>>Head curled up against his chest, eyes closed in slumber, the golden haired woman slept as deeply as she ever did when Zell was around. She never understood how her nights were always so restful when she fell to sleep in his arms, but then again, she didn't understand a lot of things about herself when it came to Zell. One leg was hooked around the fist fighters, her arms loosely around him still even as the others tightened. Distantly, so very distantly, her subconcious began to wake first, registering that she had overslept her eternal clock but not really caring. Rested, but still sleepy. She could go another hour before waking, what was another hour? Mmm...but the maids would be up soon, and her father would be so mad...The female shifted slightly, nuzzling the males chest as she might a pillow. But she didn't want to get up...she knew like always it would be cold the instant she slipped from her covers. And she prefered warm covers to angry merchants any day. Wait, what day was it? Did she have- Maryline's eyelids flickered as she tried to will them open. No...of course she didn't have ballroom lessons, she...she...The princess slowly brought her head up, brilliant blue eyes opening. She blinked to adjust her eyes to the near blackness of the room. She...was not alone. One...two...three...A warm smile teased her lips as she pressed herself closer to him, burying her face into his neck<< Zell...

Zell's eyes had more time to adjust to the room's darkness and he smiled more to catch the slight curve of her lips before he couldn't see it at all as her face disappeared into his neck. A quick drawing in of his breath slowly exhaled as he wrapped himself around her and kissed the top of her golden hair. There was a sound of soft, warm laughter -pure happiness- that slightly shook his chest as Zell held Maryline close. "Good morning, Maryline." The SeeD whispered tenderly -the voice one of someone completely happy & in love. "Sleep well?"

mmm... >>She sounded softly, a vauge attempt at a 'morning'. Then again, surprisingly or not, the princess was never a morning person. It always took a little bit to rouse herself fully awake. She managed a nod at his question into the males neck, eyes slipping shut again. Contently she inhaled deeply before letting out the breath, her arms tightening breifly around him. Arigon, it felt like she was in the comforting embrace of Arigon Himself, heavily drugged just by the fistfighters presence. Why did she feel so good this morning? Why was she so inexplicably happy right then? She was always as content as a fed feline upon waking to find Zell still in bed -she hated when she woke to find it empty when he trained- but...it was...different now. She just couldn't put her finger on it<< And you? >>At last came the whispered response, muffled and sleepy into his neck. Her stomach gnawed at her, angry at being refused last night and taking it out in the morning. Soon she'd have to drag herself out of bed and get dressed before having a nice break-...Dressed. Dressed...She shifted her body slowly, thoughtfully. She didn't feel any fabric. What was she wear-It hit her like a ton of bricks<< eek >>Oh Arigon, she was a bad, bad girl<<

Zell seriously didn't think he could ever feel happier, smiling as his golden goddess snuggled alongside him as she slowly woke. If course, Zell hadn't thought he could be happier than just loving her and having her love in return. Last night had upped that. Exponentially. Now waking with with her beside him, their bodies still entwined... Zell just knew Maryline had a way of raising the bar on his happiness scale. Bliss was too mild a word.

"Never slept better." Affectionately he nuzzled her head with his cheek, eyes closing as he breathed in her scent. The hand in her hair drawing to her back to stroke both together. Up the smooth skin to her shoulders and neck. Down so that the palm of his hand was in the small of her back, fingers starting up the smooth curve below with hardly a thought. Zell could not see Maryline's expression of realization. Sighing happily Zell cuddled close to her, one hand still lovingly stroking her back and hair. "Love you, 'Line. Ya know that right?" Another soft chuckle. "Not that anything'd keep me from tellin' ya so again. And again..." He continued to repeat the last word, lightly kissing her golden curls with each 'again' as his whisper faded into nothingness.

