This round is Best/Worst Glass Cannon. A Glass Cannon is one who can deal quite a bit of damage but can not take damage well. They may die in one hit.

Best: Sara, she has access to Resire, Elite, and five movement stars and if all goes wrong, she has insta-high level staffs, which really all that matters in later game.

Worst: Dierdre, I think any FE fan can explain this one.

( Wahahaha, I get it, I didn't know Low HP was a part of the bargain. I just thought Low Defense growths were enough and my Raven never seems to grow them... bad RNGs maybe?)

Best: Lucius, not just because everyone says so, but because he's fantastic against the shaman spawns in his chapter. And then later on in the Pirate Ship, oh Lord, does he come in handy against the other magic users on the boss's side. He might even take on the boss with dat magic stat. You might wanna watch him around the melee units though, and keep Raven close for his defensive support boost. ;D

Worst: Ewan... 9/10 of my Sacred Stones resets were due to me trying to save him/raise him. As any magic user, his def is crap.

Raven's a glass cannon? 85% HP and 25% Def seems more than sufficiently bulky to me. Bulkier than half the cast, at least.

Best: Lucius

I was thinking Sara was also an excellent candidate, but she does come rather late in her game, whereas Lucius joins much sooner and can dodge just about everything that comes his way. C in staves upon promotion is quite nice, too.

Worst: Deidre

Fails. At. Life. Hurts you in more than one way. But I will grant that that Silence staff she comes with comes in handy. At least the daughter is good. Which reminds me that Yuria is also a good candidate for best with Resire, as well, but she's suffers from being a walking unit in a game where horses are the standard.

Best: Lucius. I may not use him that much, but he can be a good guy, especially with that Raven support.

Worst: Deidre

Yeah I said they would have to die in like one hit. Raven's HP growth is too high.

Hmmmmmmmm . . . Let's see . . .

Best: Lucius. So easily killed, especially if you don't pay attention, but more often than not (at least for me), he kills everything first.

Worst: After some thought, I was inclined to say Knoll, mainly because of his Luck, which is to say the lack of luck; he practically dies if you look at him funny. However, he does have a 70% HP growth according to Serenes, which is probably too high to count as a Glass Cannon, so I'm going to go with Micaiah. The girl. Needs. SPEED. AND HP. AND TO LEARN TO DODGE. Dying is bad for your health and mine as your tactician/controller, so stop it. DX

Just to make thing a bit clear hp Growth wise they will need an hp growth of 55% or lower to make the glass cannon status and the must also must start with low hp.

I have decided that since Sunday is Christmas I will update Best/Worst on Monday so that everyone including myself can enjoy Christmas. (Well at least those that celebrate it.)

Wow can't believe we are at the year mark now (one week was skipped that why we are at round 51). Granted I didn't think this was going to last a year.

Anyway moving right along will be the topic of Best/Worst Late Non-Final Boss.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 26, 2011 9:06 pm

Best: Going from all the games I played, I would have to say this one goes to either Nergal or Manfroy.

For Manfroy, he's pulling the strings behind the scenes to bring back the dark god Loptousou. He strings the events so well that it involves Sigurd's group as well with their campaign. Spoiler: After Deirdre joins up with Sigurd's group, she ends up getting kidnapped so she would have to marry Alvis and have kids with him. This brought out the Major Loptousou blood inside Yurius, who ended up being corrupted and being a nice final boss.

And of course there is Nergal, who corrupted the Black Fang with his morphs, took control of Dread Isle to gain the Dragon's Quintessence...I believe he is the best final boss.

Worst: There's a couple people that come to mind here: Lyon and Leidrick.

Lyon had the quest to bring back the dark god, but he was still able to fight (Just barely) against the darkness that it was showing his humanity. Of course the fight with him was just easy as well.

With Leidrick, all you had to do was have Leaf beat him up with the Blaggi Sword. You could have also used some other tactics. (Props goes to Galzuz and Mareeta fighting him with their support). And although he was a leader in the takeover of Thracia, it was all because he was a pawn in Manfroy's scheme.

My worst goes to Lyon though.

Best: Nergal. I considered Sephiran, but...not quite.

Worst: Lyon.

Best: FE3!Camus- To start, he's pretty much the only difficult boss in FE3B1, he gets the benefit of gate bonus to make him harder, as well as the strongest weapon in the entire game at his disposal. Quoted from my FE3 LP:

Quote:
Meet the hardest boss fight in Book 1, final boss included. Not only does he have silly stats (Dat Spd, sorry Doga, looks like we can't just Knight Killer it and call it a day), but he sits on a castle gate in this version to boost his Def and Avd more than it should be. Only 14 Atk you say? Well Gradivus- which is a 1~2 Rg weapon mind you offers 20 Mt onto that, so Mages will even have a hard time getting a cheap shot on him.

Why this makes him the best is the lack of difficulty in FE3B1, most bosses are 1~1 RG, so he is just a fantastic refreshment in a game where 95% of bosses, and enemies for that manner can be trivialized by Excalibur and Heroes with loloffense.

Worst: Trabant. Now, he is a fantastic character, I love him, no doubt. However, Leaf's revenge for various reasons seems rather.. watered down. To start, Trabant doesn't even bring the Gungnir to battle, which is just as underwhelming as if Luke Skywalker killed Darth Vader with his lightsaber, and all Vader was holding was a phaser. Secondly, where was the passion in the fight? It was more of "Hello, my name is Leaf, you killed my parents, prepare to die", but instead of having an awesome rapier fight across a castle, it's more of a "GO, LIGHT SWORD! Oh, you lose" which is a BIIIIIIG slap in the face for both characters.
Leaf- his revenge is but a minute detail in a map, and frankly, the reinforcements from the north are more important and a bigger fight, almost as if to say everyone just forgot that Leaf just fulfilled his life duty.
Trabant- need I say how much of a wuss he just looked like in light of trying to make his country bigger for god knows how long? Now Thracia will forever be known as that one kingdom that a sixteen year old solo'd.

So, storyline matters aside, I think Trabant is the worst, simply due to how weak statistically he was, and the fact that Leaf can solo him, and his army simply by standing on a mountain tile with his Light Sword.

Best→ Shihiram [Defending Talrega, FE9]

Very emotionally gripping chapter throughout. It highlights that not all Daiens are bad people, casting even the smallest amount of doubt upon your company as to whether or not you're doing the right thing, I think. It's not the most difficult boss to face, or the trickiest, but the storyline relevance and emotional punch makes it stand out to me the most.

Worst→ Lloyd-Linus [Final Chapter 1, FE7] It technically isn't a final boss because the Fire Dragon is the final boss!

One word.
