A vague image of Jarred came with the words. Cookie sensed her new companion faltering, but could do nothing for the moment as her vision swam. "Anything works," she added, starting to gain strength. "People call me whatever they want, I respond to it. I'll... hold you up..."

The woman was still shaky, but she was recovering faster than she'd anticipated and took most of her weight off Pendari.

Pen chuckled at the vague image, "Yeah, that's him. He can be very very frustrating." Pendari slowed her pace a bit, but was able to keep walking when Cookie's weight partially lifted. "Cookie Gray? A title of your own choosing or someone elses?"

Cookie took a deep breath to steady herself and kept moving. "A child chose it. I'm a cook, therefore Cookie, and I'm as gray as it gets." She gave Pendari a faint smile. "My last name prior to was Aryn Lavendra Baylor, but that's a legal name we came up with when I married Reni. Reni Baylor, my last husband. That was about 30 years ago."

"You were married?" Pen shrugged, "I suppose people still do that these days." As they reached the entrance of the star's light, Pen slowly began untangling herself. "You can make it easily from here. I still have to go and find the stone."

Standing more easily now, Cookie gave Pen a steady look. "Reni died hunting a Ytrian near-stag while recovering from wounds gained on another hunt. He never listened to me when I asked him to stop, that the beast would come to him if he set out bait instead."

With that, she walked onto the ship, one hand pressed against the wall for a little extra support.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Pen said with an attempt at sympathy, it wasn't something she was particularly good at. She gave an encouraging smile before using the wall to push her forward and back towards the rest of the prison.

As she got a good distance away the little girl's laughter continued to echo through the maze of hallways and cells. Pen gave a slight shudder, and then regretted it as the feeling sent her into a wave of dizziness. She leaned against the far wall, trying to keep herself upright, while quietly calling out to Haldis to come out. "I promise I won't hurt you." She whispered.

In a flash of white light, Haldis was standing at her side and tsking softly, "Silly Gautry. You don't even know how to hurt me." Haldis's hand glowed white as she placed it on Pendari's good arm. Then in another flash of white, they were both gone. Only Haldis's laughter and few blood droplets remained.

Cookie sighed and leaned heavily against the hatchway to the Star's Light, wincing as the healing finally began to finish. "No one ever listens to what I tell them..."

Jarred, the flak cannon strapped onto his back, was standing near a window in the prison, the hatch sealed near him. The dock had been disengaged from the Star's Light, as he planned to get his ship, then quick attach it to the Light and ride it out till they got where they were going. He was holding the PDA in front of him, his eyes glazed over as he stared into nothingness, piloting the Grushdeva remotely, dodging around bits of metal and scrap, moving it closer to the hatch.
That's when the Star's Light started up, the Gilgamesh started up and the Star's Light followed suit.

"Wait, what?" He said, shaking his head, vision returning to his eyes. He saw the Star's Light fly away, and raised one hand in it's direction, flipping it off. He could reason why easily enough: The Gilgamesh started moving, and with it that close, it would have smashed into the Light easily, and Jarred forgot to tell anyone where he was. Oops.

He cursed, the Grushdeva getting sent towards the planet, getting caught in it's gravitational pull. He was able to direct it slightly, enough that it would hit at a safe angle, allowing it to enter the atmosphere, but he didn't have the transmitting range to land it. He needed to get to the control room. He glanced down at the space suit that was left, and sighed.
