Atako Okawa’s broadened grin was rendered void as he felt the oncoming presence of someone with the strength to ‘end’ his fun, and to that he replied between the gaps of his mouth “Not again”. He says to the ‘little’ girl, “Don’t think I am threw with you and do not try to escape”. The last Okawa felt awkward ‘because there was this probability that the female in front of him did not even perceive the danger she was with him around and the nearby presence of another entity. Atako Okawa turns around on the balls of his right foot as he already prepared to engage the person who was approximating him in a rather fast pace. He raises his right arm upwards, shifting the limb over his shoulder towards Hrunting’s holster with his mind settled on the oncoming entity; at the time the girl behind him was in the least of his worries. He greets Sutiven as he passes by with a low-pitched grin, that was just enough to capture his thoughts and Okawa says, while sliding loose strands of his hair back with the gaps between the fingers of his left hand, “You again…”

Sapphire sighed and then looked at the newer person. She nodded her head, signifying a hello. Then she smiled like a child. 'Guess this isn't gunna be all that easy...' She thought as she sighed again. Then she finally spoke. "Hello. I'm Sapphire." Her voice was sweet and quiet, plus she was looking at the ground.

Stephen nearly jumped out of his skin when he was addressed - he had been so intent on moving forward that he didn't notice anyone in front of him until she said something, startling him. Hafter regaining his composure (and feeling like a fool) he forced a smile.

"Uh, hi... sorry, didn't see you there. Nice to meet you Saphire. I'm Stephen... my friends call me Sutiiven, if you prefer..."

He then paused and glanced at the other person. He seemed familiar...

"Do I know you?"

"Alright." Sapphire said, lowering her smile as she looked at Atako. She gave a bit of a confused look and then shrugged. Leaning back against the wall, she seemed to show a not to childish look on her face. Her eyes were closed, but she listened to there convorsation

Progress was everywhere.

The city of Lament, in just a few short months, had changed dramatically. The Outer City no longer looked like a shantytown; buildings had since been upgraded into living spaces worthy of such a city, while the old ones had since been destroyed and cleared. Plumbing, heating, electricity, the whole nine yards.

Businesses in the area had new facades, new interiors, and most if not all of the work was free of charge. They were only hired and paid for the redux of the areas in question- the rest were simply side projects for amusement.

It would take much more time for the city to be restored and improved vastly, but for now the first phase of the rebirth of Lament was complete. And the money would go a long way for the company behind it, Raven Industries.

As for the RI offices located in the Inner City, they were one third of the way finished, and the first few floors had been put in place. The parking garage and basement level floors (which absolutely no one knew about besides Dawn Montigo, the new project lead) were long since completed. What they were for, of course, is an entirely different story for a different time. The project was actually ahead of schedule, due to the so far unhindered resources from Aekea.

In other words, it was only a matter of time before the Dark City... wasn't so dark anymore.

Phase One- Outer City Complete

A Spectre was headed towards the city, cloaked and engine noise cut. Appparently, whoever was flying in with the modified Black Hawk did not want to be detected all too soon, and for good reason. It was entirely unarmed- the cargo and passenger model, apparently. There was radio silence on the way over, and the silence persisted as they headed over what looked like...

s**t.

...An advancing army. They had no idea where they were from or how they got here, but it certainly was not a good time to be dawdling around. The helicopter picked up speed, hoping to reach their intended landing zone in time.

Meanwhile, in the city, Mark walked up to Dawn, a cellphone in hand.

"Hey. You been doin' good work here, you know. Word is that the CEO is back from his trip. I just got a call from him now, matter of fact; he wants to see you. I think he's got transportation on the way, should be here in a few hours if it's not here already. Hope you're ready for a field trip to Durem."

Dawn actually looked shocked, and it took her all of three long blinks before she turned on her heel and ran. "Has anyone got an Iron... my suit jacket has been at the bottom of my suitcase for at least a month!" gonk

The architect was obviously upset... but only someone who had known her for a while would see the glint of excitement under the trepidation of meeting the head honcho for the first time.

She would be ready by the time the "transport" arrived, even if her hair was still damp from a shower and she had cheated by using magic to convince the natural fibers in her suit jacket to relax out the wrinkles....Her trepidation turned to sheer terror as the helicopter landed, and if anyone was around who already knew her they would see her sun kissed completion turn to a sickly gray as her worst fears came to life in the very practical form of the Black Hawk... it was fast, and there was really no reason why she shouldn't have thought of it when Mark told her that her transport would be there shortly.

Dawn was still gray as she climbed into the back of the chopper and put her seat belt on tightly, her laptop in it's case at her feet, and a cylindrical blue print case across her lap.

The pilot looked behind him, raising an eyebrow at the architect's complexion. "Damn, this lady is bird-sick." The copilot sighed and said, "Don't worry miss, we got this one covered. You'll be back in Durem in no time."

And with that, the engines revved, the Spectre lifted, into the air, and as soon as it was about six inches off of the ground... the optical camouflage activated. Seconds after that, the noise from the engines was silenced. The modified helo seemed to have disappeared, and was gone before anyone knew it was there beides those in the immediate area.
