*Selene plopped down on the floor of the common room on a big pillow with exhaustion, and saw that a lot of people were here* Well, it's nice to see that because school's over for now, we get to see some more faces. *She curled up in a ball and supported her head with another pillow and fell asleep after gesturing to the new set of muffins that she was making in the kitchen, which felt like a baked potato.*

Kitty giggled, "What feels like a baked potato, the pillow or the muffins? As yummy as those muffins look, the Muffin of the Day looks even better. 4laugh May I have one of those inste- Oh, is she asleep?" Kitty peered over at Selene. "Oh, Siobhan," Kitty turned to the other student, "any student can answer a question in the Dueling Club, just make sure you read the rules first. 3nodding House-elves could answer questions too, but since they can't get points I personally don't see the point."

Ann nodded her head, "Kitty is right, the Dueling Club is open to everyone who can answer the trivia questions. Just read the rules because you are not supposed to use the HP books or website sources. Strictly memory. As for the Dueling Game I'm planning (a real game played with dice)...I'm looking for prospective players to test it out with."
Ann sniffed the air to see Selene settling down with a platter of muffins, "MUFFINS!" She glomped Selene, "Bless you, Selene and your baking skills."

AHH! I'm Up!
Oh! Hi Anne, Hi Kitty! You are very welcome. And to answer your question Anne Kitty, the kitchen felt like a baked potato, when I was baking these muffins. Hehe. And to answer your second question, you may sample any of the muffins that are displayed, whether it was in my post, or if it was the muffin of the day. So, enjoy.

"Thanks, Selene," chirped Kitty as she took a Muffin of the Day and gave another one to her Yeti. "Technically, I was the one that asked those questions," Kitty grinned and took a bite from her muffin. She glanced at her Yeti, who had almost finished eating his muffin. "And they're certianly yummy as usual, O Muffin Queen!" Kitty glomped Selene.

Oh, and I was thinking of creating a guild or thread called "THE Mysterious Muffin" for my muffins. Kind of like a cafe/bakery/hangout place. What do you think? SO then, you can munch on any of my yummy muffins instead of waitng for me to bring new ones.

"Well, it is kinda fun waiting to see what yummy treat you're going to bring next time," said Kitty as her Yeti finished his muffin, licked his paws, and tottered over to the other tray of muffins. "If you made a guild, maybe you could do some kinda bakery thing, where people could swap recipes too," suggested Kitty as she Levitated one of the nut-covered muffins down to her Yeti. She giggled as the Yeti started on the muffin, "Looks like I'm going to have bring this guy next time you bring muffins, or atleast bring him a sample back." blaugh

"That's a great idea for a guild." Ann nodded at Selene, "Although, instead of an all muffin guild, you can have a Baking Guild where everyone shares their favorite dessert. Have a subforum for posting pictures of their creations, another subforum strictly for recipes, and another for discussions."

wahmbulance As Kitty commented, the fire in the Common Room started to flicker. It was already late at night and if the candles and fire were flickering out, the room would remain dark. Professor Clairion frantically whips out her wand and tries to make the fires from going out. She mutters a spell, but nothing stops the flickering until it goes out. Some Gryffindors screamed and Professor Clairion's eyes adjusted to the dark.
"Calm down everyone. Don't be alarmed," her insides started to squirm when she realized her magic was not working and it seemed that some of her students would soon find that out, "Let's just wait on the Headmaster's orders."
She quietly made her way to the portrait door and realized that it was locked. She cursed silently not to alarm anyone. The professor put on a smile and soothed the student's panicked muttering.
All the students tried to keep calm. An owl appeared out of nowhere baring news. (If you haven't already, please read the recent notice in the Entrance Hall/Announcement at the top of the subforum). wahmbulance
((RP to your heart's content, but remember you are without magic and everything that runs on magic has currently stopped working.))

Sarah looked up as the candles started to flicker. "What in the world?" Once they went out, Sarah felt around for her bookmark and placed it in her book, closing it. She then reached around for her napsack. She placed her book in and scooted it under her chair, so no one would trip on it during the panic. Sarah couldn't see anything while her eyes adjusted to the dark. "Professor? Where are you? I can't see a thing." Her eyes searched for the shape of her head of house but could not make it out from the other shapes of everyone else.

Hayden sighed as she plopped down on the floor. "I can't believe we are stuck here in the dorms. I guess I could read, but.... I would rather play a game. Let's play a game guys."

Fearless groped her way into the common room. She bumped her head twice. Fearless was very glad for the company of Ping, her eagle. "Hello, everybody. I was thinking that without the use of magic, can we use torchlight instead? I could send Ping back with a letter and ask my family to send some torches and also candles... not forgetting matchsticks. My dad should be able to pack this for us..."

"That would probably be a good idea, Fearless," agreed the Deputy Head. "Does anyone else have their owls with them?" Kitty asked. "If they're in the Owlery like my Rasey, well, the last thing we need is someone falling off those Owlery steps in the dark," Kitty shuddered at the thought. "What kind of game can we play in the dark, Hayden?" confused Kitty asked as she petted her nervous yeti, Snowball.

"Okay, I'll write back to my parents." Fearless took out some parchment and a quill and moved to the window where there is moonlight streaming in. "How much do we need? And should I ask my parents to bring more to pass to the other houses?"
