"It has been my families birth right, Litany gave it up when she joined the Akatsuki and now it is my turn." He held out the sword to her,"have you ever seen a sword made to protect and not to kill." The sword in her face was perfectly crafted the edge was smoothed and the blade was reversed to face the wielder,"This sword will not kill, it refuses to as does the wielder of this blade. I do not know the full extent of its powers, it is called by the name of Kagami Yaiba or mirror blade. It is a legend among the world and even its true potential is only legend among the Okazi, no one has ever unlocked its full strength and the blade as chosen me. It vibrated as he held it under her eyes, this is not like before, this is my burden it was branded upon me when I was given the family name. I leave my children here not of selfish reasons but to protect them from myself, there is no telling what training I will endure or how dangerous it will be to those around me. They can come see me any time they wish as they are also of Okazi blood, they know the danger I am about to partake in and Sotaru I know would never let his sister be in harms way." He paused and sheathed his blade turning around,"Shes blind you know, shes developed and nervous and shy personality she trusts little to no one."
He turned around addressing both of them,"It is no longer an option I know what I must do and putting it off is only a worse sin than what I have already committed by betraying all of you...." He swiftly and effortlessly swung the Sakabato for a clean cut to Burians arm it sliced through the flesh and his body felt the impact yet as he fell back there was no cut. "Do you see my point now, this weapon prevents war, it has laid dormant for thirty years and now it is my turn to bring it to life again. The Kagami Yaiba is peace and there is no exception to that, which is why I must leave as soon as I can, for hundreds of battles could be fought before I return and if I do not leave it is only a waste of my being. I am Qastor Okazi the head of the Okazi family and wielder of Kagami Yaiba, it is my burden to fight for the new era." His eyes flashed pity and contempt on each of them as his fist hit the desk,"How can you all be so selfish and naive when things are right in front of your face. It is my responsibility to procure a new era between the five nations as it has been my ancestors, you expect me to turn my back on everything just because of your selfish ideas!?"

Artemis took Hikaru and tried to soothe him but her temper got the better of her and she blew it when she saw the demonstration of the sword,"You are ridiculous Qastor! You think we are selfish?! We are concerned about you and your safety and your obsession with this martyr act! its because you changed and leave whenever you damn feel like it! Do you ot realize what your self-loathing lifestyle has had on other people? People who care and love you?! no more talk about repaying my sins and everything! Sure you did some bad crap but you should not be so damn hard on yourself and inflict pain and sufferage on yourself, its not healthy... its stupid and pathetic.... you have changed Qastor... its like I don't even know you anymore."she said the last part quietly and it had a lot of sadness and hurt in it. She rocked Hikaru back and forth to stop him from crying which worked as he played with her shirt as she glared at Qastor. She couldn't believe him, he changed and she did not like this Qastor one bit.

Rin paused, completely and utterly shocked that he was going away to train with a blunt sword for thirty years. However, what really struck her was the fact that he was going to leave his son and blind daughter behind without any sign of remorse. She did not speak again until he had finished, pure fury roaring up. "...Selfish?" She asked quietly, disbelieving that anybody could be so incredibly stupid. Apparently, they could be. "You think that us thinking about the well-being of your family and this world is selfish!?" Her voice was rising again and she snapped in a way that she had not in years. Her fingers immediately went to the thick scarf around her neck, yanking it off angrily. Deep black markings could be seen surrounding her neck and they continued downwards until disappearing under her low collar. Yet the largest marking could still be seen faintly around her heart. "I don't recall ever showing these to you Qastor, but you know what they are?" She pulled up her sleeves and two identical seals could be seen on her wrists. Raising her palm, she forced him to look at the marks. "This is what came from the so-called 'new era' you're talking about. Those ancestors that procured that era of peace did this to every leader of the villages, as well as the strongest shinobi there were if they could be hunted down. You have no idea what they are, do you?" Her expression darkened again. "Allow me to enlighten you on what your bloody era did. Everyone died. These seals kill their host if they did not comply to the demands of that one person who went down the same path you're about to go down. You're an Ozaki. I thought you would have known what happened to Ciara, or would you like me to tell you instead? How they gutted her while she was alive? How they made her suffer to the point where death was a merciful release? You dare call my ideas selfish when I've had to do this to myself in order to protect all of you!? You dare call my ideas selfish when I sealed the Gobi into myself before it wiped out Vapour!? WHAT KIND OF NAIIVE CHILD ARE YOU!? YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SELFISH IS UNTIL YOU GO AND DRAG OTHER PEOPLE DOWN INTO YOUR SACRIFICES!" She roared, pulling her wrist back and roughly hiding the seals again. Rin was nowhere near through with him yet, but she could not afford to go on. The jinchuriki was losing control, so she firmly suppressed the urge to strike her old pupil and spoke in a strained voice. "These are your kids we're talking about. They don't deserve this. No kid deserves to be separated from their parent even if visiting is possible. Don't drag them down because you've had a bout of self-righteousness all of a sudden. You have no understanding whatsoever of how this world works and you never will until you've experience hell and back in the form of a 'new era'."

