((TIME SKIP!))
Another beautiful Thanksgiving Day had arrived, and unlike previous occasions, Isaac was up and about earlier than usual. Ordinarilly he would be sleeping in, since it was a holiday, and when he did get up, he would have given himself just enough time to shower, shave, get dressed, and go to his parents' home, arriving just before the start of the first football game of the day, and allowing enough travel time to stop at the local grocery store to get something edible, so that he didn't arrive at his parents' home empty-handed. Today was different, though, because today he will be taking Natasha and Clementine with him to his family's Thanksgiving Day celebration. He had arranged with Natasha to pick up her and Clementine early enough that they should arrive at his parent's home about an hour before game time, so that he would have plenty of time to introduce them to any family members that they had not met yet, and for Natasha and Clementine to get comfortable before the game started. With that in mind, Isaac had gotten up earlier than he might have so that he wouldn't have to rush to Natasha's apartment. Of course Natasha knew from her time as his secretary that he wasn't always as punctual as he might be, and so she might not be surprised if he was a few minutes late. Even so, it would be rude of him to be late, and so he was endeavoring not to be late. Furthermore, he had already purchased his food contribution to the celebration, so that he won't have to stop at the store while on his way to Natasha's or after he had picked up Natasha and Clementine. This year he had decided to go with one of those large shrimp appetizer platters. Knowing his family as he did, he might have to hide the platter someplace until just before the meal officially began, so that the shrimp didn't disappear before the meal. Isaac had also purchased a can of the most-expensive brand of cranberry sauce that he could find in his local grocery store. That was primarily for his mother. One of her innumerable sayings that she spouted off during the holidays was, "You can never have too much cranberry sauce." Most likely his mother has been stockpiling cranberry sauce since Halloween, or maybe Labor Day, but she'll certainly accept another can, especially if it's the good stuff, and she'll probably thank Isaac for it. Having completed his morning tasks, and had splashed on some of his favorite cologne, Isaac looked at the clock and saw that he was on schedule. He collected the shrimp platter, cranberry sauce, and the pink carnation that Natasha could wear if she chose, went to his car, and drove to Natasha's apartment.
