"So....What do we do now?" asked Tails, "Destroy what's left of the fleet and mourn the dead?"
"Guess so." Rouge agreed. She noticed Shadow, who was staring at a peice of metal finger. "What's up, Shadow? Suppose YOU'RE busy mourning your master?"
Shadow didn't reply, nor take his eyes off the finger.

Dante looked at the others. "Alright. Let's take out the fleet, then get the hell outta here." He told the others.

They nodded.
"Well then, let's go." Sonic began walking off.
"Wait Sonic!" Luna called after him. She looked at Shadow. "Shadow, are you coming?"
A moment of silence. Then...."He's not dead." said Shadow quietly, eyes getting wide.
They froze. Including Sonic.
Sonic ran over, stopping beside Shadow. "What did you just say?" he asked, obviously hoping he had misheard.
"Metal Overlord is not dead." Shadow repeated.

Dante sighed. "Aw, COME ON!" He yelled. "Me and Justin already busted our asses against him once, and Justin's passed out!" He added.

"I can't control when and how he's defeated!" Shadow said.
The finger twitched.
"Yknow, it's times like this when there's only one thing left to do...." Sonic said, "RUN FOR THE HILLS!" He sped off.
"Couldn't have said it any better myself." Knuckles ran after him, hand over his wound but otherwise fine.
"SONIC!"
"WAIT UP!"
Rouge and Tails flew after them.
Luna couldn't move. No, I mean she literally could not move. Like she had just turned to stone or something.
Shadow touched her hand, to pull her, but got electrocuted. He fell back onto the ground. "Ugh!"
It suddenly shot out wires and electronical things, forming a hand with other fingers. This soon became an arm, which became a torso, and continued to grow until Metal Overlord's whole body had repaired itself. Next the head was formed, ending with his spikes. His eyes shot open. Actually, Overlord seemed just as surprised about his rebirth as everyone else.

Dante ran off with Justin over his shoulder. There was NO way that he could take on Metal alone. And with Justin still unconscious, things were gonna be hard.

"Even after I don't have the gem, I'm complete...? Has my body downloaded it's data automatically? Either way, I'm less powerful without it...." Pondered the mech, staring at his hands. He looked up at Luna. "Thank you for keeping that safe for me while I regained my body." He said softly, walking towards her.
Luna still couldn't move. She figured Metal had her under some sort of spell or something.
Shadow stepped infront of Luna. "Piss off!" he said angrily.
Metal stopped infront of Shadow. He was taller then the mutant. He raised his hand, knocking Shadow aside easily. The mutant flew back, landing on his back painfully. "Annoying pests." Metal returned his gaze to Luna.
Sonic hit an invisable brick wall at the end of the flagship. And try running into one at mach 1. He wouldn't be surprised if his face had smashed open. Falling onto his butt, he held his nose. "OKAY, THAT IS COMPLETELY UNFAIR!"
(You're telling me.... stare )

Dante sighed, putting Justin down. He then ran back to face Metal. "You ain't getting that rock." He told him, swinging Rebellion at him.

Shadow got to his feet and ran at Metal, hands in fists. "HAAAH!" He punched.
Metal's hand closed on Shadow's fist. He used his other one to grab Rebellion's dull side. "I wonder what happens when a blade meets human flesh?" He stepped back, pushing Rebellion down and pulling Shadow's arm in range of it's cutting.
Sonic ran back in a flash. "Not happening, bolt-brain!" He said, slipping into the little scruffle and grabbing both of Metal's wrists.
(Thankfully, THE REST OF THEM WON'T BE LAZY VEGETABLES ON THE SIDELINES THIS TIME! scream )

Dante looked over at Sonic. "'Bout time someone other than me and Justin got involved!" He told the half hedgehog.

"Yeah, well, last time me and Hedgehog had our hands full with each other, then with the aftermath of it." Shadow explained, pulling his fist free.
Metal kneed Sonic in the stomach, making the mutant release his wrists. "You're the one with the bolt-brain, copy!" He said, doing a roundhouse kick and smacking Sonic to the side, not unlike he had done to Shadow.
Sonic gasped for breath. He recovered quickly, glaring Metal Overlord. "Dude, you really need to visit an asylum sometime, and see how the patients are just like you." He told his robotic double.

Dante ran at Metal, stabbing Rebellion at him multiple times at blinding speed.

Metal stumbled back a bit. There were slashes in him everywhere.
Sonic, not waiting for Metal to heal himself, jumped into the air, curling into a ball. He bounced off of the mech, making it fall and continued repeatedly to boing up and down on him.
"Okay, that is amusing." Shadow commented, smirking slightly.

Dante kinda chuckled at Sonic and Metal. He then motioned for Sonic to get out of the way, as he was about to bring Rebellion down on Metal's head.

"GET THE HELL OFF ME, DAMMIT!" Metal lifted his leg as Sonic came down, kicking the mutant in the stomach. He then brought it down, sideways, smashing his flesh counterpart on the ground.
"OW!" Sonic yelped, falling on his back. He clutched his gut in pain. "Dang you're flexible!" He gasped.
(Course, that still leaves Metal open...*whistles innocently*)
