She smiled at the girls attempt at copying her greeting, Vanae didnt have to bow back but I guess she didnt know that. Letting go of Bo's arm she walked over to the water with her feet in it. "Hm..." Kari contemplated whether she wanted to brave the water or just stay safe on shore. She sighed, "I really wanted to swim more."

 ℣anae⇛ℰverly⇚ℋolmes ⇛Vanae gave a light shrug, glancing to the water. Sharks, huh? The teen chuckled quietly, amused that the girl from earlier would propose something like that. This place was a school, right? And having a beach infested with sharks was something you could get shut down for, or so she assumed, since this was all so new to her. So, they might've closed off an area in the waters for the sharks so the students could swim.. Well, might as well find out, right? Vanae gave a small laugh as Kari debated about going in, and she walked past her. "Well, I'm not waiting."
And with that being said, she started wading into the crystal blue waves, a shiver running up her back from the temperature. Once she was deep enough, she dived in, disappearing from sight.⇚

Boverk laughed at them as he gets his butt on the sand and goes though his towel pulling out a water bottle and drinks some as he watches as Kari stands at the shore and Vanae jumped in. They seemed to being opposites and that would be interesting in time. Pulling out his notepad he begins to write in it.

"Hmph..." What was Vanae laughing at? The thought crossed her mind as she walked into the water. Once she was to about waist deep she looked back at Bo. "Hey, why dont you stop writing or drawing and come back in?" She smirked and walked backwards deeper into the water.

℣anae⇛ℰverly⇚ℋolmes ⇛Vanae finally came up from the water, gasping for air for a few minutes. After she caught her breath, she rose an arm in the air and waved it, grinning. "No sharks as far as I can see!" She called, and took another deep breath, plunging into the water once more. It had been so long since she actually got to swim, and on a hot day like this, the water felt extremely refreshing. Once she resurfaced again, she heard Kari's statement to Bo and laughed. "Come on, Bo! Get off your lazy bum."⇚

Kari shrugged and fell back in the water so she was floating on her back. Swimming back she closed her eyes so she wasnt blinded by the sun. She decided to go under and swim a little, catching a glimps of Vanae after a little while and coming back up.

℣anae⇛ℰverly⇚ℋolmes ⇛Vanae went like that for several minutes, surfacing than diving into the water again, over and over. She had finally grown sick of it and swam closer to the shallow end of the waters, sitting upright with the water up to her waist. "So.. that Gene-X stuff, what was it?" She asked curiously, asking both of them in general, whoever would answer her. She took a seashell in her hands, examining the ridges on the back and the smoothness on the bottom. After a while, she tossed it as far as she could, the result being quite pleasing.⇚

Boverk glanced at Vanae which meant his eyes left the pad for a moment. "Gene-X... is what unlocks the true nature of the human Dna each person can unlock one of these strands in the Dna." He chuckles for a second as he returned to his pad. His voice turns to a mocking on as he keeps speaking."Its to better mankind in a whole taking us to the next stage of evolution ...." he started writing again and goes back to his normal voice."Truly it turns us into weapons....You leave the people who did that to you in first place than.... your sent to another place for the same reason." He said with a serious but quiet tone

Kari swam back up a little ways so she could be heard by Vanae and hear her talk as well. "Gene-X?" She thought about the question for a moment. "From what I've gathered its a chemical that awakens something in your genetics. Depending on which one you take depends on what awakens." It wasnt a very good explination but she hoped it helped a bit. "Sorry if thats a bad explination." She agve an embarassed smile and sat next to her in the water.

℣anae⇛ℰverly⇚ℋolmes ⇛Vanae's expression fell at Boverk's last comment, and she muttered something inaudibly under her breath, rubbing a scoop of sand between her hands. That damned hell hole.. great, according to Bo, she just got herself into another one? "Weapons, huh? I wonder if they use us for entertainment, too.." She muttered bitterly, eyes glaring at seemingly nothing in the distance. She bit down on her lip, shaking her head and trying to shake off the feeling she got thinking about her previous.. occupation. Instead, she tried to change the subject.
"So, what, it alters you DNA to something else? Like..?" Vanae dipped her hands in the water to wash off the grains of sand, scrubbing at her face a moment later. The water helped wake her up, not that she needed it now.. She turned her gaze to Kari, and gave a quiet laugh, not a bad one. "Don't sweat it. Explanations aren't quite my forte, either." She said, somewhat nervously, giving a smile.⇚

Boverk almost got lost in his thoughts before he awnsered but only somewhat."I control animal like abilities mostly dealing with poisons..." he said softly. His eyes close as he starts to draw a girl leaning against a railing smiling back at the artist it seemed. Her hair was long to her back with a slim body. Her features were shadowed out sadly

"Yeah, me either. Much better at fighting. Seems to be the only thing I can do right." Her smile fell as she thought about her father and the dojo. Looking away from Vanae she looked towards the horizon where the sky and the water met. It was calming to her.

That was the only reason she kept her reply vague, just in case he didn't want the red head to know just yet. Boverk seemed to be kind of cautious about things like that sometimes. She then turned to look at Kari again, and after a moment, stood. "Well, I dunno about you two, but I'm starved. Wanna grab a bite to eat?" Vanae asked, a more genuine smile perched on her lips, holding a hand out to the girl.⇚
