Neb sped from checkpoint to checkpoint, unsure of what was going to happen. Place after place were ready, vanguards on standby, amphibians ready to deploy, the V-wings on rear patrol, as if to take the offense by suprize. He had planned everything out the last detail, except for the newest set of devlopements. While the fighters would take two minutes to reach the shipyards, and the aquatic five, something happened that should not have. On the end of one of the piers, a rocket store blew up... something that should not have happened.
"I knew there were more. But I wonder how many. Doesn't matter. As long as the shield generators remain intact, we'll be fine. And gunnie is worse than hudson when it comes to keeping things alive. I swear he has a brown thumb," Neb muttered to himself, sprinting towards the explosion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back at the shield center, one of the guards defending the only entrance into the generators had a com unit go off. Soon, orders belching out to switch to special armors echoed in the silent hall, a fatal mistake. Too late the guard turned, and looked down the end of a blaster pistol, his last sight being that of a red bolt coming at his head.
The splatter was unusually satisifying to Gunnie, though it was out of place with the white, sterile walls.
"Anyone else a Loyalist spy?" Gunny asked. Everyone nodded no. "The punishment for treason during a time of war is arrest and trial. Unless of course, the act of capture will create more disturbance than killing."
Gunnie bent over, deactivating a thermal detonator on the spies belt.
"Anyone seen not shooting at loyalist troops will suffer the same fate. Got it?"
Ztaph was keeping tabs on all the team's coms. If any died, he'd know. He commed the rest again and ordered a regroup. They all made their way to a central meeting place where they devised a plan. They were to knock out the shield generator using everything they had, and anything they could get their hands on. Soon enough, they were mowing down everything in their way until the shield generator was in view. " Okay boys, the guards here will be tougher than ever, and expect Jedi to jump outta nowhere at any time. Don't get cocky, and if it moves, kill it! " They all split up around the area, taking cover behind whatever they found, and started throwing thermal detonators one of them raided from the armory. The Loyalist fleet was getting even closer, and the fighters and bombers were just about within distance to start their attacks.
The Sundered Rose came outta hyperspace just behind the fleet. Catching up with the troop transports, Angel said, " You will be on the ground with the troops. I don't care what you do, just help make sure Mon Calamari falls. " She then commed the fleet Admiral and explained the new friend they'd have on the field. Turning back to Ali'Anna, she said, " I'll drop you off, but you'll be picked up with the rest of the troops in one of the transports. If you do well, I can assure you that you will be greatly rewarded. "
Ali'anna smirked. "I don't care about rewards, so long as I get to kill things." She reloaded her dart weapons and gripped her guns tightly.The prospect of being able to kill without restrictions was nearly causing her to salivate.
Neb reached the scene of the explosion, seeing several vanguards wounded, but had no need to call a medic, as several were already nearby rushing towards the scene.
"Who did this?" Neb shouted. One pointed in a general direction, at a man rushing towards the inside of the complex. "You!" Neb pointed at someone in the crowd nearby, "you're in charge of this pier. If it falls, its your fault, understand? I'll be back as quick as possible."
The soldier saluted, and Neb took off, mumbling to himself, "Bad day, bad day, bad day.."
All hell had broken loose. The only entrance to the shield generators was through a corridor. All other entrances were vents, impossible to get through for a normal sized human. This worried Gunnie, as there was no place to retreat to. Blasterfire came down the hallway, as gunnie returned, and as the stress rose, so did his accuracy.
A grenade was lobbed, poorly, and fell short. Figuring that there was more to come, Gunny found a pipe nearby. As he predicted, these professionals were professionals.... and therefore predictable. Their strategy could be analyized, though gunny didn't recognize the strategy, he understood the pattern. They were a single unit, but they followed simple timelines. They were too in-sinc with each other. Some reason, somehow, gunnie realized this. How, we may never know.
But at precisely the right time, a thermal detonator was thrown, and instantly hit back by the pipe, towards the squad, with a large grin on gunnies face, as he dodged to move out of the way of returning blasterfire. Many of the guards had chosen good hiding places, and several were up above on the walkways, ready to provide more cover fire.
"Damnit Neb. There has to be at least twenty of these guys in the hall. How could you miss so many?"
" Whoa! " Ztaph said, as he saw a detonator come back out from where it was thrown, in his direction. " I never put return addresses on those things. They got a Jedi for sure in there. " He quickly sent the detonator back with a swing from his armor's attatched gun. He commed the others. " Alright, see if we can move in, but don't get yourselves killed. We'll probably be needed to mow down the guards fighting off the grounds forces after we take that shield down. "
Ali'Anna disembarked, and just before taking off, Angel said, " Suit yourself. Good huntin'. " The Sundered Rose took off, and hypered back to Borleias, where Angel landed in the spot she did before, and followed the Dark Lord by sensing him with the Force until she came into what she could swear was an off-shoot of the Death Star.
The interior of Black Void was the complete opposite of the exterior. The smooth, waxed black was replaced by a clear, pacific, even surgical white, everywhere. Of course, it was accented by an electric green on panels and on some walls, where it was gridded with a tight black. The station was essentially able to be more than just a superweapon, an entire panel of the station, a diameter, was a hangar, though the station could not hold a capital ship or a cruiser, it would be able to hold many fighters. This also would give the station the advantage in a battle, able to deploy fighters from all side. Of course, at the moment the station had no fighters docked, but if it were attacke during the test run, it would most probably decimate its attackers: when threatened, the panels of the exterior would slide down and inward into, and the turbolaser and ion batteries would flare. Thus, the station would be a calm yet frightening site in peace, and a deadly weapon in battle.
The bridge of the station was at the apex of its height, and the core systems were in the core of the station, with the hyperdrive in the bottom of the station. Also located in the core was the station's most deadly weapon as well. The station featured parallel and elevated turbolifts, so that one could get from one part of the station to another. The station was divided into 12 rings, so that one could navigate it easily.
Imperius' personal quarters were on Ring 10. But that was of no concern at the moment. The most concern was to make sure the superweapon worked. And that, was why VoidTech123 was escorting him to the bridge.
Neb sprinted, but the ground was too far to cover to reach the generators and get back in time for the main assault. He stopped, looked at teh first wave of fighters slam into the V-wings, which was embarassingly poorly handled, on both sides, as Neb weighed his options. He stepped inside the building, found a room, and bolted himself in, sitting into a meditation stance. Battle meditation would allow him to see all the workings... and what he would have to attend to...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gunny watched as the detonator was thrown back, but the timer expired before it was halfway back down the hallway, doing neither side any damage. He looked around, seeing what could be useful, and suddenly everything became clear. He motioned everyone to stop firing, as they had no real advantage. The hallways had juttign structures that barely hid a man, but nonetheless, hid them from the blasts.
Gunnie pulled his backpack off, and looked at what it contained. He pulled out a cryoban grenade, hiding it behind the nearest outjetting at the foot of the jet (the one he was behind) and moved back. Whoever ran by it first would be caught, as it had a proximity on it. He pulled out another proximity grenade, attaching it to the top of the jutt behind it, just to throw them off, and spun around, returngin some fire.
Hopefully he'd catch some...

