A concerned look spread over Kisoku's face. Leaning forward, He reached out as if to take her hand, but stopped short. "Kei? Are you alright?"

(Lol, I know how that is)
Kei just shook her head as she buried it in her arms. "Forget about it..." What was she going to do now? She wanted to find Reck to calm him down, make him laugh, something... but she didn't know how... Gomma skittered about on the table beside Kei's arm. What he was doning, Kei didn't know...

Kisoku reached out and lifted her head from the table. "This is technically partly my fault," he admitted reluctantly. "Would you like me to see if I can find him? If you want..." he paused, took a breath, let it out, and then continued. "I can apologize, if you'd like," he muttered.

She removed herself from his touch. "Dont bother... it wont do anything. Reck's like me when he gets upset. Just leave him alone for a while to collect his thoughts... I'll find him later and apologize myself..."

Kisoku pulled back sharply, feeling slightly rejected. It was a silly notion, to be sure, but he couldn't rationalize his emotions that well. Especially when it came to the fact that, generally, he didn't seem to have emotions. He looked down and began to try and bore a hole through the tabletop.

Kei lifted her head from the table as well. She didn't know what to so at the moment... she just knew she didn't want Kisoku to be upset either. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have brought him with me. I knew the two of you weren't going to get along... I shouldn't have tried to push it. I'm so stupid..."

"Stop right there," he snapped. He transferred his intense gaze to her. "We would have had to meet eventually, and being the way we both seem to be, the same outcome would've happened. Don't go blaming yourself- I'm an a**, he's a jerk, and we both like to pick fights it looks like. Don't you dare take all the blame on your shoulders."

Kei just kept shaking her head..."I've... never seen that look on his face before... after everything he's been through.... it was like he wasn't even alive anymore..." Her voice was becomming more and more of it's usual whisper... her throught became tight and dry...

Kisoku nearly growled. "Will you stop blaming yourself? Please? Stuff happens to people. That's life. I lost my family and moved on. The kage- something bad happened to her, and yet she's not in the hospital nearly as much. I overheard people saying that she looks better than she has in a long time. He couldn't have possibly been in a worse situation than one of us, and yet you don't see us as walking corpses, do you?"

Kei laughed slightly..." You're right... I'm being stupid again. Why should I care about the feelings of another person? Being a stupid genin, I should stop fooling around.... isn't that right?" She still had half her face covered... she tried as hard as possible to hide her eyes. She was crying.... she would have to expect a headache later...

Kisoku stood. He wouldn't stay there if she was going to take his comments and twist them around. He turned around and walked out slowly, leaving her behind with his hands clenched. His temper was high, and he really didn't want to take a chance of hurting her more than he was apparently doing.

Kei stayed as she was until he left... she had said too much and didn't want to take any other chances... She truly was a cruel person... doing something like that. Atleast she thought so... Wiping the tears from her eyes, she focused on calming herself down... giving herself reasons as to why she was wrong and had no reason to be upset... She gently stroked Gomma to calm herself further... "I'm such an idiot..."

Just then, Reck turned the corner to the entrace to the cafe and saw that Kei was sitting by herself crying slightly and Gomma was right by her side. He didn't know what to say to make her feel better since the entire event was kinda dramatic but he walked over to the table anyway and took a seat next to her and gently brushed her hair with his hand. "I'm...sorry sis."

Kei looked up and tried to give him a half smile. "It wasn't your fault... I should have stepped in before anything happened... It's my fault..."

Reck took his hand and wiped a tear from her cheek and smiled a little to cheer her up. "So tell me again, why do you like him? haha."
