*Shortstraw followed behind Donte, "soflora..." She nodded, "it seems there is a large group of them in some room to the right from here... they are gathered around somthing... we should aviod going there if possable." She whispered. Shortstraw nodded and looked to Donte, "easy buddy... easy..." he replied. He was happy at asher however, she was really doing a good job and keeping track of them all, and keeping the noobs safe from doing the wrong thing. "Keep your head no the mission..." Shortstraw warned afrade he might be thinking too hard on other things as they went.*

Asher nodded. "Demons like to be in huddles like that. Probably banking off work while gambling." Dante looked back at Asher for a second. "Gambling over what?" Asher winced. "Human lives." Dante gulped a little as he looked forward again and kept moving. "Did you use to do that?" Asher chuckled quietly. "Of course. It's a favorite demon pastime. We aren't as serious as humans talk about in stories." Dante looked back at her with a concerned expression and Asher hissed. "Look forward when you're walking! It is possible to stumble into these Demon nests." Dante was wide-eyed at the stories Asher was telling him. "Demon... nests?" Well Asher had done one thing right, scared Dante into taking this more seriously.

*Shortstraw nodded, "Damn speaking of which i have something for you at home Asher." Shortstraw replied with a wink as they kept walking. It seemed there was a snall room that was build not too long ago to the old half there building that had been tehre all this time, inside was where the smell was coming from.*

Dante caught the strong scent and darted off, Asher keen on his tail. Asher stopped him before he went any further. "Careful." She glanced at the room with thinned eyes then looked to Dante. "Here?" Dante nodded. "Right here." Asher looked back to the group. "We have to be careful for traps. That would be just like the demons I'm familiar with." Kiera sighed. "But these demons aren't like you." Asher cocked her head. "Eh, somewhat. But even so. That doesn't excuse the facts that there will probably be tricks. This was just too easy so far." Kiera shook her head. "I don't like it either."

*Shortstraw nodded, "Yes but maybe they are making it easy on purpose aslwell." He was deffently keeping somthing form keria, she didn't know about his encounter the other day yet. He walked over to the door and looked to it. He looked to the symbols that worked like a lock and close dhis eyes, "Asher. This door needs opening, it's protected be a seal..." Soflora nodded, "it may get laud if i punch it." Shortstraw nodded and pointed to the side wall, "hit there. Donte, you and Keria keep watch, but stay close." Soflora went to hit the wall, but stopped as Shortstraw stopped her arm, "wait. Better idea." He put his hand on the wall and close dhis eyes as his dagger started to spin in his hand, he then started to slowly carve a cirlce into the side of the wall, slow so it didn't make too mcuh sound, but just enough with his speed it was enough for the wall to be weakened. "Alright now." She nodded and punched the wall as the wall pieces fell back. There was a noice, but it wasn't too much past what nose the ;arge demons were making with just walking around. There footstepps about echoed. Inside tehre was mark chained to the wall. He looked up and smiled. Shortstraw was quick to take his mouth gag off as Soflora broke the cuffs on his arms with ehr stright, "thank god you came. With help. Demain, he's... they have him. Had him i should say. He came back and he wasn't well. They had been touching him i think." Shortstraw nodded, "I got it, you go with them." he looked to DOnte and Soflora, "go and get him out of here and to the safe house. Keria, your with me. Asher, your with them. Make sure they get out safe, and if you have time, come back if we dont arive quickly." He nodded to Keria, "alright." He looked to Mark, "where?" Mark shied, "I think they took him around the corner here to the left. Shortstraw, they have assembled a leader..." Shortstraw nodded, "just go." He then stood up, "Make haist." He turned to keria and started to move the oppiset direction.

Kiera shuffled after Shortstraw wearily. "Shortstraw.. I really don't like this. Now that we're all split up we're weaker. And I'm getting some weird frequencies from here." In fact, they were being interrupted. Asher grunted. "Urgh, stuck with the newbies." She yawned a little and looked to Dante. "You help Mark if he needs any help walking. Surely all this time in chain would have effected something. And stay close behind me, I can't stress that enough. You can't go off in one of your dazes again." Dante frowned. "A-all right. Sorry Asher." Asher turned. "Lets just get out of here." Asher looked back to Mark for a second. "Are you all right to hide your aura? I can cloud it if you're too weak."