"It is not a choice it never was, my ancestors betrayed the sword and they lost themselves to it. They were not worthy, they used the sword to gain power, they did not procure a new era they incited a past era of pain and destruction. It is they who first brought the curse of age to the women of the Okazi, it is because of their acts that all our female children die at the age of 18 a tragic unforgettable death. Ciara, Sayra, Litany who was only brought back by my wifes final legacy the Soul Stop, even Raine is near her end early at the age of 16. Only one who is true to the path can unlock his full potential and only that one person can break the curse on not only his family but on everyone his ancestors have scarred. This blade will not kill, nor will I, it is no longer an option in order to reverse what plagues this world and my people and.... my loved ones...." He had seen the marks though, at a young age, they brought nightmares until he remembered what they were...."Even those marks would be reversed..... the bijuu would become tame in and out of their hosts." He opened the cap at the bottom of the hilt and handed it to Rin,"maybe this will show you how my ancestors betrayed the path. They were sealed inside the Kagami Yaiba, forever cursed to endure the pains of the new era, they will never be freed with the new era, they have given up their chance to live within it."

Buraian laughed at Qastor as he hung his head almost. "Qastor Okazi...the moment you step down that path and forsake everything...the Qastor I know is dead." he stated plainly as he walked over to Hikaru and watched him play. "You know...I want to see Hikaru grow...to live, I want to be with my wife...not only for myself but to protect them. When I was younger..." he paused turning back to both Rin and Qastor. "I wanted to be just like each of you, I wanted to be the Mizukage...I figured that they were the one person who was strong enough to change the world." he paused again this time turning to Rin who had shown the seals. "I never knew...of the things you two went through...and I didn't understand why I should protect someone...then...I fell in love, and now I have a kid...yes...it may be selfish Qastor...but...it's worth it. They taught me what sacrifice is, and I would sacrifice myself for them at any moment, and yet here you do the opposite. YOU WANT TO SACRIFICE EVERYTHING...FOR YOUSELF!" he shouted in a roar of anger causing Hikaru to begin to cry. "Qastor...when you protect a village or a family member you think only of them...this makes you be the man I admired, however if you leave this village, if you go to 'change' the world and bring an era of peace...you will become selfish. They say absolute power corrupts absolutely." Buraian took a small breath to calm himself. "Right now...in your hands you hold a weapon unlike any other...but that's all it is...a weapon, one doesn't need to kill...to become an evil man...in fact the most evil men in this world are those who change everyone to their views, those who are so selfish as to think that they alone can bring peace and sacrifice others to do so. Your 'justice' will sacrifice your family, it will sacrifice everyone in this room...and all for your own goals. To think...I thought you wise...only now do I see...THE SPOILED CHILD YOU ALWAYS WERE.." he stated with a more assertive tone. "Your attack on the cloud village may have been influenced by the elders, but it was you quitting that lead to the downfall of Mist...I should know...Raine was the next Mizukage....she struggled with her demon...and then when she finally needed to move on she gave the position to me...and I have struggled ever since to bring it back to its prime." he stated talking to both of them in a way. "I no longer envy the power you hold Qastor, you can keep it...but if I have to...I WILL STRIP YOU OF IT AND MAKE YOU SEE THE LIGHT MYSELF!" he yelled as he showed Qastor the large bruise the strike had left on his arm. "That blade is still a weapon...a worse one then I have known in a long time...simply because it doesn't kill it makes one suffer, and turns it's wielder into a power-hungry fool." he stated going over to soothe his child allowing him to play with his hand.

Artemis hugged Hikaru close to her and kissed him on the head, calming him down while he played with Buraian's hand, she placed her hand on his bruises and healed them,"There is no such thing as a peaceful weapon, it goes against its nature. No weapon, no matter how powerful can bring about peace, it only leads to more conflicts an wars... what you are talking about can never happen in this world of ours...a weapon can bring about change but that change is unstable and is likely to change shortly. Who are you anyway? The Qastor I remember would not wallow in self-pity and pratically ignore those he cares about...you are a stranger."she said in a deadly tone, she glared at him, she hated him now... he betrayed her again and ruined her trust and respect. Hikaru made a whimpering sound as he curled into Artemis' bosom, buring his face in it, Artemis' stroked him calming him down until he was fast asleep.