>>What had she done...what had she done...What was was she thinking, she knew exactly what she had done. She seduced the man she loved on the thought that she was ready! Well, she was ready. Phycologicly, physically, she was ready to handle this...with him...But Arigon, the reprecussions...the reprecussions...She lifted her head as the soft kisses fell into her hair, brilliant eyes opening again<< I know... >>They couldn't have a child, they couldn't even get married. She should have waited. She was too hasty, fueled by high emotions from almost losing him, to refusing mujaki for him, everything for him...She was ashamed off the still blissful content her body was in, completely detatched from her running mind. It didn't see anything wrong of what they did. She had been weak, so fragile. So frightened of rejection even as she reached for more<< Zell... >>Her eyes closed again as she swallowed, overcome by a sense of loss. Too late. She had realized too late<< Do you think...it was...right? >>her hands slipped from around him to move up his chest, lightly resting just below the collarbone<< Do you think...we were ready? >>She forced her eyes open once more, searching the darkness for his own<< Will everything be alright?

Zell could feel himself smiling into her hair at her soft words, oblivious to the thoughts in her mind. As she lifted her head Zell kissd her forehead, a sound much like a purr coming from him. Happy. Sated. Holding the girl he loved in his arms. Yeah... good stuff.

His eyes opened at the way Maryline spoke his name, a hint of worry in the hazel-blues. Something was wrong? The happy sound he had been making stilled as he felt her swallow. His hand stilled upon her bare back, a lock of her hair beneath the palm. At her question Zell felt his heart ache in his chest, a feeling that echoed in his eyes. Something large and uncomfortable lodged in his throat, not permitting him to answer as his eyes reached for hers and held them. Sorrow, hurt, pain... those were there in his eyes in the dark room. Love too, always love, but the SeeD was clearly pained by his love's questions. "'Line...""

The tenor voice broke with agony. Was she regretting? Dammit! He should have done the right and honorable thing and refused to let it go that far. Tucked her into bed and left, if he couldn't control himself. His arms tightened almost painfully around her. "'Line... Hyne, 'Line. It's a little late to be thinking about that now isn't it?" Hyne... he was close to tears. Zell didn't want her to regret, didn't want to regret. Now... he wasn't so sure. He was ready to go on from there. What good did it do second guessing things that couldn't be changed? Zell had not thought... she might. The arm beneath her curled around her waist, hand resting on her hip. The other hand left her back to lightly touch her face for the first time this day. "As for all right... 'Line... we're together. 'Course everything will be all right. You n' me, golden gal. We can make it all right." But it was difficult being confident & reassuring when inside it felt like his heart was breaking. Was Maryline wishing they hadn't? Did she want to take it back? He trembled... wanting to pull her to him and cry into her hair but instead keeping their gaze which seemed far too intense for so soon after waking after their first night of making love. Hyne, he loved her. Zell wanted her happiness, however he could grant it to her. To have her unhappy... to fear she was regretting their joining... It was almost too much to bear.

"Do you..." His voice was breaking to match his heart. "Are you saying you wish we hadn't?"

>>Little late to be thinking about it...hence the feeling of loss. Her body had won in the end. Her heart tightened painfully as so close, she could feel him tremble...see the hurt in his eyes...hear the pain in his voice. She couldn't stand it. The female gently pushed against his chest to pull her body away from his before sitting up, a hand already shifting to take hold of the silken sheets and bring them up to cover her own chest<< Arigon Zell...do not ask me what I am asking myself. This is a complicated issue which I am having difficulty thinking through so early in the day. >>her free hand reached up to gently touch her forehead, eyes closing again to block the sight infront of her. Arigon, she was hurting him again! If she was a stronger woman, she would end this relationship. Now. One could say it was too late after last night, but hurting zell now or then would still be hurting him. If she was stronger...If she thought for a second she could continue to live after losing him...She was so selfish<< The thing itself I do not regret. One could spend eternity with another, and never obtain the binding making love would. >>Her head tilted down, hand slipping from her forehead to her other upper arm<< A closeness only gained from the act. A closeness I yearned to have with you. I do not regret the meaning of our actions... >>It was entirely too early for this. Her mind was not up to the challange of walking on eggshells<< I regret the situation. I am shamed at the possibility of taking advantage of you...There is blush to my name since we are not wed...And I fear the thought of child because I am well aware of just how strong animal intenstines are. >>She slowly exhaled, forcing herself calm once more. When had she start trembling? Her hand tightened on her arm to get on a grip on that as well<< I am terrified of losing all I have gained simply because of one night.