Mark shied, "Sadly i don't have much of a aura left after waiting in that whole for so long. But yea, i can hide it alittle." He looked to Donte, "and i can walk, but i'm not going to be too quick.." Meanwhile shortstraw looked to Keria, "i need you for something too." He quickly made his way through the enemys noses, un0noticed, being he was good at thsi sort of thing to begin with. Then he stopped as he found Demain all bloody and laying on the floor, where his blood would slowly fill some sort of carving on the floor. Basicly he was left there to die. Shortstraw walked over to him and picke dhim Up, "alright we..." he grabbed shortstraws arm, "No time. Shortstraw... i'm done... i didn't tell them anything, and i hid the book... in the forest... by the largest tree... take it... find a new sussessor for my place..." shortstraw shook his head, "don't give up just yet." Demain smiled, "shortstraw... it doesn't work that way. My wounds aren't fixable. Lisen, they plan on reciveing all of our items and putting them together..." HE started to sound weaker, "she's hunting us..." just then a small metal rose landed into demains head as shortstraw stood up. "Thankyou shortstraw. I got what i wanted, i knew if i waited pashaintly i would get my answer." Replied the shorts girl in teh rose petal cloak. Shortstraw stepped forword, "Keria go get that book. Do whatever it takes. I'll finish up here and meet you later."

Kiera was staring at the girl, then looked to Shortstraw. She was about to say something in objection, but bit her lip and ran back where she came from. She teleported out of the building, and as she thought, was confronted with a couple of demons. She brought out two daggers and held them backhand as she flew between them, slashing at them like an acrobat before they all fell to the floor and she kept moving. A book? She was... mildly curious. By the largest tree. By the largest tree. She skidded to a stop suddenly and looked around herself. "Largest tree?" Swiveling around again, she saw another glimmer of a red jacket, then gone. She wished her mind would stop playing tricks on her like that. She then spotted a tree with a larger trunk than the rest, and putting her daggers back in her belt, she rushed over to it.

*There tucked under the branches was a large silver cased book, the book of the type of Demon hunter Demain once was. With it, another sussesser could be found and would be able to use it. But only if it was givin to them by another demon hunter. It was like shortstraw neckless basicly.
Meanwhile shortstraw stood there, "i was wondering why you would go after them but not me." The girl smiled, "Yes of course. I need each of them far before i need you. Your the final peice of the puzzle i have planned Mr Straw." Suddenly there was a dagger that just went past her head, however it appeared shortstraw never moved. She smiled, "Is it anger that powers you Mr Straw?" She stepped forword, "counter the girl." She ordered to her two gaurds as they headed off toword keria, Meanwhile it was now shorstraw aginst her once more, "We already know how this works. Both of us are equal in power and fighting abilitys. I figured if i let you save your little freind it would giv eyour little team cofindence that they had a victory of a sort." Shortstraw nodded, "I had the feeling." He pointed at her, "I don't care wha tyou plan though. I don't care what you do with the pieces, but you should never lay a hand on anyone that has nothing to do with any of this, you understand." She giggled, "Don't worry Mr. Straw, i don't plan on takeing over the world or anything like that, i need it in oder to survive. Oh no, i plan on something more minor compaired to how your acting right now." He nodded and turned, "in the end your head will be in my hand." She nodded, "As will yours in mine Mr Straw. Go on, your team is waiting." But as shortstraw turned he appeared behind her with a quick arm, she didn't seem to be ready for it, but she was quick to counter with a blow to his chest. He flew into a stone wall, and she slide across the uneven brick of the ground and into a piller.*

She grabbed the book and slammed her back against the trunk as she turned to look at the cover. Eh, it quickly lost her interest. Just more Demon hunter crap. But it was important to Shortstraw. So she quickly put it safe in her coat, and looked around herself. She wasn't followed? Wait, yes she was. She could sense them coming. It was probably safest to get out of this place, quick. But she didn't like leaving Shortstraw there. He was the only one left in the group in the demon den. And with that girl. Who was she? Kiera really didn't like the aura that she had. It was almost familiar. But she couldn't just stand there debating with herself.

