-thank you. This is.... a lovely place, it really is.

"Be-lts?", Kyslith paused, that was an odd question for her. "They... are my...clo-thes.", "I'm not ...animal.", she added defensively." So I...wear...clo-thes.", while exlaiming this she pulled off a couple of them (exposing her midriff) and held them out to show KB. She cracked a goofy looking grin.

Kyslith looked at the bottle curiosly. What was in there that the man kept drinking? It didn't smell like water at all. Was that what was making him so dizzy?

Kyslith's mood changed to one of precaution. "Why you...ta-alk...to me?". She carressed an old scar that had been laid across her cheek from one of her closer encounters with man. She slowly reached for the small spade that hung from it's strap. He didn't seem threatening, but just in case...

"Mine are better." KB argued in return, showing off his expensive wear. Though it was somewhat dirty now, the golden-lined red of his military dress was still quite fanciful. Had he his sword, the image of numerous men in service would have been completed, bottle of rum and all. Of course KB's gaze trailed tot he exposed flesh before slipping back up to her charming face, his gaze like an eel. Among KB's gifts was his oddity in and of itself, something worked into his core.

He had to think about her question for a moment, before simply answering. "You're nifty." He told her, before falling onto his back and gazing up at the sky. His hand pointed up at a cross-shaped star, cocking like a gun. "Bang." He muttered before dropping his arm.

"Nif-ty?", Kyslith questioned. She didn't know the word. It didn't really matter though. To her, the man talked in many strange words. He seemed to like her, as far as she could tell. However, she knew near nothing of him. "Who are...you?, she asked. Then added, "Where...you from?". She looked up to the star KB had been pointing at. "Are...you from...Ba-ang?", She pointed up toward the sky as she let go of the spade she had been grasping.

OOC: (keep in mind she still doesn't know KB's name)

He blinked a few times in contrast. "Name's KB." He answered, before yawning and nodding. "Yep. I come from the sky... I'M A SKY PIRATE!" He exclaimed as he bolted upright, and got to his wobbly feet. The bottle of booze still in hand, he would begin his triumphant march towards the door, weaving to and fro. "Let's go plunder the buffet!" He invited as he stumbled towards the doorsmen. "I need a dress! Well... she needs a dress, but I need her to have a dress! Snap snap!" He ordered the pair, much less demanding and much more crazily.

It wasn't the pair from earlier in the evening, pity.

"Mmhmm, I quite agree. A new coat of paint, refurbished insides, a side table here and there. It becomes quite lovely." The Count was trying to lighten the woman's spirits a little, as she seemed to be tense. Then again she probably had reason to be. Almost everyone there had tried to kill one another at some point for sure. Just about then, the musical accompanyment changed, now the musicians were playing something that everyone could dance too if they wished it. In this reguard Sairys and her son were already ahead of everyone, enjoying the music and space to dance. Speaking of enjoyment, Baptistain and the others were chatting randomly with a few guests, Baptistain in particular had gone back to poke at Twilight whom he had met some time earlier, when Val had stopped by and caused a small scene. "Always nice to see a.... familiar type face. So, what do ya think of the place? Different."

Elsewhere the doorsmen looked at the ghoul, then back to KB. The man was inebriated clearly, and now he wanted to bring a woman who had been coughing up blood, into the party and without an invitation at that? Raid the buffet he says? But the ghoul couldn't eat that sort of thing. Just what was KB thinking? Or was he thinking clearly at all? Most likely not. "Um... I-- don't believe we have any sir."

"You want here to go in dressed like THAT?!" He countered, narrowing his eyes. His nose wrinkled,a clear sign that though he was fiercely arguing with all the wit at the disposal of his drunk brain, he was doing so for fun. He would continue to fight the point until they gave up simply threw him out, both of which would end quite amusingly.

Kyslith was confused by what was happening. She was mortifed by what she did understand, however. KB wanted to take her inside, among all those other people. She looked back and forth between KB and the doorman, their already seemed to be tension growing on her account. She got up cautiosly and moved quickly over to hide behind KB. She tugged on his coat, "Kaay-Bee...Do not...fight.", Kyslith had recovered some, but she doubted she had it in her to outrun anyone right now. She looked over KB's Shoulder at the doormen. "Soo-ry...", she whispered as she wiped at the dried blood smeared across her chest and leather straps. She didn't know what to do at this point, while she was intrigued by the kindness KB had shown her, she didn't know if it was a good idea to go in. Everyone in there looked so clean and proper. She wanted to trust KB, but trust had nearly gotten her killed in the past.

Mmn.