She was pulling away...

In a smooth motion Zell was sitting up beside her, strong arms encircling her and pulling Maryline back to him. Too much to think this early in the morning when his head was still lost in the aftereffects of the best night's sleep ever & of loving her. He half pulled her onto his lap as he buried his head in tangled golden falls. Her words were registering. Deeply. "Then let's not think about it, Line. Let's clean up... dress... get something to eat. But..." He curved his hands to lightly caress her shoulders. "I won't letcha lose anything ya don't want to and as for wed..." Zell sucked in his breath sharply. He'd not had a chance to talk to her about the notion Mujaki had given him. "... if that's what ya want maybe I can see about what it takes to become a prince." His voice slowly faded as he spoke, uncertain how Maryline would take that and almost held his breath. Almost. Hell, it was pretty damn close to being a proposal -it was at least intention he would, were their situation possible for it. Very softly Zell laughed. "We can sort it all out when we're awake though, kay Love?" Very lightly, very tenderly he kissed Maryline's cheek.

>>Her eyes snapped open again as she felt his arms move around her, lips parting in surprise. A slow exhale, eyes unfocused as they looked over his shoulder, listening, thinking. She relinquished her hold on her arm, on the blanket, to embrace the young fist fighter back. A prince...She shifted her body to completly sit in his lap, curling her legs up beside them, and breifly tightened her arms around him in a hug. Her head dropped to his shoulders and she allowed the faintest of smiles on her lips. A prince...an impossible notion...but a beautiful thought, that he would want to be one<< Zell... >>She softly kissed the top of his collarbone<< ...if I said that I love you once every hour for every day until the hour Arigon takes me...It still would be inadaquet for gauging how much I actually do. >>She whispered against his skin, slowly allowing her eyes to close again. Everything would be alright...He told her so...and she trusted him more then anything. They would sort this out because...because...<< I love you Zell...I love you. >>she loved him<<

The SeeD shivered slightly as she spoke his name, her lips upon his collarbone eliciting more than a shiver from him as he felt his eyes roll back slightly in his head. "'Li-ine...."Yeah.. totally unfair. No wonder Maryline said so whenever he caught her spots. In as much as that... her words moved him beyond what even her touch did. Warmed him. Filled him. Made everything right again. Zell held her in his lap, head resting lightly on her hair. He relaxed even as he held Maryline close, murmuring her name tenderly in a litany of love. Hyne... he sure fell into a doozy of a predicament when he fell in love. Threw them both in. The situation... yes Zell wished it could be different. Made it hard to give Maryline whatever he could for the happiness she deserved. But anything worth getting was worth working for and so he'd work at finding a way to be a prince. Hell... that might've been what Relm was hinting at the other day...

Not that he was thinking far beyond their love and holding Maryline at that particular moment. Simply loving her... loving her near him. Finding no awkwardness in their current state of undress as if this was the most natural thing. Perhaps with Maryline or perhaps after last night it was. Zell knew they could make it through everything... his special kind of spun glass princess was so strong... so absolutely amazing...

Content. Happy. Until His stomach turned inwardly reminding him he hadn't eaten in far too long. Which reminded him Maryline had not eaten too. Dammit. They'd have to break their cuddle. Soft warm lips found her hairline near her temple and lingered almost like a kiss but somehow more. Long moments Zell gave it, eyes closed, chest rising in & out. With a soft sigh he nuzzled her while speaking again. "We need to clean up... get you something to eat. Get us something to eat. I never asked which you had -bath or shower- but may I carry ya there?"