"You still dont understand none of you do, I must leave this village because of the power I wield," he held the sword up high. "What do you think would happen if I fought for one village an one alone, it is the same as storing a nations wealth in one city. If that city crumbles the nation falls and yet if that city uses its power it can over take the nation. I will fight for no one, I will change no one, I will fight for the new era so the people I want to protect, the people you want to protect do not have to worry about losing the ones closest to them, so children can grow up with their parents. I do not know how to accomplish this great feat, nor do I know how long it will take, but I refuse to result to control as my ancestors have done. Control will never bring a new era I could control just as easily by killing as by not killing, control kills in itself, it kills others and it kills the controller." He sighed,"I understand where you all are coming from, but non of you are even trying to grant me the same favor. I know not this swords full potential just as I know not how it will achieve this goal, I just know that it is as I am and that there was never a choice from the beginning. It must be accomplished even in my death, it will not be a sacrifice for one but for all, I am not a god for even gods claim control."

(Okay I didnt mean for you guys to go over board... I also take it none of you have ever read Rurouni Kenshin, you would get what I am saying a lot better. And Kenji the move I used on you would not have left a bruise either, it was a special technique that cuts and reforms instantly with out damaging or marking.)
Also: The whole New Era thing is not literal its a figure of speech in Rurouni Kenshin used to define fighting for the futures of those he cares for.

Now he was blaming this on some curse? Qastor was far from understanding. She did not take the hilt, disgusted enough that he thought that this was some sort of compensation for what they had done. "Were you not listening to a single word I said? You cannot remove these seals, you cannot tame the biju and you cannot bring about a new era. That ideal killed Ciara in the worst way possible. That era took away just about everyone I considered a friend. That new era forced me to restart my life over three times already. What other brilliant ideas could you possibly have that won't end up ruining our lives?" The last part was more sarcasm than anything else, but she was speaking the absolute truth. "You cannot change wills, or change things that are set into stone. Your wish to do so will kill everyone. Ciara wasn't killed by some Ozaki curse. She was killed because someone had the bright idea to place the nations under a peaceful rule by making the leaders agree. She died from the same seals I have because she rose up against the person that you are becoming. The only thing I can say is that I pity the first Hokage for being forced to watch all these events repeat again. The day when the predecessor becomes the same murderer is a sad day indeed." She felt older every time it came to this. If this really was what he was determined to do, then she would be forced to beat him back down to reality. At least Buraian and Artemis may be of some help. "I'll look after your children if you leave, but they will know everything, including the ridiculous ideals of their father."

Buraian shook his head as he looked back at Qastor. "Fate...exists only in instances in which you have no choice such as your death. Receiving that blade is indeed fate, but....you choose what you do with that blade...you choose whether to leave your family or not, and you choose to leave us behind to chase after a dream that will end in the sorrow of others...and your children trying to understand their selfish father leaving so he can 'bring the new era' instead of guiding and teaching them on how to BECOME the new era." he stated being done with Qastor...or rather whoever this man was. "Let's go Artemis...and leave this man...after all the true Qastor has died." he stated helping Artemis up as he began to walk to the door. "We should check in on your squad." he said providing an excuse to leave. It was useless talking to Qastor now...just like it was when he insisted on leaving the Mist Village to atone for his sins.

He sat down and opened some folders,"Years before our time, the Meiji Era, do you remember what happened then? No you probably dont, the country was split tired of the emperor and his various ideals, a legendary Hitokiri annihilated all of the rebellions and secured a new democratic government. He fought with a vow never to kill and to absolve his sins, he protected all those he loved and cared for and in the end brought about the new era for the new era was in those he cared for." He had closed his eyes during this speech and opened them now as he spoke,"Do you all see now what I mean when I say I wish to fight to protect a new era?" He stood up,"The new era is in each of you and me, it is in Rin as much as me and Sana, just as it is in Burian and Artemis, and Hikaru and Tenichi and Sotaru and Seseni. The new era lives on in each of us as we carry on the good wishes of those who came before us into the new era." He had finally spoken his true point to them,"I carry your wishes and beliefs Rin, just as Burian and Artemis carry my beliefs and in turn yours also. Hikaru, Seseni, Sotaru, Tenichi, they will all carry all our beliefs and wishes into each new generation and each new era, this is the true meaning of protecting and fighting for the the New Era."

All Artemis at this point could do was shae her head in disappointment, he still did not understand the effects his actions would have one everyone. There was no point in trying to argue with him anymore, he was set in his idiotic ways and the only way to change that would be to kick his butt. But even that probably won't make him see his errors in judgement,"And I will teach your children that your past does not decide your future or controls who you are... you go off and lead yourself to ruin. We will raise your children and tell them that their father was a selfish, machostic man who single-handedly ruined our world as we know it."she stated in an emotionless tone, her face was blank and cold."Good bye Qastor."she said in a empty voice as she nodded good bye to Rin and left with Buraian to check in on the other gennin.
