late gothic-i wrote it still resembles gothic traidtions and decorations, but starts to show hints of translation into italo byzantaine, it starts to encompas distance attemps at depth and it... and it... oh starts to devleop the themes from italio bzyantaine.

international gothic styole was the adaptation of frenth gothic with influences of northern art to sienese art, started by simone martini, it was ornate
the black death was a terrible plauge that wiped out over half the poupulation startedin the east and went west.

I found out waht some are
retable-a frame of decoration of paintings on the back of an alter (peice?)
valois was a french family who became teh ducks of bunrgundy, which was middle france, belgium and the neverlands... the dukes were into manuscrips and tapestries, and they collected alot of stuff.
gonzaga was also an art collector I think...
treatise is an extensive writing about something. I'm gonna guess a little more about a confreaternaty that it's probably a part of the relgition... that does such things... :/ (the burrial, singing and tending to the sick).

allegory is a symbol... pietra serena is serene stone..
disotto in su is seen from directly below
flanders/flemsih is the area of belgium i think... oil/glaze came into poupularity cuz it dried slowly and you could get different effects with it vs. tempera which dries quickly.
