The problem is, they'll be loathe to let it go, what with the civil war on Dac.

The class-II is doable, but the other one is ugly.
Shame Kuat has the rights to the Imm418, but not the Vindicator.
Otherwsie I think my best bet would be a Nebulon or Lancer. Maybe a Gladiator.

Anyway... (Starts re-watching Spice and Wolf) Seems to fit the trader motif I'm going with right now.

I wasn't asking for the Im 418
I was looking at a Vindicator as my main frigate. The problem is, they're Rendili products, not Kuat.

I'm curious as to how EK's character can barter with technologies he doesn't own... Mon cal is still very republic, yet he's already offering technologies as if he not only controlled the planet, but managed to pry it form the mon cal shipyards themselves.

I'm not bartering with the Mon Cal. I'm bartering for Free Dac. The company was formed by former members of the Quarren Isolation League, after the Battle of Dac. They're based on the two Quarren colony worlds, and are VERY MUCH CIS-aligned.
But to be more specific, I'm not downright giving them the licenses. They can't see the blueprints of the product, or know right now how to use them. Instead, they have production rights to the shipyards themselves, and will have access to those technologies, and all others, needed to build their ships there.

Well, the reinforced shielding is from Mon Cal shipyards; I've read nowhere where the Free Dac has the same technological advances. That's why I was curious where you were drawin it up from. Other examples also are potentially existant... [/shrug]