>>Her faint smile increased slightly at his whispered stutter, pay back being so sweet, before she relaxed completely. He was too sweet...entirely too sweet. It wasn't awkard in the slightest, the black silk sheets pooled around their waists after she had dropped her hold of it to her chest. He was right...It was too late to be worrying over last night...What would happen, would happen as what had happened, had happened. And there was nothing that they could do about it. With this realization, that old happy feeling from when she first awoke, came crashing back like a tidal wave. Her hands slipped from around him and up his chest to wrap around his neck as his lips found her hairline, her smile broadening. She almost fell asleep again. When he pulled her out of her drowsiness, from the darkness of the scented passion mixed vanilla of the room when he spoke. Slowly she pulled her head from his shoulder, eyes flicking open at his words<< Carry me? >>The words almost choked her with surprise, slender eyebrows raising<< With breakfast...certainly...not. >>Thats if they left to eat. Personally...she would have little quarrel for staying in the room with zell. Her face turned red all the way to the hairline he had kissed<< For the bath however...certainly...though I do not know how successful you shall be in prying me off once we get to the bathroom.

He laughed, warm and deep, before kissing her. Arms slipping around her slender and beloved body like caresses as Zell shifted her into a carrying position as he swung his legs to the side of the bed letting the sheets fall behind them. "Good thing then it's a bath... won't have to." His wink was entirely too playful as Zell stood to his feet, one arm underside her knees while the other was behind her back. Both holding Maryline close to his chest. So he hadn't got her in a hottub... didn't seem like a big loss now. Bath. Maryline. Holding onto each other as they cleaned... running shampoo through her golden hair...

o_o dammit.... his reaction was going to make urinating difficult... Zell laughed as he carried Maryline to her bathroom door. He suspected he probably wouldn't have to pry her off of him for that... but he wasn't about to tease her on it. "Not to breakfast unless we ask Peter if he'd be willing to send us a tray in here..." The SeeD teased instead, eyes crinkling until his tattoo wrinkled & eyebrows wiggling.

>>She softly returned the kiss before her jaw dropped. He...he was serious? Her grip around his neck tightened as she was lifted into the air, eyes widening. Arigon, was he serious about bathing too?! Not like it would be a bad thing...concidering they had done a lot worse not too long ago. Just had to hope that it then didn't turn full circle and have them...Curse her soul, he actually had her thinking about it! She turned her head and subtly coughed before pulling a hand from him and reaching down. Her fingers brushed down on the doornob, turning it just enough to have the bathroom door open<< True enough...though the rest of the house would think the bed swallowed us whole, or we were both horribly sick.
PostPosted: Sat Jan 05, 2008 9:19 pm

And why wouldn't he be serious about that? He still had very little -if any- desire to let her go. Far from it. Hazel-blue eyes danced as she opened the door a little and -being mindful of her body & how he was carrying her- Zell nudged it open the rest of the way and started inside. "The rest of the house? Aw, c'mon 'Line. I highly doubt everyone's keepin' that close of tabs on us. But we can think 'bout that while we soak & clean up."

Hazel-blue eyes blinked as Zell looked about the room and he let out a low whistle. "Hotdamn. Shoulda known your bath would be spiffy, woman-princess... but I've never seen one so swank before." Actually... Zell was more experienced with simple when it came to that. He glanced around the room, looking for the toilet. Not visible at first glance. O_o Oh wait... wall... with a little door... Yeah. That had to be it. Huh. Kinda cool not having to see it from the bath. With a kiss Zell set Maryline on her feet by the little door. "You first. I'll start the water, 'kay?" And maybe that would give him some time to calm down so he could easier himself.

Close enough to notice only a quarter of breakfast is gone instead of half. >>The female spoke with a half smile, arching her back against the hand there to stretch out and flick on the lights before he walked away. She could tease right back!<< Spiffy? >>She settled back, arm returning around him as she looked around<< is...'spiffy' a good thing? >>17th century princess...She looked back up at him as they started towards the little closed in toilet...and instantly held back a laugh. What had she done to the poor mans hair? A hand twitched, wanting to comb through it while she still had the chance with it not gelled. Too late, feeling him shift her around and slowly lower her. Her feet delicately touched the cold ground, her hands shifting down his arms with her to keep her steady until she could support the weight<< Are you certain? I can...can... >>lights on...The first real good look of her entire body, without a single stitch on her to hide behind. She deeply blushed again, reached behind her to push open the door, and promptly stepped inside. She'd go first<<
