Layla watched in silence, bringing her body low to the ground once more and scooting close to the river's edge to watch. She watched, perfectly still, as the fish fell on shore, her eyes calculating and narrowed as she tried to retain the exact actions he'd done. The offer of the food was kind indeed, but she shook her head and tried to form words for explanation, her eyes once more on the river and the fish.

"Learn hunt," she knew this wasn't very clear but it was something. She moved further down the river some few feet, keeping her purple eyes on the water for a fish she could catch. She spotted one, it was decent sized, but more importantly it was slower than those around it. She dropped down to peer over the edge, and brought her clawed paw to the very edge. She prepared, thinking of how she'd do this and reminding herself to hit a little to the side. A slight movement and then a large splash revealed a small fish, that made it just on shore and was wiggling and attempting to move the half inch it would require to return to the river.

Layla put her paw on the fish's body and did something similar to Maji, but messier. She looked up, not happy and excited, but confused. This wasn't the fish she'd tried to get, it was tiny, she'd missed.

"No right fi-fish, Me missed, this wrong fish," as she spoke she made a coupld gestures here and there, pointing to herself and the fish and so on. She was somewhat happy she'd caught the right one, but she'd only done so out of luck if she'd missed so poorly to hit another fish.

The tiny lioness moved quickly to a rocky platform on the river's edge near where the bit of meat bobbed in the murky water. Now that Maji had helped her to such extents she was rather certain he was not dangerous. She smiled a slight bit at him and looked back at the row of fish, she was quite sure she wouldn't be able to catch a fraction of the fish the other the other cub had. As she was looking behind her she noticed Montsho lying in the clearing between the two trees, her body nearly fully in the open. The relaxed leopard was still quite alert, her ears perked and a deep gaze hovering between Maji and Layla. She seemed relaxed enough, perhaps even proud of this little one, but it wasn't something she'd inflate the cub's ego with, so she kept her stern and watchful gaze.

The dirt that floated through the water seemed to be settling at the bottom and a good few fish had continued to gather. Layla's attention returned to the task at hand, crouching close to the waters egde and moving a clawed paw just above the water. After a moment there was a slight splash but no fish landed upon the water's edge, so Layla prepared and dipped the paw furiously in once more seemingly unfazed. This time a decent sized fish flopped out and landed roughly on the unfamiliar grass. She continued, having a near fifty-fifty success rate. She ended with three fish, ranging in size significantly and a small smile of a satisfaction.

*wandering around in the forest surrounding the cataract he eyes at his surroundings. Finding that walking on the dry earth wasnt the best idea he loks around for something to perch on. Finding A dead rotting tree in the distance he wanders towards it. The earth crevacing into his paws and giveing the black shade of his fur a dusty look. Crouching low and pounceing onto the tree he feels around to see if its stable for him. Not doing a really good job he automatically assumes that it is stable. Clawing a little higher he sits at its breaches. The tree looks as if it got knocked down cause its roots where too shallow.. he thought to himself. Decideing to explore further he places one paw infront of the other. Finding at one second he's walking normally the next he finds himself tumbling into the tree. Not opening his eyes he finds out that the tree was decomposed from the inside out. Wildlife roamed free in their.. no.. not wildlife... insect life... Feeding off of the decomposed tree as it recycles back into the ones dry earth. Knowing that one day it will produce more tree's just as grand. Pulling himself out of the tree he finds himself peering over its edge. Seeing if anything was around that might cause a threat.*

Msuko hopped down from the branch she'd grown to think of as her's, only a few over and up from the goshawk's, peering down at the waterfall below. It looked refreshing, no doubt, but a dirt bath sounded much nicer. Those little itchy bugs had been irritating her lately anyways. She gave a sharp kree as one of them bit her, and she nibbled at her wing delicately. Definitely time for a dirt bath.

She glided down to the shore, burying herself in a flurry of dust from all the dirt she was kicking up easily. As the dust settled, she peered about for a cub to bother. If there were none, a long dirt bath was always lovely.

Urari rasied himself from the ground slowly and decided it was time for him to get up. There was no need to be depressed and he had no time for that. He staggered a few feet but managed to stay on his feet. He rounded around to the waterfall to get a drink. He was extremely thirsty. On his way there, he noticed a small bird in the branches hoping about. He took a closer look and noticed it was Msuko, the bird that had seen his last "episode". He ducked into the bushes, too bashful to come face to face with the tiny bird. But, he was so thirsty. He couldn't stand to sit in the bushed with the waterfall just a few feet away. He crept up, heading towards the waterfall hoping Msuko would not see him.

