Whoa whoa whoa Sage... I'm just saying it was alright in how the beginning of the movie at least loosely followed the storyline of Wolverine from the comics. Deadpool was, I admit, a fail, and when they announced that they were going to do his own spin-off, I nearly face-palmed.
But what I don't get is why they didn't do the alternate ending of Wolverine? I have the DVD and instead of the total crap "shot him in the head with an adamantium bullet to erase his memory" ending, there was an alternate ending where Wolverine agreed to get his memory erased. I mean, that would have at least made the ending agreeable, not totally repulsive.
I just wished that in First Class they would do the ACTUAL original X-Men (you know, Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast, and Jean Grey). Instead they're doing a bunch of characters nobody cares about.

The beginning of the movie barely followed the comic book storyline. They made him 50+ years older in the movie. He never fought in the American Civil War because he was not even born yet. Wolverine and Sabertooth are not even related, and Thomas Logan was supposed to resemble Wolverine, not his brother(in the comics' case, Dog). Rose, John Howlett Sr., Dog(well, in this case they replaced him with Sabertooth), and Smitty were all omitted; all of them important figures in Wolverine's baclstory.
Don't even get me started on what they did to Team X, Silver Fox, and William Stryker.
Were it up to me, Origin(the Wolverine comic, not the movie) would have never been published. Part of what made him interesting was the mystery surrounding his past, and they took that away with a six issue mini.

The xmen first class movie is based sadly on the first class title that came out in recent times. And by recent times I mean in the last 5 to 6 years. Not from when Xmen actually started. So really my hopes are not in that movie. But as comic movies go I have learned to ignore what I know of the comics and just treat it as it's own universe. Yes they ******** s**t up. xmen 3 was a god awful waste of a movie. Origins yes it was only okay from an action movie stand point no matter how they ******** up character and even their own movie continuity.. I can't even say that about final stand was good from an action movie stand point. So honestly to even try comparing movie to comics is a waste of time cause they are never going to stay accurate to the comics. Even when supposed uber comic nerd Brian Singer was directing. Though X men three would of been better if not directed by the reject directer from Superman Returns when Singer was asked to direct that and marvel wouldn't wait the three months he asked for him to be finished with Superman.
As far as the other comic movies coming out I am not impressed. The only thing Captain America has going for it for me is the epic win of Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull. I am expecting nothing but fail from Chris Evans (the guy who played human torch) will be as Captain America. Thor look alright I liked the trailer but not holding out to much hope though I do like the cast.

X-Men: First Class still had the original line-up though, with few alterations and guest appearances.
I've got absolutely nothing against comic book movies going against continuity.
Iron Man was extremely inaccurate, it was still a damn good movie though. Same with Iron Man 2. Incredible Hulk went heavily against continuity, and it wasn't a bad movie. Wanted was almost completely changed from the comic book it was based on, it was still a good movie. At least half the Kick-a** storyline was completely changed, and I'd dare say it's the best damn superhero movie ever made(yeah, I TOTALLY just said Kick-a** was better than the Dark Knight). Same goes for V for Vendetta, The Crow, Blade(the first one, the rest were crap), and the Batman reboot movies.
The only good comic book movie I can think of that was completely accurate in every single minute detail to the comic storyline is Sin City, as that was literally a word-for-word adaption.

I see where you're going Kai. To compare the comics to the movies is like comparing apples to oranges. Same goes for books to movies and so on. You're going to find stuff wrong, no matter what you do. If something is actually fully true to its original material, it'd be sort of a waste to watch, don't you think? You'd already know what happens, and the movies give us a chance to see something different.
It's sort of like what they're doing with the new Star Trek films. It's a completely new alternate reality, and things are gonna be different. And they can totally get away with it too, since they literally explain it within the dialogue of the movie.

I like them to at least stay true to important things, though. I did like the X-Men movies, and honestly think that the iron Man movies have been the best Marvel has put out. Fantastic four (both) were just bad movies, as was Wolverine. Unfortunately for Wolvie, he also suffered major deviations in characters and plot that I can't forgive. I'm not looking forward to Captain america because it just looks mediocre, but I'll probably watch First Class even though I'm already upset about the characters. ...and I can't agree with the assertion that you wouldn't want to know what is going to happen. Everybody knew Snape was gonna kill Dumby in the Potter movie, no? It was those major leave-outs in plot and focus on bullshit teen romance that ruined that one. I knew what would happen in the first, yet I loved it. The only thing i could ever remember saying that they missed was the bit about the potions and Hermione figuring out which would lead them on. (sorry I talk about potter in a Marvel Guild. lol.) In other news, my team placed fourth out of 45 at the competition Saturday, and are vying for a movie deal: Please Don't Stalk Us. Also, Tuesday I'll try and get out a post, but if it doesn't happen then, it won't happen until the weekend. I know Narcissa addressed Maddy about helping someone, so if i don't post, just side step me. I've a lot going on this week, including an overnight trip to Philly then Valley Forge for a competition with my government class. If I'm lucky I'll get to talk to and tell off my senator and Congressman, since they should be there.

I just despise them making video-game movies, they've screwed them all up and if I ever happen to walk into one of those directors on the street they will be punished.
While I didn't like really any of the Marvel movies I can watch them because of the fact that Marvel has so many different universes. However I cannot watch the Harry Potter movies as they make me Nerd rage.
On a separate topic I wonder if Marvel will be making an answer to DC Universe online, only better because DCUO isn't very good.
On a separate, separate note; Happy Venereal Disease Valentines Day Singles Awareness Day

Eh. Personally, I loved DCUO. It's the only MMO I've ever played in my life that didn't bore me to tears after about an hour, WoW included.
Keep in mind I'm saying this as a Marvel fanboy and an avid DC hater, as well as someone who's played the game since day 1 of the closed PC beta.