Ali'anna leapt to the ground and ran with the other troops to the area outside the generator. Ignoring cover, she emptied a clip into the general field of fire in front of her and lodged the gun into the band of the barely present lower-piece of her outfit. She grabbed a drop vibroknife and turned it on, then ran low into the defending troops. She dodged and weaved, taking advantage of the close range to maximize the effect of her melee combat, and taking advantage of her clothing to move more fluidly.

Imperius was gazing out at the hangar that the Void itself was sitting in when.
The VoidTech pressed a button on the control screen, trying to open the underground ceiling to allow the Void to pass through and get into orbit, when a clanking sound was heard.
"What the hell was that?" Imperius asked. The Technician stuttered a response and ran off to assist it. As he ran out, Imperius realized that he was alone, on the most powerful spaceship in the entire galaxy.

"There is little difference between Jedi and Sith in my eye. They both consider non-force users as lesser beings, and I'm not keen on that."
Mordranna pondered Cale's words as she took a seat near him on the bench. Arching a slender, delicate eyebrow, she pondered what he meant by the Jedi betraying the Republic. And, the attitude that he mentions is an unfortunate trait among some Jedi I've observed. Not common, but still ... "I think it unfortunate to look down on people whom do not share a gift that you have," she stated. Sometimes, I wonder if I would have been better off earning college money working for Bomber Bill's Bantha Burger, she wryly pondered.

The strike team began advancing, but Ztaph ordered them to halt short of a single corridor. Suspecting the quiet as a trap, he threw a detonator down the length of it. As if on cue, blaster fire came from behind, as some of the guards had spotted them. " You 2, with me. The rest of you, take those guards out. " He continued to advance with the 2 others, keeping an eye out for any possible traps.
(( I'm assuming the corridor is like a long hallway. A being the team, B being their objective, | being where it intersects other hallways, where any traps would be ---> A-------|----|----|----|--|---B ))

Angel soon realized she was aboard a superweapon, and began to look around. After being in awe of it, she focused back on finding the Dark Lord and followed him through the Force until she finally reached him. " Nice place. Is this what we'll use to beat the Republic to allow us the total freedom to continue finding the truth about Revan? " She paused for a moment, then gave a shocked expression. " I just remembered, we left that holocron on the Eclipdra when it was destroyed. Now we'll never know what's on it... "

Imperius was horrified.
"Damn those soldiers...they boarded us..." he concealed his anger, because there was noone to channel it into. The only people aboard the entire station were he and Valycia.
