Mark looked up at Brutus, "what are you joking about? I'm always late for everything. Should be a given on the last few missions" he said crossing his arms looking at the rest of the group.

Listening to what Yulia and Brutus talking about their homestead reminded him of his home and his family. Both long gone and part of the background radiation that swept across the earth. Hearing Yulia say she was going to go to her quarters sounded like a good plan, "Yeah, I'm going to catch some sleep in my quarters. If you guys need me you know where to find me," he said heading into the base.

"Well, nice meeting you all. I'll be wandering around some where. Cya!" With that said, Delta opened the small door next to the Gate and walked into the base.

"Nicely spoken Zaid. I wasnt trying to say everyone was like that, only some. I dont have a huge problem with it, it just bothers me a hare is all."
Noticing that only he and Zaid remained, Brutus let out a sigh.
"I'm tellin yuh Zaid, people are so fast paced now-a-days. Everyone has to be doin something or be else-where. Nobody takes the time to think anymore. I'm scared by the fact that so few humans do it yet a Supermutant with memory issues takes all the time in the world."
Brutus paused and took a seat on the ground.
"I spose my life's a bit more simple though. All I have to do is live and kill. I dont have to worry about anything because it's given to me or taken care of for me simply because I cant do it. Cant read well, so things are either dictated or paraphrased for me, dont gotta worry about math or science or any of the 'why?' questions all humans ask..."
Another moment was taken to think
"Thats why I loved roaming the wastes, nothing mattered. I had a good friend and we had good times together. When things changed... well I was close to ending my own life. I had forgoten what it was like to live with others, humans especialy. My things do change. I wish I had the chance to worry about one thing though. I wish I could have the oppurtunity to love someone again."
Brutus closed his eyes and pictured the angel figure he had seen so many times in his dreams.
"I dont remember much about women. I know thier built diffrently and can be real moody sometimes... and sometimes a real thorn in the side... but I also remmeber the sensation of being one hundred percent, honest to goodness, sure as hell, you'd bet your soul, love. If I had anything worth something I'd sell it a million times over to feel that sensation again. But listen to me, what am I rambling about?"
Brutus laughed to himself and scratched his neck.
"This old mutant has seen better days and has lived his life. One day the gods will take me and I will help the great one ward off the evil ones. The only diffrence between me and all the others will be the banner I carry, the one seared and tatooed into my flesh: The Brotherhood of Steel."

"Heartwarming..."

The gruff voice of a human male in his early twenties rang out in the relative quiet of twilight, shattering the moment of peaceful serenity. A form followed the noise's appearance, as a man stepped out of the shadows. Most likely he entered the general area after Brutus' laugh.

The man's hair was ruffled and dyed a dark, navy blue color. He also had a week's worth of unshaven facial growth covering his face, similarly the same color. Tied around his forehead was a black bandanna with the symbol of the Brotherhood emblazoned on it. However, it also had an extra symbol in the background, a golden eye. The eye resembled that of a bird's, narrow and sharp.

His eyes were covered behind a pair of weathered shades of a tarnish tint. The same tint covered his torso leathers. The rest of his clothing was similarly desert/light underbrush themed. If this was daytime he would look partially camouflaged with the surrounding terrain, perhaps how he got so close undetected.

Brutus had met Azure earlier in the main bunker complex. It was most likely that he had heard about what Azure's job was and was probably not surprised about the fact that Azure could move stealthily. However, Brutus probably would question how a green initiate could move like a ghost. Even a Super Mutant of his training should have picked him up by scent or hearing... or something.

"Yes sir."

He replied.

"Thank you for not shooting me."

"It is what I was trained for."

The initiate replied as he moved closer, but didn't sit down. He walked on the inner-sides of his feet with little noise. His footfalls barely even left a footprint.

Brutus was starled by the voice that appeared behind him. A chill ran down his spine and it took him a few seconds to realise here was a body attached to the voice.
"HOLY CRAP! ......oh wait It's Azure.... damn man dont go doin that, i almost pissed myself!"
Brutus was a well trained and wise mutant even for his age, but he was stil partialy handcapped. The gods mut have had a sense of humor when he was dipped for he retained more intelligence hie recieving more strngth and endurance but lost most of his senses. He could still see and hear, but never as good as any human could. He ha developed a bit of a sixth sense that alerted him when something seemed out of place, but a person who was so good at sneaking like Azure easily fooled that sense as well. Calming down and his heart resting once again Brutus let out a sigh.
"It's nice to see you here Azure, please sit and talk."
