Not remembering anything at all aside from a good feeling and how it ached to stand for long wasn't satisfying in the least for Mala. It was bothering her to no end. So, she wanted a form of closure for the night. "Can you close your eyes?" she asked.

Mala took a deep breath to calm herself before she leaned in for a kiss - keeping it for a couple secconds before she backed off with much embarassment. "I-I'm sorry I did that! I..I was just so angry for not remembering anything about my official first time and I wanted some closure and..." she rambled, too embarassed with herself to know when to stop.

Van was surprised at first, eyes widening as any sane person would from a surprise kiss, but it was quick to melt away before Mala began rambling. He cut her off though by pulling her into a hug. Hell, she kissed him out of nowhere, what harm could a hug do? "It's fine." he said making no eye contact, his cheeks turning rosy again in embarassment as he was not normally a soft and emotional man. Funny what one woman and her kid brother could do to a guy. "Just...forget about it, if that's what helps." He had no idea what he was doing at this point, much less if he had the guts to spill now or not.

"I can't, though." Mala murmured, too embarassed to look up by now. "I'm sorry for being such an idiot and freaking out, I really am..." Still, she clung close and didn't look up. It'd be too embarassing otherwise...

"Hm. That makes Angel sad." He pointed to her exaggerated pout. "Not that I don't understand it, Ceri."
Suddenly, Angel heard Van and Mala, propelled herself and squealed to their room, where she stopped and gently knocked.

((Oh, come on They're having a moment! And if she wasn't at their room already then how did she hear them??))
Van's heart started to race as he took a deep breath and he let her go. "Mala....I...." Of course, the nearing squeals of Angel couldn't have come at a worse time. "Maybe if we stay really quiet she'll go away...." he whispered to Mala as he looked over to the door.

By now, Mala was already casting a spell of moderate locking on the door. She'd rather not have anyone break into the room and make things worse...like earlier. Mala glanced back at him for the first time in awhile, smiling brightly to go along with that rosy blush of hers. The spell made her feel a little more secure for the moment, at least.

"Now you see why I wanna ditch 'em." Van muttered, really starting to get annoyed by Angel's antics and the lack of privacy she provided. "Any chance you've got a sound-proofing spell in your bag of tricks?" he said looking back at Mala. At this rate he might not get another chance the way Angel gave them no peace. Even if they did manage to lose the group, they'd still have Riley.

Mala nodded, going on to cast a soundproof barrier around the room for the moment being. It would be somewhat draining, but she was sure she could handle it for the time. Once she cast the spell she immediately allowed herself to speak. "There. She shouldn't bother us for awhile, at least. If she does break through, I suggest we run like bloody hell." Mala said with a soft chuckle.

"Agreed." Van said with a small smile, already opening the window for an emergency escape route. He sat back on the bed next to Mala, letting silence sink in again as he pondered whether or not to continue despite the broken mood caused by Angel's interruption. He'd already started, sort of, so no point in chickening out now. Of course, they'd somehow managed to dodge a bullet after drunken sex, so the effect on their relationship wasn't exactly something he was terribly worried about, much less anything he thought of. "This is probably going to sound completely random, but I think I finally figured out why I decided to stay down here instead of rejoining the other gods...." he began as he stared down at his feet. Real guts there. Of course, his face still showed he was a little flustered, a little embarrassed to be spilling all this so suddenly. "Before people either praised me as a god or gave me dirty looks as a thief. But now I'm just...me. It's been a while since I got treated like a regular guy, so it's kind of refreshing....I think....that's why I like you...." he hung his head a bit, letting some of his hair fall down in front of his face and hide his red cheeks and embarrassed eyes. "I always thought godhood was as good as it got, but you brought me back down to earth....Christ, I'm bad at this...." he said looking away from Mala and scratching the back of his head.
((All that's missing is the horribly cliche'd, if not out of character, "You complete me!" xd ))

Mala quietly listened to everything Van had said, blushing madly by the time she heard the final bit. "I...I..." she began, averting her gaze for a moment as she tried to think of what to say before she continued. If he was going to give an embarassing sentiment, she might as well do so too. "You...aren't the only one. I was always so high strung before, almost never thinking without much seriousness and worrying about what could go wrong instead of just living life like I should. You taught me how to take things easilly, how to relax a little without going too far." she admitted, scooting closer so she could wrap an arm around the god. "Thank you..."

((Nope, looks like Gaia's having a seizure....Let me tell you, when I hit 'send' on that last post and the error came up, I had combination heart attack/eye twitching rage in fear that it didn't submit and that I'd have to type it all out again. Thankfully, it didn't come to that.))
Van glanced down at Mala's arm before looking back at her with mild surprise before his expression melted into relief and happiness. He sighed and rested his head against hers. "I'm pretty sure this makes us lovesick idiots. The kind that are never going to live it down." he joked slightly, knowing Riley was going to have a field day with this.

Mala laughed softly, knowing very well that they wouldn't get a break from bloody hell any time soon. "Normally, I would suggest taking away the fuel for the fire, but that'd be way harder than it sounds." she said, pretty sure that she wouldn't be able to pull such a feat off.
