((Ok, This is going to be my last post until next Thursday... See you then, everyone!))
Kyfen smiled too, at the little sand Kyfen. Bending down, he scooped up the sand, and began to copy the glyph.
One stroke going up, a curvy line down, straight right...A wave of magic coursed through his entire body, making him shiver slightly, from the bottom of his spine to his head, as if a thousand spiders with needles for legs were swarming their way up his back. His vision became more vivid with colours, and the glow about Yata grew to an almost blinding light.
Am I doing it? Is this right?Kyfen reached down to pick up a handful of sand, bringing it up to eye level again.
I can do it. Focus.Kyfen dropped the sand, watching it fall slowly onto the glyph. Upon hitting it, he waited for the image in his head to appear, in all it's glory.
I want the sand to look like Dad. He thought,
So there'll be a sand me, and a sand him. Happy in our little sand world.Kyfen watched the glyph still, expecting something to happen at any moment. Which it didn't.
"Hey..." He said, disappointed, "It didn't work..."
Bending down, Kyfen touched the glyph, feeling that magic wash through him again.
Maybe, if I do this...Kyfen closed his eyes, and concentrated on the magical energy coursing through his body. In his mind's eye, mental hands grabbed the raw magic and shaped it into something real- an orb of pure power. With a short spurt of willpower, he sent the orb running through the nerves down his arm, reaching his fingers and finally making contact with the glyph.
Kyfen waited, again. There was a pause, in this moment, a pause that seemed to last a little
too long, like the calm before the storm.
And then it all happened at once.
A burst of furious colour shot out of the glyph, transitioning from something percieved to something real effortlessly, as if the coloured light was a physical substance, like paint. It span out of the glyph, which was now impossible to see, and grasped Kyfen, swirling up his legs and enmgulfing him in a blazing liquid light.
"Daad! Heeelp!" Kyfen cried, knowing instinctively that this wasn't supposed to happen. "Heee-"
His screaming stopped, eyes turning a milky mother-of-pearl shade, expression distant. A golden, dimmer light began to radiate out his skin, but it was quickly swallowed by the energy flowing out the glyph, which engulfed him entirely, sucking the body of the small, twelve-year-old immortal through the seal and into an unknown place.
As soon as Kyfen had disappeared through the glyph, it stopped- there was no light, no screaming, no Kyfen. The only thing that had changed was the glyph, now reading

, and the little sand statuette of Yata, smiling at ihis little sand son.
((Not meaning to sound bossy, but it might be for the best if you don't find Kyfen until I'm back or a day or two before I'm back. It's your choice, though. Have a good summer!))
