So, the way I figured it in my head, reading over the essential distilled mission statement of this guild, I would think that the most powerful fighters would still only be as about as powerful as, say, a level 10 D&D character. Reading through what your characters could & could not do in OOC for the last few days, that seems to not be the case at all... guess I gotta Goku the ******** up in here.

The profile process would be faster if applicants didn't think they had to argue their abilities with each pm. That's usually what takes up the most time.

This is why a waiting list is a bad idea... Its punishing people for not knowing about the tournament ahead of time, people that could actually get the thing started quicker... There should at least be a limit to revisions before you know your competing with others

I submitted my profile for review a few days ago, it was sent to the private review thread in this guild, and now I see that registration is closed by I don't see my name on the list of combatants. Who should I speak to to confirm a formal denial of my participation or a status update?

Chances are, it was put on the waiting list. Even if it wasn't, profiles still have to go through grading, meaning that you won't be immediately denied or accepted until a staff member looks over your profile. When that happens is dependent on crap like real life, how many profiles are before it, etc.
Assuming it got in before registration closed; I'm not sure when registration actually closed; I'm not on staff and/or I haven't followed that closely. Registration's closing means that new profiles can't come in, and people in the current pool are who'll potentially fill out the last few positions on the roster.
I think some of the staff are also still handling holiday business (visiting family, traveling, so on) so there's going to be some slowdown in that area, too.

Not that it means anything. If it's not specified then it could be.. whenever.
And there's nothing stopping people from posting with their characters arriving at wildly different times. Time paradox and s**t, bro.
