Dante suddenly stopped trotting along happily and instead just padded along slowly without another word. Crescent was right, he was being stupid. It didn't help that he was really influential. And it was because of his selfishness that so many bad things happened. He'd probably risk everyones lives just to stay amused. It was how Hikari died. His lovely aunt. All because of his selfishness. He replayed it in his mind as he shifted back into his human form and moved along more sluggishly looking the the ground sadly. Yeah, after all, he was just a kid.

*After some time the storm started to come to pass. And the raining where they were stopped as they nears a cliff. There the three would stop and looked down to a gaint city upon a small mountain of trees. "Welcome to my old home. Rivendell. Capital of the elves. Here all the clans thrive." She explained. It was true, the place was massive, and the oldest int he world. The place was the last struture since the anchant times to still stand, or so they thought. She then pointed to a small hill like end to the siding, were a bridge led stright into a another smaller forest. "It is there. We will move stright and take a left. From there we will exsit the elcry..." she stopped as suddenly she heard the call of the elves behind her, making haist to get them for getting away. She turned, "oh no! Not now!" Cresent turned alarmed, "see i told you to be quiet you fool!" She yelled to donte. She pulled out her sword but dropped it as he skin burned and she hid it back into her coat, "the air is too wet here. I cannot fight them." Elainia pointed, "hurry!" They would start to make a break to the bridge, but the elves were getting far to close as elainia turned and drew her bow, "got son of yokai... i will hold them off." She looked over her shoulder with a happy smile, "with luck maybe next time we meet it will be at your home."

Dante was reluctant to leave his new friend, however knew that if he stayed then he'd just risk even worse things happening, and he knew he'd done enough of that already. So he pulled away and quickly shifted into his wolf form to storm away from the danger. He still did however, stay silent and didn't shout to Moon and Crescent as he ran, feeling guilty enough as he did. Dante sprinted across the bridge with ease, the water on his fur making a streamline.

*As the three got across, they turned to find Elainia turned, cut the ropes to the bridge and started to fend some of her own kind off untill she was backed up to the side of the cliff. There she put her bow onto her back, and jumped to the canyon below, hundreds and hundreds of feet down. As cresent turned and put a hand on dontes shoulder through her hide coat, "keep moving." Moon sniffled but now went silent aswell.

Dante's jaw dropped open and shoved Crescent's hand off his shoulder to run back to the edge of the cliff. "ELAINIA!" He shouted, although knew he shouldn't have expected a reply. He stood there then rose his wolfy head to look at the rest of the elves bunching up at the other side of the cliff. That was his fault too. He was so stupid. Why didn't he just listen to them before? If this was going to happen through every part of the adventure then... he didn't know.

*Cresent looked down and started walking. "I warned him." She mumbled. Meanwhile Moon stood next to donte, "theres a chance you know... she's a elf and she knows how to live off the land better then anyone. And she made that jump on purpose... she may still be alive." She looked to donte and wiped a tear, "but if we dont get moving then even if she is alive it would be in vain for what she had to do for us. Come on, lets get out of this place."
In only a hours time the forest finally came to end as the three walked out to a dirt road like pathway. Now the forest was gone, they were safe from the elves. And now in the horizen far out, large mountains could be seen, and rock everywhere. There cresent looked to the map, "we need to get around those mountains... but acourding to this the fastest and easest way is through them. Theres a old mine tunnle that goes stright through it seems."

Dante still wasn't speaking much. Either not speaking at all or giving one word answers. He was ashamed, to tell the truth, of himself among other things. So he decided it was probably better than he toned himself down for whatever length of time he could manage. "There's probably a reason no one uses it." He commented, although just kicked a rock and scratched his head.

*Moon nodded, "he's right you know." Cresent shied, "yesh but it will take us months to walked around the mountains and climb the smaller mountains. We dont have that kind of time. So we have no choice. And at least in there, it will give time for everything to dry off." She looked to them, "so thats basicly our only option as luck would have it." She shrugged, "such is my life. Lets go." She started moving with lead. Still her usarl self, however not as kind with her words as before. Seems even the thought of elainia was effecting her too, just she wasn't showing it right now. But as they ventured out a ways she stopped and stepped off the path, "we should make camp. We havn't had a proper one in days. And i'm sure your hungry donte." She replied looking to him. Moon nodded, "i could use some sleep." She sat on a rock.

Dante didn't seem too bothered, and not even with that much of an appetite as he shifted back to a wolf, stretched his pows out in front of him and curled up into a fluffy ball. "Not really." He mumbled in reply, fluffing his fur up for more warmth and hiding his face under his paws.

Moon sat down and curled up with donte again, "awww it's okay donte." She replied sorta petting him. Cresent shied again and looked away as she started a campfire, "i'll keep watch again." She mumbled as she got up and walked over to a rock fasing toword the forest way back and sat there in thought. And as the night would go on, she would spend her time sharping her spikes on her belts again. Leaving the two others to sleep.

Dante woke up, sometime in the middle of the night, as he raised his head and squinted over to Crescent. "Are you still awake?" He woke up properly and stretched him paws to find Moon with him. However he still looked over to Crescent, forgetting that he was supposed to be grumpy in his half-sleepy state. "Don't you sleep?" He asked curiously.

*Cresent looked slightly over her shoulder. then back, as she stopped sharping her points on her belt on one of her arms, "rarly. And the sharping sound helps me stay alart as i drift into the memorys." She pulsed and started sharpinging them agian. "It's hard to sleep, when things hunt you at night. When you have to watch over your shoulder at all times." She smerked, "somthing i was trying to teach you before it's too late." She was actuly breaking alittle here to talk to him. Just alittle.

Dante stared at her and cocked his head a little. "It doesn't hurt to lay back sometimes." He lowered his head. "I know I'm not a good example of it... with all the trouble I cause but.. in some situations you don't need to constantly watch over your shoulder. And it's good to relax." He said attempting a grin, even though it was an effort. "Besides, you should sleep too."

*Cresent smerked alittle bit. "Tell you what. If your going to keep watch, maybe i'll relax." She gave a small chukkled, "it's hard to know when someone really does have your back." She looked back, "you got mine?" She was testing him. somthing she hadn't done to anyone but moon. But as she finsihed sharping her last spike she stood up, the moon high above forming light around her dark form on the rock, "sometimes donte we arn't the luckest in the world. When things need to be done for personal reasions, people get hurt." She jumped down. and walked over to him as she sat down next to moon. "Elainia was a good girl. It was a shame becuse of me, she had a fate as of such. But when we do personly things, somtimes that happens. Understand?"

Dante nodded slowly and put his head back on his paws. "And we have to move on. It's all right to grieve, but to be held back by the past isn't allowed. That's what Hikari said to me when my parents died." He nodded. "So it doesn't help.. being upset either. Especially when we gotta lot in front of us!" Which was another reason why he was happy most of the time. He raised his head again and smiled to Crescent. "And yeah, I'll keep watch for you, Crescent."
