Oooh, Hotari purred, nodding slowly. I don't think I would be very happy if someone stole my books while I was trying to read, either! Does she still do that kind of thing? The girl frowned softly and tilted her head as she offered out a hand for Jordi to take so she could lead him into the bright lights and chiming noises of the arcade games.

Candycane Scartissue Typically games get more challenging as you keep going, that's why they come out faster, but you did really good! Tsukasu said happily, collecting the tickets that the machine gave out.

These are tickets, Tsukasu started. They act as money. With them, you can buy things over there, he said, pointing to the counter. On it, in the cases, and on the wall behind it, it was completely stocked with prizes. Each thing takes a certain amount of tickets. To get any of the really cool ones, you have to get a lot of these, so you have to play a lot of games, he laughed. Hide-n-Seek is a fun game! he added. I used to play it with my father and a couple of uncles. My sister was never interested.

Hotari guided him through the arcade, her fingers laced loosely through Jordiar's so as to not lose him in a rush of lights and noise. She giggled and watched him, blushing faintly though it was hidden in the dim lighting of the area. You read to your mom? That's so cute, Jordi! She giggled and pulled the silverhaired boy close to kiss his cheek, her blush deepening to a barely noticable point before they made it to the token machine. She fed in a few dollars and offered the tokens from it to the boy before repeating the process for herself, tucking her tokens into her skirt pockets, which were artfully hidden under panels of fabric in her tattered skirts.

Leilani looked closer at the tickets then looked over to the prize area. "Oh, I see. You're just trading these tickets in for other things. Can we go look at what we can buy with these tickets?" She then smiled and nodded, remembering back to her sea days. "I played lots with my family. My brother was always so sneaky because he'd win all the time."
((Her brother will be the blonde merguy. ninja I just have a new for him yet. >->))

Of course, Tsukasu laughed, leading the girl over to the counter. He smiled at the stuffed animals and the costume jewelry they had for trade. He looked to Leilani and tilted his head. You have a brother? That's cool, he said. What's he like? he asked, smiling.
((Wah! That's awesome. <33 Tsukasu's sister is the blonde pirate. XD I can't wait for the merboys!))

"My mother couldn't read, but she loved stories..." Jordiar said, blushing and shyly taking the tokens. "I used to take things from my uncle's library...Oh, he wasn't a real uncle, but he lived in the woods that my father's river ran through, so he was a kind of uncle. He had a library. It was very nice there....I could see the ocean from it. I couldn't go swimming often though when I was little. The salt always kinda made me itchy...Ah, I'm sorry, I rambled." He ducked slightly, blushing.

((Wow, I can't type sometimes. I meant I didn't have a name for him yet. xd ;; He'll be really protective of Lei so I hope he doesn't scare Tsukasu off. D: ))
Leilani's eyes sparkled happily when looking over the prizes. The stuffed animals were utterly adorable and the jewelry was pretty. "I love it all!" She then looked back to him and nodded. "I do. He's older than me. He's a nice guy, friendly and playful but really really protective. He always tries to scare off all the guys from me and our female cousins."

Tsukasu blushed softly, his hand in hers tightening a bit more as he heard this. I hope he doesn't disapprove of... us... too much, I mean, not that anything's... err, official or anything, he stammered out before biting his lip. He cleared his throat and looked to her. Do you want something?

Hotari listened to Jordiar, not seeming to mind too much that he was 'rambling'. She giggled and shook her head, shifting closer to the boy to pull him into another gentle hug. That's so sweet, Jordi! Like, really. About reading to your mom, that is. She nodded and shifted to gently let go of him, and tucked her hair behind her ears before leaning to kiss his cheek, smiling brightly when she pulled away. Do you swim now, or does salt still bother your skin? She was glad that the boy was so easily sidetracked, as she knew well enough she had that same tendency.

Jordiar blushed. "N-not so much anymore. It was just because I was little. But then one day, I went swiming with Janei and her mom, and the water didn't hurt....I remember...swimming with my dad. Where the river met the ocean." Jordiar trailed off, thinking about the memory.
