Her reaction had been something predictable, his not so much. Since he had walked into the closet her eyes had been glued to him, for one reason or another. At first it was because of his state of undress and then it was because she was frightened that he would think she had done that on purpose. When he hit his head she had already been moving forward, her shock lessening under concern for his well being. Concern which then completely overlaps the fear as he falls into her aqueduct. She drops the second shirt in an instant and dives in after him, hooking her arms under his shoulders. Although not usually the strongest of people, Charis is lucky that gravity and weight are both affected under water. With a few good shakes of her tail she carries them both to the surface. But is only able to hold his head above the water and push him up towards the floor of his bedroom.

Even when he woke up and moved across the room to get dressed he hadn't said anything. Fearing and knowing that she has done something wrong, Charis can only blink and look down at the surface of the water. Wordlessly she slips down, leaving him to get dressed while she swims back to the lake. How could she be so stupid, she should have known better than to just barge into his room. She should have asked first and now she has upset him. Not stopping until she is back in her previous home, she would shake her head. The tears of worry that she had been shedding instantly disappearing in the water around her. She sinks to the bottom and lies out on her back, fingers digging into the closets band around her scales. Charis had been planning to wait till later to search for schools but it seems that now is probably a very good time.

Her eyes open wide when he calls her name, her past teaching her that he is either very upset at her or just looking for her. She waits a few moments, bottom lip held between her teeth. Finally she gets up to swim to the surface. But she reveals herself slowly, and not going her chest. With most of her body concealed she stays in the middle of the lake, gaze turned down at the glossy surface. "Yes akri?"

Charis nods slowly, his words, while not really being upset didn't exactly forgive her either. Not that she could forgive herself quite yet anyway. "It means that its in a large space station that orbits the planet." After saying the sentence her eyes widen and she looks up at him. "Akri is saying that the school is out with the stars?" Now she levitates herself out of the water, swimming toward him, eyes still quite wide. The possibility of living with the stars is something that she never considered. Yesterday when they had gone up in the large mech (don't remember what its called, not gonna go find it) she had been completely entranced by them. Now her embarrassment and fear, even trepidation is gone. In its place is shock and quite a bit of awe.

Not needing to be told a second time, Charis actually performs a back flip back into the lake. This time her speed and ease to respond is because she is now so very excited to get to the school. Her tail both guides and speeds her swiftly through the water and in almost no time at all she is back in his house. True that she could have just not gone into the water, but she prefers it and it gives her an excuse to have a few moments alone. Once she emerges into the living room she remembers his words. 'Her things'. Yet she has no things, only the clothes that he has given her to wear. She knows that would mean returning to his room but this time, she enters it through its door and not the entrance to her tunnels. Her arms full she would borrow a bag, something really simple and just put the odd assortment of shirts into that. Completely done getting ready she heads into the hangar, once more amazed by the sheer size of the mechs.

Looking down at the watch she wouldn't put it on, but does place it in the bag. Not entirely certain about all of its unique abilities, she is wary to accept the gift, the last time she ended up with a very new, very different eye. Although that gift is one that she is highly appreciative of and likes, she doesn't want any more surprises right now. Besides, she sees nothing wrong with being what she is. Even in the slave pens she learned that it was better to play up to your uniqueness it could catch the attention of some eccentric collector rather than some of the more unsavory types. And for the first time since she has met him, she hasn't directly followed his 'orders'. "I will before we reach the school, akri."

Now that she understands some of his reasoning, she nods. The thought of her being a famous singer something of a ridiculous one to her. Only the people involved with the slave trade, Seisuke and Ziven have heard her sing since she left her home. She has no wish to sing for a bunch of strangers, its something that she considers to be rather personal and would only sing for others if forced by situation or necessity. Still she nods, looking down at the, to her, strange device in her bag. "Akri shouldn't worry so, I've been treated such before and found it.. not too bad."
