Lacuna smiled and nodded looking at the remaining people at the table. She sighed and drank her coffee. She had hoped that Mikey and Ophelia hadn't of left because of her. She smiled at Akki.
"So.. who's this guy I've seem to see you with here lately?", she said a bit curiously.

Jak''s eyes narrowed. "ok, little one, spill it. I seem to recall you leaving with someone. I want to know who, and I want to know now."
Akki blushed, her eyes sparkling. "You''d like him Jak, really you would. He goes to the magic school, and he turned a book into a kitty for me, and he..."
Her blush deepened as she remembered dancing with him, and his hand holding hers.

Seeing the look on Jak''s face, Akki quickly spoke up. "His name is Lawrence...he''s really sweet...he just walked me home....he said I was beautiful!!" A dazed look on her face, she turned to Lacuna. "He did, didnt he? I didnt imagine it?"

Lacuna nodded happily.. "Yes.. yes he did, He's a sweetie", she said to Jakkin hopefully adding reassurance. She sipped her coffee in thought about Jakkin.

Jak watched the animation in Akki's face thoughtfully. He hadnt seen her this happy in a long time, and he meant to see she stayed that way. "I'll need to meet him, and soon."
Akki nodded eagerly. "I want you to meet him too, and Po, and Canti...and you too Lacuna...I mean really meet him."
Jak turned to Lacuna, his eyes serious. "I missed our dance the other night..."

Akki chewed her lip thoughtfully. "Do you think it would be ok if I invited him over for dinner? I should ask Ric and Birdy though...maybe Jescobe could come too...I'm gonna go ask Ric now..."
Akki jumped up, hugging both Lacuna and Jak before rushing out the door

Lacuna sighed wved to Akki. She looked back into Jakkin's deep green eyes.. She nodded, "I'm.. Sorry.. just I like you.." her voice trailed off as she mumbled and sipped her coffee again trying to change the subject.

Jak leaned forward. Brushing her hair from her face, he smiled before kissing her lightly on the cheek.

Lacuna held her cheek where he had kissed her and smirked a little. She kissed Jakkin back on the cheek and looked down at her coffee.

Do you need a refill beautiful? I'll get you that coffee cake now." Rising, he moved quickly to the counter, getting their cups refilled and two pieces of cake.

Jak returned to the table with their refills and cake. Putting them down on the table, he pulled her up, holding her lightly in his arms. "Now there cutie, how bout a hug?" he gazed into her eyes, a thoughtful expression on his face.
