considering that it was stated that shisui was even stronger and more respected than itachi, it makes pretty good sense. and try zooming in on a picture of the third guy, you'll see the sharingan pretty clearly. besides, itachi's a chump and sasuke's a little b***h...


I only have a couple things to say:

1. The sharingan thing is only seen in Inane's version. In other's version it just appears to be rings that may be a sharingan, but you CANNOT tell. Inane's version has a real bad habbit of mistranslating and altering s**t because that is just what they assume in stead of just clearing up the raw and just doing basic trans.
No! It was in the raw to, I remember!


No, it wasn't because all you could see in the raw version was a ring around the eye that could be, emphasis on COULD, a sharingan. They way Inane cleared it up was to make it appear to be a sharingan.

no, itachi is definitely not stronger than jiraiya or the kage, that's a silly assumption to make. they may be pretty closely matched but the sanin would own him eventually, you can't be mistaken by jiraiya's silly attitude. otherwise they would have taken naruto earlier, when it was a 2 on 1. And maybe the inane version translates stuff funny but that doesn't mean they alter the actual art in the manga. and also i'm pretty sure the clay-making akatsuki is a guy...

on top of all that, you named a lot of supporting and background characters that aren't necessarily central to the story. sure itachi and own them, but he can also own characters like choji. *shrug* that's not to say that he's so invincible. there's something wrong or weak with itachi because otherwise he wouldn't have gone through all that trouble and the character would seem stupid. obviously he can't be all that because the main characters are going to have to face him and he clearly isn't the 'final boss' so it's safe to assume that he goes down.



Well fisrt and foremost, Itachi is stronger than Jiraiya and the kage (he probabaly wouldn't have been able to beat the Yondaime, but he probably would have putten up a great fight). I already explained why he is stronger that both, but I'll guess I'll go through that again.

1. when Itachi and Kisame were trying to capture Naruto they said that Jiraiya would be a troublesome opponent to face, that why they tried to trick him. But then they fled because Itachi wanted to. Then a diaolouge like this insued:
Kisame: Why is a retreat necessary for YOU (refering to itachi)
Itachi: If what is aid about Naruto true, then we can wait. Also my body must rest at the same place for a while (whatever that means?). Also, until Tsukuyomi (Moon) becomes the "amaterasu" (sun) we should not use it (what ever that means).

But the reason I mention this is cause Kisame is shocked that Itachi ran from Jiraiya, implying that Itachi is stronger than he. You can check this out for your self in chapter 148.

Not enough for you to concede that Jiraiya and Tsunade would loose to Itachi? well then how about this?
2. I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and assume that all three sanin are roughly as strong as each other. I would even say that if Orochimaru's arms were functioning that he would ma be able to defeat the other two. And if you take that to be true, all three of them be of relatively equal strength, than all three are weaker than Itachi. How do I come to this conclusion you ask? Well, that's easy since Orochimaru state bluntly to Kabuto that he is weaker than Itachi. Don't beleive me? then read chapter 140 again and you'll have proof of the diaolouge between Orochimaru and Kabuto. So, if the sanin are all of relative equal strength then they would loose to Itachi. They may have a better chance against him now, since they have had 2 and a half years to dao whatever, so, hopefully they have trained for the upcoming battles that they'll have to face. But chances are they'll still loose one on one with Itachi.

i'd have to go with nightlight on this one. just because kisame didn't think it was necessary for itachi to run from jiraiya does not mean that itachi can beat him. kisame probably thought that itachi can go up against jiraiya but they don't really know what he's capable of. further proof was how jiraiya could spy on the akatsuki but they didn't know where he was when he took naruto with him. also remember that when orochimaru admitted that itachi was stronger than him, oro was already without his arms. besides, from what it looks like itachi's overused his sharingan and it's starting to degenerate. about oro being able to beat the other two sannin, kishimoto based their animal bosses on an old japanese folklore to show that they are all of equal strength. the snake is afraid of the slug, the slug is afraid of the frog, and the frog is afraid of the snake (or something like that... ). itachi's definitely one of the best shinobi's out there, no question. but can he beat the sannin? i doubt it. of course this is my opinion.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one cause there is other dialouge before Kisame and Itachi enter the city and in that dialouge Itachi says that Jiraiya would be troublesome to fight. Does that mean that Itachi could take him? I think with all the correlating factors it does. Also it seems that Jiraiya was amazed at the fact that they (Itachi and Kisame) could escape his "stomach" that he summoned and was even more surprized at the black fire. I think Jiraiya thought he had a very good assesment on the members of Akatsuki and was dumbfounded that they could escape.

Just because Jiraiya is a good spy doesn't mean that Itachi or the others of Akatsuki are not stronger than him. I mean, come on, he's been working on spying on people since he was a kid, he's an expert at peeking at people without them noticing.

Glad you noticed that, now what you should do is actually read what Orochimaru says in that dialouge when he is talking to Kabuto. Cause if you do that then you'll notice he says "if he had Itachi with him, then he would have no problems, but that dream is hopeless since Itachi is more powerful than him." This we have established, and now for the part that tears your argument apart he goes on to say "that is why I left that orginization." So, do you know what that means? That means Orochimaru found out that Itachi could kick his measly little a** while he was still in Akatsuki and that leads us to that little b***h (oro) trying to get Sasuke cause he can't have the man he wants so he goes after his little brother. So even before Orochimaru had lost his hands Itachi was still strogner than him, and I'm pretty sure that means even now, after Orochimaru has gotten the use of his arms back itachi can probably still kick his sorry little a**.

Perhaps, but teh Mangekyou is propably still a very deadly skill and I don't think we have yet to see the full extent of the Uchiha Shanringan quite Just yet (I think that the Black fire was only a taste of what Itachi can do with those eyes of his).

Yeah, I only said that was a possiblitly that Orochimaru could beat the other two sanin (I say it's likely since he is younger, at least his body is, than the other two). I do say that Orochimaru is at least as strong as the other Sanin, once again leading me to conclude that Itachi can beat Jiraiya and Tsudane since he is more powerful than Orochimaru.

They do have more experience since Itachi may be at most 20 to 25, maybe even 30, and the Sanin are what 50 each (well they have all been alive for 50 years since Orochimaru has that whole Immortality Jutsu thingy). So, Of course the Sanin all have more experience but that doesn't mean that They'll win against Itachi. Experience is important in fighting but it is only one factor out of many.

It seems that Itachi is the s**t stare cause he just took out everyone but Naruto. But aat least Kisame is getting his a** handed to him whee xp xd And I was right (sort of) Neji does escape the Water prison (but it doesn't seem that he helps gai much, since it doesn't seem gai needs all that much help xp ). I hope that Naruto can get his a** out of that sticky situation soon. Damn Masashi Kishimoto scream for misleading us stressed !!! His traler from 257 was that Kakshi gets serious. All that happened was that Kakashi seriously got his a** handed to him by Itachi gonk . And now I have to wait another week till the next Naruto sad crying

Agreed, I have now I dead what the hell is going on with the fight between Naruto and Itachi, has he fallen prey to the Mangekyou sharingan? or is this just a really weird technique that Itachi can use?? I just so confused atm sad
