SandViper TheMessiah http://www.wijfzonderlijf.be/content/index.asp?page=framework&SPID=postdetail&ID=1227&DAID=09&MOID=06&YEID=2004 funny s**t Main Entry: dog·ma Pronunciation: 'dog-m&, 'däg- Function: noun Inflected Form(s): plural dogmas also dog·ma·ta /-m&-t&/ Etymology: Latin dogmat-, dogma, from Greek, from dokein to seem -- more at DECENT 1 a : something held as an established opinion; especially : a definite authoritative tenet b : a code of such tenets c : a point of view or tenet put forth as authoritative without adequate grounds 2 : a doctrine or body of doctrines concerning faith or morals formally stated and authoritatively proclaimed by a churchSo when newbies post that stupid stuff they do...it could be considered a dogma o_0 ? Well, it would be dogma if we all accepted their opinion as correct. Or if they come from some religion and they proclaim something. Most noobies ask questions though...

HL2 when it comes out, will be an amazing game. o s**t, did i say when it comes out? i mean IF it does.... although my views on HL2 are that it will be a 1/2 way decent game, but the mods are what will be prime. just like the first hl

Yeah, sometimes it seems as if the mods are better made than the actual game. Maybe that's just because they improved on the standing graphics and gameplay engine already.

Meh, I thought Half-Life was pretty spectacular when it came out. It was one of maybe three first-person shooters to have a plot which had any relevance to the gameplay itself (System Shock also was pretty awesome like that) at the time. It's wild success is one of the reasons you see so many FPSes now that try to have stories which aren't just "Things are coming. Kill them all." The scripted events, talking bystanders, and relatively good AI all made the game feel very distinct from the other FPSes at the time (which tended to be very generic.)
Anyways, that's my two cents on Half-Life.

That is very true. I admired the original storyline that Sierra created in Half-Life. Most of the FPS types you see springing up are military based, so their stories are generally the same, just with different parts of the world, different armies, etc.
I know I wouldn't play Medal of Honor for its story; that's for sure.

Ah, when in doubt, base your FPS off a real war, because video games about your father or grandfather's friends bleeding to death in some hellhole across the world are fun.

Are you talking about one of the older ones or even the original one? I never played MoH single player when an online option was available, so I wouldn't have an idea about it. The only single player one I've played is Rising Sun and I know they could've done a much better job than that.

Whenever the Messiah posts anything, it's sarcasm, unless otherwise stated.
