Natalia's snout was of...little use for a job such as this, to say the least but her eyes were up to par. They would be able to find her a familiar face.
That is, if there was one left to find.
"Hellu" The creature growled, stepping as lightly as she could manage--although with her weight and size one could only imagine what stepping heavily sounded like. Again the were-lemur seemed to have stumbled across another desolate landscape, one that was riddled with fresh prints but lacking the feet that made them. Her travels here had not been great, but they were enough to make the girl weak in the knees. She needed to rest for a moment, catch her breath, and then continue on.
Natalia waited for a response in the mean time, releasing soft whimpers into the cold air while her rump flattened out on the ground.

(( Haku has been here long enough to pass on, but will stay to keep Natalia company until she can too, along with any other stragglers who might pop in. :3 ))
What was with his mind today? You'd think the cold air and the brush with horrifyingly joyful trees would be enough to clear a guy's mind, but obviously not. By the time Haku had pulled himself together, he was alone. Yes, there were prints, but most were faded, some disappearing altogether as the snow fell. Stuck in his human form, his only heightened sense at this point were his ears, and nothing seemed to be around for miles . . . JOY probably was tampering with him again. He grumbled softly, gripping the flaming torch like a lifeline against the cold as he walked.
Really and truly, he found himself hoping the rest from his car were advancing without too many problems. And he didn't begrudge them for leaving him behind; after all, the slow only are burdens . . . The inugami cursed himself for having filled the role.
The fire was growing close to his hand again after a few minutes, and he grabbed another fallen branch to feed it to a new host. Doing so, his ears suddenly twitched towards a far-off sound.
". . . lu . . ."
He frowned, trying to pinpoint its location. It sounded familiar . . . ish. Deep. There came the sound of snow crunched underfoot, and when he focused upon the distant hill to the side of him, he saw a navy blue figure trudging forward. Large . . . bulky . . .
Ah! Something of a sight for sore eyes. "Natalia!" Haku shouted, a little surprised by the volume of his voice; he had been in silence for much too long. "This way!" So the wereghoul had managed to make her way out to the island - hopefully recooperated from her stay in her tent all that time.

Ten or so more minutes later and the monster would have been on her way down the slopes toward Christmas Town...but something caught her eye, and than a voice boomed against the silent backdrop. Turning her head, fire glowing in the distance matching that of her brilliant stare, Natalia rose up on her hind legs and then lifted to her toes in one fluid motion. "Hellu?" Her voice called again, squinting those eyes of hers to clear the mess of white from her sights.
Haku! She vaguely recalled his presence on the train, somewhat during their travels through the forest but was for sure comforted when his face became more pronounced and her recollections did the same. A pink tongue lolled excitedly to one side of her mouth while her legs could no longer stand the gap they shared. Closing in with long strides, the were-lemur came onto Haku like bugs on wind shields...
Only softer. Like she had done with Xi, her arms opened wide and wrapped around the boy with a sort of tenderness no ordinary beast would possess. "Hakuuu I am happy you here." Natalia's accent reigned heavily in her speech but the words were not lost entirely. She was pleased...and yet, still tired? Peeling away from the boil and rolling back on her heels, Natalia breathed a sigh of relief before speaking again.
"Where goes everyone else?" She knew their overall destination but…she hadn’t expected an island, so there were bound to be other surprises left to unfold.

The hug was . . . unexpected. Really it shouldn't have been, he'd seen her glue herself to Xi back in the forest. Haku managed to aim the torch away from the larger ghoul before either of them could catch fire, having also expected a rather bone-crushing reunion; he was pleasantly surprised.
Also, she was warm. Lucky/.
"I, ah, I'm not sure to be honest . . ." He indicated where he had been heading with his torch. "They were all here, our cart and some of the others. Then I dazed out from the cold, and the next thing I know I'm alone again. Glad to see you made it though."
Particularly because two was better than one in these unpredictable lands.
"But we know the final destination is Sandy Claws' workshop, so . . . I suppose if we follow what prints we can find and use our common sense, we'll catch up with the others eventually. Maybe if we get a little too JOYful, we'll know we're in the right direction?"

"I glad too" The beast groaned in delight, glancing off toward the direction in which he pointed.
Yet her goofy grin and elated demeanor dimmed some when the boy continued, and for once the creature looked every ounce of ugly she had in her. So the cart left yet another of its members behind, Haku's circumstance much more brow-raising than her own...but still. Natalia was not all too pleased to know that her troop would do such a thing, since it was not in her nature to abandon individuals and she assumed it was not in theirs as well. Thoughts proved taxing, and while the were-lemurs forehead furrowed in frustration, she hardly caught on to the rest of what he said.
"When I sees them, I tell them..." The words were out of place, what was meant to be an inward-conversation running off the tip of her tongue speedily. Then, as sudden as she had seemed to anger, the ghoul leaned in with sincerity in her big eyes.
"OH! OH! You okays? Where you fall, huh? I find good medicine! I find...bells?" Shuffling around, Natalia searched for her back of jingling things and shoved one claw in. Maybe there were some of those magic healing things inside...
Probably not.

