   Lucy---&--- Lucinda---&--- MercutioLucy sighed as she filled out some paperwork on the front desk.
Being the new Chief, she had to deal with a lot of s**t.
When the bell near her was rung, she turned her head and looked at the Gardevoir before her.
Hot damn, she was pretty.
"Whatcha' need, kid?" The Weavile asked.
Mercutio sat on a chair near the resting room, where they were keeping Alfred.
The Gallade had brought the Gardevoir here after he passed out.
The only reason Mercutio was still there was to guard the door while his sister arrived.
With a flash, Lucinda appeared.
"You need to talk to him..." Mercutio said, taking a step away from the door.
Lucinda looked down with a sigh and nodded.
She moved to the door and opened it up, stepping inside.

"Hello! I was wondering if you had room for any more interns?"
The Gardevoir clasped both hands over her chest and smiled as brightly as she could despite her nerves doing backflips.
Her golden gaze kept flickering from the Weavile to just down the hall where she saw two Ralts evolution like herself talking.
The female vanished into a room, but...oh...a Gallade?
He had interesting coloring and nice eyes.
Alfred was sitting up, blind eyes staring blankly ahead, apparently in a bit of a daze.
The door's creaking hinges made him glance over and throw out his psychic to see who it was.
Ah fate, you are a cruel mistress.
"What do you want?", he asked dully.

Lucy---&--- Lucinda---&--- MercutioThe Weavile thought for a moment.
"Yeah, we got openings," She said, looking Liena up and down.
Damn, she was really pretty.
"I dunno', you look like a Pedes kinda' gal to me," Lucy then determined.
She then noticed Liena's eyes weren't particularly on her.
She followed the Gardevoir's gaze to that Agent Gallade.
"Ey', don't bother with those creeps. He probably couldn't give a damn about you," She stated with a frown.
Lucinda sighed and closed the door behind her.
She turned her neon green gaze over to Alfred.
"I want you to listen to me..." She said softly.
"You seriously have no clue how guilty I'm feeling right now."
She looked to the side and wiped her face with her hand.
"If I hadn't done what I did, then you wouldn't have stormed off to the Plains, and that Weavile probably wouldn't have showed up..."
She felt she had basically indirectly caused the death of Alfred's brother.
Mercutio sat down on one of the chair, murmuring things to himself.
He then felt the presence of eyes on him.
He bright green eyes looked up and locked with Liena's.
The Gallade cocked an eyebrow and removed his sunglasses to reveal his eyes completely.

Liena's head snapped away the second the Gallade looked up and her face went beat red.
"Ah-ah, yes! I love children!" Well, at least ones that werent Terrance.
At Lucy's words on the dual type down the hall, the Gardevoir frowned and chanced one more glance down at him.
Well, he was very handsome, but...she did feel an aura of 'stay away' just pulsating off him.
He was still upset, still angry with her over what she had done but regardless, Alfred frowned as she spoke. "...dont be stupid. That had nothing to do with you. Those moron fighting types were making enough of a ruckus to attract every Pokemon in the re-reh..." The Gardevoir stuttered, making a barely audible sobbing sound before completely breaking down into tears.
The first time he'd cried in five years.
He curled inward defensively, arms around his head and knees up to his chest.

Lucy---&--- Lucinda---&--- MercutioLucy nodded and handed Liena a form.
"Alright, just fill this out. When you're done, report to Dr. Tinypaw. Or see him whenever you feel like it, I don't give a s**t. He's our attending in Pedes," She explained with a nod.
The Weavile then turned around and left, still going over in her head how unnecessarily beautiful that Gardevoir was.
At the first signs of sobbing, Lucinda immediately found herself at Alfred's side.
Her arms were wrapped around him.
"Alfred... I'm so sorry... Y-You know I am..." She sniffled.
Great, now tears were beginning to form in the corners of her eyes as well.
Another eyebrow went up as that Gardevoir gave Mercutio another glance.
He cleared his throat and leaned forward from where he sat.
'Can I help you...?' He said telepathically to the Gardevoir.
Hmph, he noticed quite a difference in appearance in this Gardevoir from normal-ish ones like his sister.
She seemed more... Graceful.

Alfred turned, leaning forward so his forehead was against her shoulder and then wrapped both arms around her waist as he continued to sob.
Almost instant forgiveness.
He never gave second chances to anyone, he didnt believe in that. He believed that if someone truly cared they wouldnt need a secnd chance to begin with, but...but this time...this time he would.
Only because Lucinda was his l'âme soeur or at least he believed so.
Liena gave a sharp 'meep' at the psychic question and nearly jumped a foot in the air.
The only thing that kept her from doing so was the chain connected to the pen she had been using to write with.
The Gardevoir let the writing instrument go and ducked into a quick bow.
"I-I'm so s-sorry! It's n-nothing really! I was just...I was..." Her face went red and she started giggling loudly from her hsatterd nerves.
Oh geez.

