Broleith pushed through the pain, flaming and dipping and dodging and weaving. They were so close to the end, so close! Both dragon and rider were determined not to give up, their wing needed them. They'd be able to hold on.

Twisting and wheeling, Broleith managed to save a wingmate from some pretty nasty Thread. He did a little spin move to finish off the dive, completely unable to help himself.

Don't get cocky, Broleith, Trissa warned as the blue continued to do 'completely necessary' twists and turns for Thread that was easily flammable from where they were.
Aw, c'mon, Trissa. It's just a bit of fun, Broleith said in return, completely unaware of the Thread sneaking up behind them. When it hit his rump he certainly felt it and with a horrible sounding screech of surprise, he jumped Between to escape the sting. Well then.
Something doesn't feel right. You wind up glancing over your shoulder just in time to see a small, silver strand drifting dangerously close to your dragon. Thankfully, your dragon shares your thoughts, and is able to blink Between and higher above their position, missing the strand, and saving yourself from a score. [+1 Instinct]
As ragged as the pair felt, it was almost too easy to spot the stray thread as it danced closer. As Eo'ryn spotted it, Taeslith popped between with a mere thought, appearing where she could safely flame it.

Your dragon notices a sudden writhing stream of silver thread out of the corner of his or her eye. If a white, green, or blue, with surprising grace, they turn on a wingtip and manage to flame it to ash. You successfully flame it down. [+2 Target Accuracy] If a brown or bronze, you find yourself unable to dodge, and take a hit! [Minor Damage if Bronze - 1 HP // Moderate Damage if Brown - 3 HP]
More thread! Taeslith turned in time with her rider's thoughts, with a grace she rarely showed when grounded. Her sharp, elegant turn put her in position to flame the patch of thread, and avoid threadscore, to boot! Nice job, Erenyo told her dragon, but let out a sigh of shared exhaustion. Only a little longer...but this threadfall was tough on them, to be sure.

Having had a bit of humility burned into his behind, Broleith focused on flaming as they flew. They ran out of firestone with just a bit more left in the flight, so Trissa quickly called for more. They weren't out of this just yet! Filling the bag, she focused back on the skies, ready for one more push.

As soon as she turned to face the first patch, flaming it down, she spotted another just behind her. With a roar that sounded surprisingly confident and certainly determined, Taeslith whirled around towards the second tangle, letting out a burst of flame to meet it.

Your dragon dives for a strand of thread that has fallen through the upper wings. Right before they belch forth their flame, they suddenly jerk hard to the right, almost in a roll, and quite unexpectedly. Sure enough, a gust of wind would have whipped the thread back in their face! Instead, the strand whips by, and your dragon is able to successfully flame it. [+1 Instinct]
The pair was proud of their performance thus far--at least, their recent performance. They were tired, so tired, but they pushed on. Healing? No, they would get healing when they got back. They were so close to done, so close...and then, they could rest, once duty was done. Somehow, their aches and pains didn't distract them enough to twist away from a sudden gust of wind, carrying thread, in the midst of a dive. Letting out the flame from her maw, Taeslith scorched the thread to ash.

Ouch! Feeding your dragon some firestone has resulted in them biting their tongue! This is going to distract your dragon for the next three rolls. Their flaming aim will go down, and they might be slower to dodge out of Thread's way. [Tongue Bitten Effect! Your dragon is distracted by pain. No XP will be earned for the next 3 rolls. Any successes will be nullified. Should you roll a prompt with the possibility of damage, take the max damage allotted for your size/color automatically but it will also end the Tongue Bitten Effect immediately.]
Exhausted. Tired. They persevered, both equally determined to fight thread, but threadfall was reaching its end. Perhaps it was the desire to return to the weyr, but distraction caused Taeslith to bite her tongue. Ow!

Talela and gold Vimiath Catching Myrrath!

Even as a rash of other dragons were falling and being caught, the squeal of a smaller dragon drew Vimiath's attention just in time to see the green struggle, then start to fall as well. She and Talela seemed to be the closest, and with a mental nod of affirmation from her rider, the gold jumped between and came out almost exactly where she needed to be. With just a hint of adjustment, and then practiced compensation for the blow of the green's weight, Myrrath was safely caught. She did have nearly 50 turns' experience at this, after all! With another quick hop, Vimiath ferried her charge to the safety of the weyrbowl.