Urari, of course, wasn't that lucky. Msuko might not be the brightest of the bunch, but she had sharp eyes. And it wasn't too hard to see the black and white pup in among the green leaves and brightly colored flowers.

"KREE! You, hey you! Hairball!" She squacked after the pup, distracted from her dust bath. It was that two-toned pup again! Hopefully he was in a nice mood. Fluttering over to land on his rump, she preened a feather and peered down at him.

"Kree, where did you think you were going without me?" Msuko promptly went back to preening, waiting for Urari to go wherever he was going. It had to be more interesting than dirt bathing, that was for sure.

He looked down to the ground for a second, trying to come up with a convincing story. When that had failed him, he looked up and said, "Just over to the waterfall, I'm dying of thirst". He decided to leave the part about avoiding the bird. Urari might be embaressed in front of the bird, but he could not deny that he liked the company. No one else seemed to talk to him.

"Soo..uh, what has been going on, I haven't been out much?" His lame attempt at conversation. He always lacked in that area. He continued to walk to the waterfall, looking back to see if the bird was following.

Msuko squacked, hopping after him and then landing on top of his head, nestled just between his ears. Maybe from here she wouldn't fall off. She figured he'd probably been trying to avoid her, but no one could avoid the loud little bright bird for long.

"Kree, besides a few more stupid hairballs trying to eat me, not much." She kree'd softly, almost concernedly. "I haven't seen the cub--err, furballs around lately, I wonder where they are?"

The little bird actually sounded concerned! She fluffed up her wings, huffing. "I mean, so I can bother them some more."

Urari laughed. "Such a pest..", he said rolling his eyes playfully. "Well, to be honest..I haven't seen anyone around lately because I've had...other things on my mind". He looked to the bird as if she would know and nodded. "But, anyways..that's not the point", he said leaning down to get a drink of water. The cool, refreshing wetness hit his tongue and ran down his throat. He didn't know if he's be able to stop. Realizing he's taken his fill, he lifted from the water and turned around towards Msuko. "Who tired to eat you this time..?", he asked. He was still guilty about trying to eat the bird, no matter how much of a pest she was.
((Is Msuko a boy or a girl? Just clarifying ^^))

Msuko nodded with a soft kree, at knowing what he was talking about. Of course. That mean spirited pup living in his head. As he leaned down to take a drink, she squacked, flopping right off his head into the water. Splashing around and creating a general chaotic mess, she kree'd loudly and finally managed to paw her way back up onto the shore.

"Kree, trying to kill me again?" Msuko laughed, in her own little bird way, more of a ke ke ke. "Oh, just some cub named Ciyari who swears she's a princess and some other dope of a cub following her around. They almost got me, but I escaped." The little bird nodded proudly, looking quite laughable, soaked to the bone with her feathers plastered to her tiny body.

He laughed, "Sorry about that, I thought you needed a bath. I could smell you from here!" He was having fun joking around with her. I wonder what all of the other cubs would think about him befriending a bird. It didn't really matter to him much, it's not like they cared to get to know him.

"I still don't understand why anyone would want to eat you...you're not much of a meal", he said winking at her. "Where would you like to go?", he asked, "I'm wide open, no plans".

*Peering out and noticeing no threat the lone leopard cub looks to see where he was. Being so deep into the forest he never realized where he was. He decided to stay in this general area, not wanting to disturb the life within the tree he leaps out of the hole and circles around the tree. Seeing paw prints in the ground infron of him he sniffs at them. Not quite tooo sure who's they are... but that they do leade from where he was comming from.... so instead he follows the tracks back heading towards the direction the prints came from*

A particularly small lion cub was also wandering through the thick brush, the pads on his feet thumping against the soft ground. He looked around with his light gray eyes, as if looking for some prey to hunt. "So...hungry.." He cried in a hushed tone, now sounding highly desperate. Noticing a small rustle in the plants a distance ahead, he suddenly broke into a sprint, his black and white coat rippling in the gentle wind. "FOOD!" He cried happily, finding himself face to face with the leopard cub. "Wait a second.." He said in an dissapointed tone, his gaze directed towards the cub. "You aren't food.."