Lucinda---&--- MercutioLucinda cried a little and embraced Alfred.
"It'll never happen again... I swear..." She cooed.
The female kissed Alfred on the top of his head and rubbed his back, hoping to comfort him.
Mercutio let out a 'hmph' and leaned back in his chair.
"You were just what?" He asked out loud.
It was his nature to interrogate everyone.
It was in his training.
He cleared his throat and stood up.
The Gallade knew that now they were probably staying here, he needed to become less of an Agent.
"I'm sorry, I'm a little rough around the edges when it comes to socializing," He said with a cough.

Well, she had best hope it didnt happen again. He wasnt sure he could protect her a second time. His head was pounding with psychic messages, angry words from you-know-who, throwing a complete fit.
He'd need to come up with some excuse later.
Alfred sighed, emotional overoad passing by, both arms tightened around her waist and he pulled her down with him so the two were laying side by side.
Ma amour, if you ever tell a soul I am capable of producing tears...I will punish you~"
Liena clasped both hands over her mouth, oh goodness. He sounded angy, was he going to attack her or something?
She relaxed slightly, eyes widening at his next words and a laugh bubbled up much to her surprise.
"It-its fine...I have the same problem, well...it...it's more of me being shy than...than um...too bold..."

Lucinda---&--- MercutioLucinda gazed lovingly at Alfred as she lay them.
"Not a word~" She purred.
She then shifted forward and kissed Alfred on this lips.
She was once afraid she would never have that luxury anymore.
Mercutio cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head.
"Heh, I've been trained to get as much information out of anyone I talk to..." He explained.
"You, uh... You work here?" He then asked, looking at the papers Liena was signing.

Now, to think of some excuse about the tracking device to tell Teacher. He wasnt keen on involving Lucinda in his thoughts so he kept it to his self.
After a moment an idea came to him and he smiled. That would work, she would be safe then.
Arceus, sometimes he wondered if it'd be best to drop the whole Rebirth project entirely and leave it to the others to deal with, but no, he was far too involved to just walk away.
Finally he frowned once more, thoughts moving back to the images of his brother slicing his own limbs off.
"Not sure why I care, we never got along anyways, but...he...was just as scared of them as I was...ces démons."
Realizing she still held the papers, the Gardevoir blinked and set them down.
"Ah-y-yes! Well, I...I will be! I have to-um-talk to someone first...a Tinypaw...I think..." Her voice began trembling more violently the more she spoke.
He was so intimidating! Such a piercing stare!

"I suppose... It's because he's your brother..." She suggested.
"Whether you never got along or not, he's your blood...
The female kissed the male on the cheek.
"We'll make Nico pay, I promise."
Noting Liena's trembling voice, Mercutio teleported next to Liena and looked her up and down.
"Are you sick?" He asked.
As if he knew what he was doing, his lifted her hair and inspected the back of her neck.
"No bites..." He muttered.

The Gardevoir grimaced, one hand moving to either side of her face.
"Arceus, I wish I could see you right now." He slipped her glasses off and tossed them onto the edge of the bed.
"Ces beaux yeux, it is a shame I will never see them again."
Alfred tilted his head to the side and those eyelids fluttered open for a second, before he was forced to close them again.
Nope, his eyes were too badly ruined to even open anymore.
When the Gallade suddenly appeared so close and even went as far as to touch her, Liena let out a shriek and dropped her papers before turning around and swinging her open palm back at him for a slap.
It was instinct.

"My eyes aren't the only beautiful thing about me, I like to think~" She purred before kissing him again.
Mercutio's head turned to the side as he was slapped.
"... Ow..." He muttered.
He lifted a hand and rubbed his face.
"That's quite an arm you got there," The Gallade said with a chuckle.
Usually, if someone slapped him, he would have gone Primapeshit.
For some reason, this time he remained calm.

"Exclure, dont. Dont do that, dont feel sorry for me. I've lost only a minor thing compared to what I felt when I thought I'd lost you."
He pulled her close, prolonging the kiss and wondered if there was any way to rent a hospital room~
Since it seems they may as well stay here for now anyways.
He didnt think he could deal with any guild nonsense and there was still the matter of Artemis. That Lunatone was on to him, he would rather avoid her.
"Well, I love all of you, but I say your eyes because if I said what part I truly loved you might became irate with me~"
Liena gave a tiny gasp of surprise.
"I'm so s-s-sorry! I didnt mean-I didnt- You just startled me!"
From what Lucy said, she was quite prepared to teleport away should he become violent but that was not the case.
"You arent mad?"
Was this the same Gallade she'd seen fighting so violently before?

"My brother is still really paranoid about our relationship..." She explained softly.
"Eventually, we're gonna' have to explain everything to him. I can't mentally block him from everything forever."
She hoped he wouldn't freak out too badly when he found out Alfred had deflowered her.
Mercutio cleared his throat nervously.
"Well, normally I would have gone a little crazy, but..."
He scratched his head.
"I quit the Agency my sister and I came from, so I need to actually learn how to socialize. I figure the way to start is to stop being such an a*****e..."