"Hmm? Oh, no no, I'm fine now. Thank you," he insisted as Natalia scavenged for her pumpkin pills. "I learned the bells can heal someone if you ring them - I don't know if there's a limit, but I hope we won't have to know. Honestly the only damage I've sustained was from an alcoholic tree that scratched me, and I'm not wasting a good restore for that."
And it could have been much worse. Haku did not mention that it had been hitting on him, thinking he was a girl. There wasn't a need to mention too many details about a "noodle incident".
"And, ah . . . don't mind the separation part. I know you were a proponent for sticking together, but there's only so much we can do," he added, motioning for her to continue with him forward. "In a raid especially, waiting for too long can cost you. We'll catch up to them soon enough, I'm sure."
What an odd position! Haku never had thought of himself as a moral coach. An odd mission this was turning out to be . . .
"Did anything happen back there while you rested?"

" 'sure?" She questioned still, some what bothered by the 'cut' he acquired from a...did he say drunken tree? Natalia could not help but crack a smile at that. This land--oh what wonders it held.
Corralled forward by a simple gesture, the were-lemur knuckled her way to Haku's side before flattening each of her four palms against the soil in a steady strut. The thick tail she waved about stiffened some as the ghoul took notice of her surroundings, feeling the need to protect 'her own' once again. "I guess..." was her only response to the others and their actions. True was what Haku said, but right? Not to Natalia.
"And no, nothing. I wake up and all of yous gone. I just follow tracks." Her head twitched then, meant to look more like a pointed movement; the thickness of her shoulders made it difficult to crane her neck this way or that... " 'till now, nothing happened."
She then revisited his topic prior to this. "We get the toys, right Haku? We not too late?"

Before speaking, he spotted movement again at the corner of his eyes, and he brandished the torch threateningly only to see . . . nothing. Hear, yes. He heard a soft, nervous laugh. Snorting a little, Haku hastened them along, spotting in the distance a large building - their destination.
"No, I don't think we're too late," he answered. "But we must hurry."
Hurtling headlong into worse JOYs too, probably.
((Haku takes Natalia with him into Christmas Town! AWAY, YOU STRAGGLERS.))

The monster, a witness to the creatures of this 'Christmas town' should have taken Haku's reply with much more discontent--But Natalia was quite pleased, skipping a beat in her steps to mark her mild delight.
"Hurry, we hurry and make it to Santy Claws"
(OFF AND AWAY. With Haku.)

Eracs eventually came too. "Huh, what?" He remembered some explosions and oh, look. Where was he now? Wait, something is falling for the sky? OH, more of those peppermint point things. He grabbed seven of them and stashed them with his others. He scratched the back of his head. Looks like it was the Island of Misfit Toys he heard others talking about. From the looks no one else had fallen her yet so he waited. ((HP: 15, revived. Chose here because what are the chances everyone ended up on CCL, lawl))

All of sudden your pin starts tingling, and small sparks begin to fly from it. Is the stupid thing malfunctioning again?! The tingling sensation spreads throughout your entire body and you feel your self breaking apart. After what seems like an eternity compressed into a small moment, you find yourself once again whole and on very, very familiar grounds. The school grounds to be specific. Those with lungs take a deep breath and enjoy the sensation of inhaling fresh, crisp FEAR. The shifters find their forms once-again confined. The gnomes are there to meet you, but if you look up you might see the headmistress at her office window smiling down at you. A poster at each of the school doors reminds you to attend the annual school play. Quote: The OOC: Congrats everybody on Epic Battles! Romance! Drama! Loot! Really Questionable Fashion Choices! For those with enrolled or in the process of being enrolled, you also get growth points for your student if they were RP'd during this event! There are a couple quest fairy students on the way as a direct result of acitivity in both the event and thread, they will also receive growth points for this. This will only apply to those who are QF'd in THIS round, quest students who don't get faried this round will just have to enjoy their loot, memories, and the opprotunity to refine their characters. The Growth Point Break Down: If your student... Got on the Train: 3 points If they failed to get past the infirmary but still RP'd: 2 points Got to the Festive Forest: 3 points Reached any of the Zone 2 areas: 3 points Posted in ChristmasTown: 3 points Challenged one of the Santa Scouts: 3 points Fought a ninja: 1 point The maximum points your student can get is 16! The least is 3!
