He grinned at her comment, feeling ecstatic. Then, his eyes wandered to his pocket again. "I've brought that thing I told you about..."

"Well." Avarice began, reaching into his pocket, his hand resurfaced with a ring. His palm smoked as he held it, but it didn't matter to him. The ring was silver, obviously. It carried a beautiful design. A snake, shaped like an eight and biting its tail, the symbol for infinity and its shaped was wrapped around two large rubies. "I figured if I'd make you my mate. I'd make you my wife." He grinned at her, falling gracefully to one knee. "So, my dearest hate, my dearest Kirai. Will you be my bride?"

Avarice smiled, kissing each of her fingers before slipping the ring on. Standing, he kissed her forehead before her lips and said: "And this world means nothing without your happiness."

Kirai looked up at him, smiling, then looked down and reached into her purse. "Oh dear, I almost forgot..." She pulled out a small box covered in blue velvet, inside was a fine made pocket watch. Kirai handed it to him, "And the same without you."

He reached out, taking the pocket watch into his palm and examined it. "Kirai..." Avarice said, adjusting his glasses with his free hand. "It's lovely. Where ever did you get it from?"

Kirai held her hand up a bit, looking at the ring, then at Dr.Avarice. "It most certainly is the most lovely thing I've ever seen, given to me by the most lovely one I've ever known."

Avarice ran his thumb over the pocket watch, admiring it before lifting Kirai up. "Now, here's a question. Should the wedding come before or after all of this? And should it be something small, just between us or larger?"

She put her arms around his neck. "The longer we can be together, the better. And... a wedding that would be small or between us sounds good."