*Shortstraw quickly dashed out of the hole as she flipped up to her feet and they clashed again, int he midest of the clash time seemed to slow in motion as they passed eachother, "see... we're still equl..." Then time was right again and the girl was gone as shortstraw came to a slide and shied. He punched a wall beside him as the wall tumbled down. He noticed all the demons startingto dissapear, the barrior no longer active as it shut down. Why she was leaving the area made no sense to him. She had him, with hundreds of her own there in all directions. SHe could have got him then and there. Unless what she spoke was true. He shied and turned to leave as he found a large golem standig there breathing heaviliy. Shortstraw shied, "a parting gift to slow me down so i don't track her. Really? Fine Fine." he then quickly ran to the golem slipped under it's legs and up it's backside as he stabbed the dagger in a certain place and it fell to the ground. Too easy for him. She would even know that by now, but there were no more DD Traces. Each was gone. He walked over and squatted down to Demains body and shook his head, "It was never suppost to be this confussing." He then noticed however how the blood was moving along the cracks. This wasn't a normal... It was a symbol... an acnchant symbol. he moved out of the way as the blood suddenly got tot he center and the ground shook, a door appeared underneith him as the bricks folded into themselves to make a passageway...*

Kiera felt the earth shake and that decided it for her. "Paradioa." As he would have appeared, she quickly handed the book to him and turned to run. "Take this back to the house, make sure no one else touches it until I get back. I have to go see if something's happened to Shortstraw." She gave him a grin. "And don't think I've gone so soft just yet. I need him for things." And with that, she disappeared again, running back to the wall. She punched a hole through it and slid inside, still with her momentum. Now she was running through the tunnels again, before she came to the entrance to the large room her and Shortstraw were in before. Instead of making herself known, she slammed her back against the wall, and brought a mirror out of her pack so that she could look around the corner without being seen. What.. what was this? The girl was already gone? And now there was this passageway.

*Shortstraw looked to the passageway and hesitatied. Was this something she was after, or somthing she was waiting for him to see. He seemed to be in thought wether ot not to enter. He looked to the sky then shied, "By now everyone was about gone. He couldn't feel aura right now so that was out of the picture. He slowly and caustiouly walked down the steps to find a small anchant libary. There he released his tention. The girl had never been here, that was certain now. He slolwly stepped through the first set of selves. Then stopped noticing there was a book int he center, proped up on some pedistool. He looked to it confussed, "What is this?" He asked as it echoed. He looked to the pedistool first then slowly picked up the book carfull. No traps activated and he instantly started to look into the book. till one page got his intrest, then the place started to rumble. The presserplate was alittle slow, but it was working. the place started to cave in, this one instantly as he turned and dashed to gt out. He leaped at the last second to roll... but sadly as the book slid aginst the ground shortstraw was stuck, his left leg crushed by the ruble of the once opening. He pulled on it and yelled in pain. Surly his leg was broken... or so he would think. He shied, "damn it..."

How did Kiera predict that something like this was going to happen? Anyway, Shortstraw was lucky that she came back, because now as she came out into the open and rushed over to Shortstraw. "What the hell happened?!" She pretended that she didn't see it as she instantly tried moving the rubble from Shortstraws leg. "Do you think you'll be able to walk?" She asked as she pulled the last bit of rubble off his leg and pulled him up.

*He looked to his leg and tested it. He could move it, it just stung alot, and was bleeding a bit. "Yea... i can still walk... just... really slowly." He looked to her, "How did i know you weren't going to lisen." He shook his head, "She set all this up to get to me i think. Theni noticed the blood of Demain was running troung that spot right there... and then a door opened. This relic was much like the last, build obviously fromt he same people. ANyways, there was one book down there mistreated like the rest, I grabed it, but it seems even i wasn't fast enough to get out." He looked to the book, "Grab that would you... and lets get back to the others. Make sure everything on there end is okay." He looked up to keria, "i know i have some explaining to do."
