I love the Kasrkin though. IMHO I think that they are some of the best looking models ever created by GW.

Kasrkin are nothing more then Cadians with extra training, bolted on carapace armour, a sweet power pack fed hellgun (like ye olde Storm Troopers with hot shot lasguns) and a damn neat looking helmet with rebreather system.
But people please, not everything will be made into plastic. Numerous reasons for this, though I wont bother with them here.

There is NO excuse to have metal parts in the Space Marine range any more. But, they went and released NEW metal models. The same can be said for most IG stuff. The Kaskrins weren't THAT detailed.

The logic behind it is that they do not sell enough of those models to manufacture them in plastic. The cost to do so does not reflect as a profit and GW would actually take a loss...

well it seems that making plastic would be cheaper and if you can produce cheaper then you can sell cheaper and if they sell cheaper more people will buy

Mat well it seems that making plastic would be cheaper and if you can produce cheaper then you can sell cheaper and if they sell cheaper more people will buy sell cheaper? not likely. If a company like adidas can pay someone 5 cents to make a swatshirt they sell for $40, then GW can make things out of plastic and sell them for the price of pewter. Increased profit margin, ease of assembly for newbies, ease of conversions for all...

i personaly like the pewter models i just hate to paint them because i dont want to base coat them with a black so i have to give the model like 2 coats of the 1 color just to hide the pewter under neath it (and i don't like glueing them togeather with super glue (i have personal reasons for that)