*That was about all Nana could muster, she really didn't know what to say otherwise. Small talk wasn't her fortee, it was something she needed to practice more, and one reason she didn't appear to go out often to speak with other residence of the Citadel. So it appeared her timid side was winning out again. Nana would briefly look back to Mastema and Twilight again, then she would finally find a few more words within herself to say*

I-- I think I'm going to go and sit down for a bit. I'm feeling a tad dizzy. Again-- this is a lovely party, and- thank you for the invitation.

*Nodding politely to the host, Nana would begin to wander towards a chair that she could see somewhere behind Mastema, Twilight, and Baptistain. It appeared Nana needed a few minutes to pull herself together. She may or may not have really become dizzy, it was hard to tell. Perhaps something to do with the lights, the temperature, the food or rather lack there of maybe. Either way Nana would find the chair and sit back, letting out a light sigh. There appeared to be a small side table beside the chair, and another chair adjacent that. Nana would place the small cup of punch on the table before sighing lightly again*

The new doormen did not know what to do with KB or the ghoul. The only dresses per see on the premises belonged to Haydée, and she was much taller than the ghoul, making her dresses a bad idea. Also the man was very much intoxicated, perhaps it would be better to sober him up, or call a ride for him to take him back to his home. Unfortunately these men did not know where that was. Luckily for Kyslith these men were not the type to give chase should something happen. There were merely there to look pretty, take coats and weapons, and announce arrivals. Inside the temple no doubt there were few who knew what was going on outside, with a drunk and a ghoul. The Count had let the woman in black take her leave, and was now in search of another ear, should one be had. There was a boy with blue hair, he appeared to be blind. Perhaps this youth would like a moment of The Count's time. If not there were others, like the lovely blonde lady and her son, a tall man in black and his counter-part who was speaking to Baptistain, the time lord and a few others lingering about. However for now, yes the boy would do. Approching the lad from the front, The Count would introduce himself, hoping the boy would realize he was being engaged into conversation. The Count would bow polietly to Thanatos. "Jeune monsieur, bonsoir. I trust you are having an enjoyable evening? I am The Count of Monte Cristo. How do you do?" With that it was now the youths turn to respond in kind.

Twi really wasn't sure what to do between different people coming up to him so close together. He'd been concentrated so intently on the Count for a moment that he'd forgotten he should be acting casual instead of like a watchdog. By the time he recalled himself, Nana was already talking to the count and he was being addressed by.... that one guy who nearly got ripped in half by the lugnut. "I'll grant that I was only ever here once or twice before, but the whole atmosphere's different. I still don't get why a place like this in the middle of nowhere was where your top gun chose to live."

Momentarily thinking of giving Twi a rather hard nudge in the back, Mastema simply ignores him, seeing as the man had his own company now, and moved around the table. Whether she saw him or not, Mastema placed his hand around Nana's shoulders, standing beside the chair. He attempted to reassure her a little with his hand stroking slowly back and forth on her opposite shoulder. "Are you all right, Nana? We can go outside if you wish." He wasn't quite sure 'which' little happening it was that was stressing Nana out so much.

"Hajimemashite. Yorokonde yoroshiku." The Count's greeting was returned in a foreign language as well. Than's dialect didn't give away whether it was sarcasm or habit. Despite being obviously blind, Than had enough sense to know where the Count was, turning look him almost straight in the face. Unfortunately, Haydee's rather exotic dress wouldn't tantalize Than in the least for obvious reasons. "It's not my habit to kick back and relax, so don't let my presence spoil anyone else's fun. As for my well being, being in a room where every last person is armed I think it's a good sign that I'm in one piece. So I'm content as can be for the moment." Again it was hard to tell if he was being sarcastic or if he was serious in saying everyone in the room was armed. "I'm Thanatos McCain Mastema...."

~_~
Khnn... heart || Just-- feeling a little dizzy... I'm not sure why. Hnn? No-- I think I'll be ok if I just sit for a minute or two.

*It was likely a mix of happenings, causing Nana to feel light headed and stressed out. She hadn't eaten a bite or had a sip of anything since she arrived, she had found out that a cyborg man had been trying to kill her and the children at the whim of another attende. The atmosphere was thick with tension reguardless of weapons being deactivated and stored. Some likely wanted Nana dead due to who her husband was, others simply because she was angelic. At least at the party these people would behave, but after that, they would all go right back to trying to kill one another, it was sad. Now more than ever, Nana was seeing the positive side to the constant tinkering of Mastema's plans to make the defences around the Citadel better. At times that meant doing unorthadox things, or making questionable choices, but that's what it would take to survive wasn't it? Once they were back home, Nana would have to look into the more recent history of why everyone in the region was fighting. There had to be a better reason than the fact that everyone was just there. All the while, Nana would take a few deep breaths, trying to clear her head. Perhaps it was even a reaction to someone in the room, much like Than's arm and the man that had changed form and had tormented souls about him, one couldn't be absolutely sure*
