Heh, Tau are forgiving to the player who knows how to use their weapons to the best effect. Get close and personal, and get rapid fire range.
Oh, and who said broadsides are good in CC? You know...they can't move and shoot, so it is an utter waste to engage them in CC. If that is what your doing as a Tau player, then no wonder they are unforgiving.
Remember: an army is only as good as the player.

Perhaps he is if he failed to eliminate the Furioso. And perhaps you should not suggest too much concerning tactics as an army such as Blood Angels need little. What kind of table did you play on? Heavy scenery? Narrow? This matters.
Remember: an army is only as good as the player.

o.o I'm sorry, my previous statement sounded a bit insulting. It sounds like you outmanuevered him. So, he either wasn't as good as you had thought or you are far superior. Probably both. Personally, I have only played blood angels once...and I beat them only thanks to ion cannons and plasma rifles. So, it is possible. Heh, good job, then, beating the guy on such a large table.

The Thunderhawkes expensive because
1) its handmade
2) They dont want every run-of-the-mill gamer to have one, only the ones dedicated enough to spend that much on the hobby.

I have a very formidable Tau army and I have grown quiiite annoying to my enemies. Ambushes and steath treams are my game. I've only lost to m friend twice. He made us play on a CC table. He moved his Devestator team in and his dreadnought with my fire warrior right there. It wasn't a pretty sight. I almost won because of my Kroot, but he just lanced through to my big guns. I did, however, take out his dreadnought and most of his armor. Almost killed the devestator squad
