Artemis nodded. " For two reasons. One because I'm curious and two which is the most important reason to keep you away from Apollo until he's in a better mood. I can only make him behave for so long."

Hermes quickly flew out of Olympus, easily finding the group of mortals that the immortals had such interest in. Setting himself on the ground at a distance, Hermes disguised himself as a travelling bard and began to approach the group of mortals.

Sage glanced over at Flicker as she began to go back through the book to see if there were any words Delilah need to say.

Jasmine tried to read over Sage's shoulder for a minute or two before turning back to the sacrificial items. Glancing up at the horizon for a moment, she bit her lip and frowned. "Is there...somebody or just a trick of the light?" Gesturing slightly to the general area where she saw a hazy figure, she shook her head. "Probably just my mind. Nevermind."

Flicker looked around confused, untill she noticed that Sage was holding her book. "...Well, did you find anything?" she asked, somewhat disgruntled that her friend had taken her book without asking.

From a distance, Hermes' disguise was pretty normal looking. A generalised mediterranean appearance, brownish clothes, could pass for middle-aged disguise. As he came closer, Hermes thought of a name for his disguise. "Perhaps I shall call myself Prymneus... Nah.. Maybe Stratios.. Yeah, that'll do for now." he thought to himself. Hermes' eyesight, far better than any hawk, saw the shapeshifter, Delilah was between forms, and looked like Echidna, which surprised him at first. Nevertheless, he continued onward, a good quarter of a mile away from their tents on the plain.

Sage shook her head. " I don't see anything. Maybe you'll find something this book is basically turning my head in circles. Give me a fantasy or scifi novel over this any day." She told Flicker while tossing the book back to her friend.

Putting the dagger down carefully, Delilah snuck into the tent where Arwa was. Asleep, thank goodness. Hopefully he'd sleep all the way through the sacrifice. Tiptoeing out of the tent, Delilah sat down away from the cattle. Hopefully this would allgo smoothly and Pan would be happier than a young child with a new toy. Hopefully. "How about I 'wing it'?" she asked. "I'm sure if it sounds authentic and from the heart, Pan won't mind if we don't get it perfect."

Sage raised an eyebrow. " I suppose it couldn't hurt as long as he gets what he wants."

Hermes was a few hundred feet away from the group. He considered going invisible and sneaking amongst them- it would be more interesting for both parties, but he decided instead to stay visible and rose his arm to wave at them. "Ho there!" he called out stopping before he came too close, "Are you Grecian refugees?" He already knew the answer, but decided to truly become 'Stratios the bard'.

Sage glanced over at the man and promptly turned back to her friends. It was one thing to talk to a few gods it was a whole other matter to talk to a stranger who was human. She would let her friend's do the talking and the introductions.

Delilah looked at Sage from the corner of her eye. She really was shy of new people. It probably came from the experimenting that they had done on Sage. "We are travellers from a distant land." Delilah called out to the man. "Who are you, stranger?"
Hermes almost smiled at the girl's attempt to remain as silent as possible about their identities. "My name is Stratios the Arcadian. I am a bard by trade." He called out. "May I share the company of yourselves for the day? I have been travelling far since the morning last and have not seen human company since I passed Troy many days ago."

Sage looked at Delilah and the others and shrugged her shoulders. It didn't bother her too much if the guy stuck around. She wouldn't be talking any but it wouldn't be that big of a deal. The others got used to her doing and Flicker would probably find something for Sage to entertain herself with while she kept quiet.

Delilah looked to each and every face before deciding, "Sure." she called out, then watched the man approach their group.
Taking a seat by thr fire, Hermes disguised as Stratios, took in his surroundings. "Which of the gods are you sacrificing to?" he asked, when he noticed the altar and all the preparations. So they were about to appease Pan... That'd please Ares. Hermes thought to himself.

Sage smiled politely at the man but didn't answer his question before she turned her attention to her hair. She absently finger combed it before she split it into three parts and started to braid her hair to keep it out of the way for a while. She'd twist it up after she finished the braid.
