*Rotten cat flesh + baseball bat = SPLAT. Iden was free to carry on. The path wound slightly upwards, towards a larger chamber filled with beautiful ice crystals. Lit from the inside by an unkown source, multiple colours played across the walls in a dance of light, making the entire room seem like a light show.
Small creatures moved dilligently among the crystals, cleaning them and shining them so the glow continued unabated. They did not seem hostile, o big enough to cause a fuss, and seemed totally intent on their work*

*WHUMPH. And move on. Az's path seemed to be moving DOWN if anything, the floro become deceptively slippery, until it woudl be impossible to maintain balance. The low slope narrowed and compacted until you coudlnt stand up, only slide downwards on your butt, until it opened out into a wide pit that fell another story still.
Below, in the pit, two hungry, scrawny werewolves looked up and licke dtheir lips, waiting for Az to be impaled on the ice spikes that rose around them*

*Azrael was not pleased about having to continue in such a manner and he kept Isoda in hand, his eye darted around to take in everything that was around him. As he fell from the slope his eye picked up the werewolves and he fired at them, placing a few shots directly below him if needs be to ensure a clear landing*

*The wolves scattered, darting swiftly to either side, presumably their speed having been what had kept them alive down here, but Az WAS able to smash the ice pillars that woudl have pierced his body.
As he landed, both wolves would leap for him, maws foaming, eyes wild with hunger as they moved in on this fresh prey*

The effective squishing of the feliens was a good feeling. Iden was content with the effect, as it permitted him to continue onward unopposed.
Entry into the chamber of crystals bore little note to him. His eyes flickered about the moving figures above, lest they descend on him as the imps had. But as long as his progress was unhindered, he would proceed onward.

*Choosing one as a target Azrael flash stepped toward it, attempting to meet it's foaming mouth with his gautlet laden fist. Flowing some potence into the punch the chances are it would enter the mouth and tear right out the back of the head if not avoided. He kept his other fist clenched at his waist, ready with a follow up punch if needed.*

*The little creatures stared down at Iden. They had no ears, that was all that marked them apart from the humanoids in the chasm above. No ears, and tiny hammers at their sides.
As Iden passed beneath, one of them SHRIEKED. Its voice was shrill and caused the crystals to vibrate, chime. In turn, ALL of the little critters shrieked, filling the chasm with noise and ALSO struck the crystals they were working on.
Deep rumbles passed through the ground around Iden as the crystals all sang out in cacophony, the little cretaures ocntoinually striking the crystals so that the awful noise did not abate.
The noise would press in on all sides, enough to make EVERY orifice bleed and hsatte rthe ear drums, compressing and damaging just by pitch and volume alone*

*The second punch would be needed. The speedy wolf clamped its jaws shut over Azrael's hand, teeth scoring along the gauntlet as it stopped Az from doing more than weakening a few of its teeth, while its claws rent at his chest and stomach, trying to spill his entrails. If Az delivered a second blow to the side of the wolf's head, the wolf woudl let go and drop back.
In the meantime, the other wolf leap for Azrael's back, teeth open ready to bite into his neck*

*Azrael reacted quickly to the bite, attempting to sidestep the flurry he grabbed the creatures tongue and with his other hand launched a potence laden punch straight at the beasts stomach. His hope was to punch directly into its gut, then with a 'grip' on both the head and the gut he would throw the beast over his shoulder, into it's leaping companion.*

*the beast was fast and threw it arms around Azrael's body, holding itself t him, despite the paion it was in to allow its partner to smash into Azrael's back, jaws seeking a strong hold on the back of the cainite;s neck, while the first wolf fell backwards, so that his weight, and the impact form behind woudl pull Azrael to the floor, making it harder for him to act*

Somehow, the end result was unsurprising. Iden twitched, the blade held at the ready at the first sound. But there was nothing in reach. The sound was crushing his head, fouling his thoughts and pulverizing his senses. He started to shout, screaming a roar of pain and violent anger. The blade fell from his hand, even as he found his eyes blinded by the crimson that seeped from them.
Up. That was the key. The crystals were the cause. Of course, Iden didn't know this. He was just reacting violently to the pain. Both his weapons thundered, penetrating the resonance with a sudden violent blast of white noise. The grenade sailed skywards, to detonate amidst the creatures. The 15mm, however, went wild.

*Azrael laughed, he had allowed himself to underestimated the strength of the scrawny looking beasts, but they in turn had underestimated him. The beasts teeth would only just tear into his skin and would not even scratch bone, the small amount of knowledge he had gained with his experiments into his vicissitude had allowed him this much at least. Being trapped as the filling in a werewolf sandwhich he chuckled and simply allowed Kagu to flood his body with his flame, his whole body catching fire once more.*

*With the creatures down, though not all of them, Iden was treated to a rain of crystal shards, the larger ones in themselves CONTINUING to ring even as they hit the ground, causing he deafening cacophony to actually WORSEN before it got at least a TAD quieter.
But now, there was the added problem of some of the tiny creatures, weilding their hammers like clubs, coming to beat the living s**t out of him for hurting their family and friends. They may have been small, but the hammers were weilded with enough strength to break limbs as they charged impervious to the noise*

*the two wolves howled as they were consumed, the fire not abating even after their fur was gone, the wolf on the bottom practically liquidised by the temperature searing over him.
With them both dead, Az woudl be left in a deep, dark pit with no visible exit, the sides to slippery to climb, the ice itself malvolent enough to push out anything embedded in it.
Far below the floor on which he stood, visible through teh clear ice, a massive pool of freezing water await, if Az could get to it. What lurked beneath the surface was entirely unclear*

The shards ripped and tore his clothes, scratching and cutting his skin but causing only superficial damage. The effects of the noise was the main problem. Now, Iden was just blind. His senses failed utterly, his anger being the only thing that was burning brightly through the pain.
Nihilistics began to activate. Everything around him began to suffer the ill effects of it. Entropy seeped into everything around him, causing the crystals to fragment and break away. Creatures would find themselves losing their strength, as their bodies aged and broke down. Everything was splintering, breaking down into little more than decay and debris. The air itself was tinged with a crackling indigo aura, as the daemonic forces rang out in tune with the powers washing out from the young DeSeer. Anything that approached him would be nigh obliterated. Then he began to walk forwards. His senses had failed, but his form was unharmed. The blood that seeped from his eyes, ears and nose was being absorbed through his skin, subsumed utterly to fuel his refusal to let himself stop. The only thing on mind was Azrael, who was the only thing his mind could percieve. The ties of blood gave direction, regardless of what may rest in the way.

*Looking around and seeing no exit around or above him Azrael allowed himself time to rest, he pulled a blood pack from his coat and drank it down. He knew it was wise to bring provisions, he smiled at this thought and lit himself a cigerette, looking at the water below where he stood.*
hmmm, dunno if I like the look of that
*Sighing he plunged Isoda into the ground, and carved himself a hole, about six feet across. He stood back to finish his cigerette, waiting to see if anything from the waters below swam near enough to the hole for his eye to get a good look*

*yep, dead little critters left and right, like Papa smurf with beards.
And Iden mved on, blind, deaf etc, and thusly would fall STRAIGHT down the hole that await him as he moved towards Az. A hole that led into a large cavern filled by an ice water lake. Who knew what was beneath the surface?
