Sari had heard the announcement over the loud speakers. "Asako...isn't that one of the girls I met in Drama class?" She muttered.

"Yes she is." Faithful replied. "You should go visit her. After all, no one likes to be stuck in bed." He finished.

Sari shuddered a little at the memories that came to her at the offhand remark. "No...No one likes that." She murmured. She headed down to the hospital wing. When she arrived there she got Asako's room number from the nurse. As she walked down the corridor, she could hear voices. 'Guess she has a lot of visitors.' Sari thought. She knocked on the door, waiting to be let in.

((Hey guys! I'm still not set up with the internet at my place, but I managed to get online while we're waiting for my hubby's car to get fixed. It shouldn't be too much longer before we have internet access, but until then I'm not sure how often I'll be able to get online. sweatdrop ))

((Glad you could post, Sconnolly--but don't worry about it. I know where you are, just try and get back into the swing of things when everything is more stable! ^^))

Asako, just having finished her sandwich, felt her heart give out a small cry of disappointment as Vincent left. As his back retreated through the door, she called out, "Bye, Vincent! I'll see you around, kay?!" Sadly, she did not think he heard her.

Resigning herself to a cute-guy-less evening, she grabbed another sandwich and started on it. Yes, Anne truly did make them like heaven....

"Oh...he's gone already. Too bad, he's really cute." Anne's words made her give an involuntary jerk, her tail fluffing in agitation. No wa~y...! she felt like crying from frustration. Anne, how could you~! I like him...!

Before she could actually say anything to the human girl, however, Kuragari pulled out her violin and began to play something fast and kind of club-mix-y. Asako felt herself tapping her uninjured foot, and began to bob side to side, for lack of being able to actually dance. Yes! Awesome music! her internal voice did a little victory dance.

Suddenly, through the music, she heard the sound of a knock. Not wanting to risk hurting her foot again, she raised her hand high and called more loudly than she probably should have, "Someone's at the door! Come on in, I don't think it's locked!"

Kuragari frove and turned to the door at Asako's words. Opening the door she stepped aside so Sari could walk in and sit down and relax. (Sorry that way she's not standing there looking stupid) Not sure if she should go back to playing orbe quiet Kuragari looked at the other people in the room to see if anyone nodded to her to start up the music again.

((actually, i think it was Sari at the door, not Anne, Kurimuson))
Aqua felt suddenly better as Vincent left. she turned round and watched kuragari play appreciatively. She took and sandwhich, and started to eat it. swallowing her mouthful she said "Damn, this is good!" Finishing it off, she heard a knock at the door and saw a new girl walk in. looking to kuragari, she said. "You're a really good violin player. could you, um, play some more?"

Nodding at the compliment Kuragari raised the violin before saying, "call out any request and I'll see what I can do." Starting up a quick dance song that she heard at a square dance where she had her fill from a hit man, Kuragari began tapping her foot and spinning to the music. She felt silly but was having fun for ounce and ignored that nagging feeling she had to hide in the corner or run away.

(sorry about my mix up, I fixed, thanks Aqua)

Anne noticed Asako's tail twitching, but didn't understand the meaning of it, and before she could ask Kuragari started playing a fast paced-song in her violin. With a smile, Anne also started tapping her feet to the rhythm. She had always loved music, even though she couldn't play it for her life's sake.
When yet another girl entered the room, the brunette couldn't help but to chuckle "Gosh, Asako, just how popular are you? This place is getting crowded!" Casting a genuine smile around the room, the girl sighed. It felt good, yet awkward, to be surrounded of so many people...so many friends. Despite her friendly nature, she had never had friends on Earth. Her...differences, and her lifestyle both saw to that.

((I'm so sorry Selphie/Anne to keep you waiting! I've just been through the worst week of my life...Finals week for me. Don't even think I've ever been that booked with studying, test-taking and sports practice. And now I have yet something else to do: I gotta go to church and I'll attempt to post as soon as possible. If you want you can say you went somewhere else or to get help, I'm gonna have Jack go into another one of his daze-dreams. I just want to say that I'm really sorry again >.<))

(([EDIT:] Nevermind mrgreen I just saw you posted again. biggrin ))

((Now it's time for my catch-up ish))

Jake barely noticed Anne's notebook slip and hit the ground. His head felt like it was spinning, well it actually was... His head was moving in drunken-circles. Eyes were bugging out as the young man tried to regain his balance, tried to get his eyes to focus on the world around him. Anne swam in and out of focus.

"Hey, I'll see you later" She turned and walked away to her last class of the day.

"Yea, I'll cya later..."

He was still out in the hallway outside of his third period class - Alchemy. All of his weight shifted backwards as he let his body use the wall for support. Jake brought his palms up to his face and started rubbing his eyes, somehow hoping that that would cure his current ailments of nausea. Without warning the teen's knees started wobbling and collapsed.

He was now sitting in the hall, legs outstretched, mind still swimming in eternal darkness. With great effort, Jake managed to pull his knees up to his chest and embraced them with his arms. His forehead fell as if on command while images moseyed across his mental-field-of-vision.

There was a little boy playing on the beach, two guys smoking on a street corner, a slumber party of little girls - gossiping and snacking, someone drinking a vile of deep red liquid, and old women cooking dinner with pots flying pell-mell and everywhere, a cat-kid running through a forest, a well-built kid chucking a football down a football field, a couple playing a guitar and singing, someone reading, a boy lounging out by the side of a pool, a high-school kid peering intently at an older someone, someone flying above the clouds...

Images, pictures, normal people - no, gifted people doing what they want when they want and here Jake was, peering in on their private lives. Slowly, ever so slowly, the visions trickled to a stop. The boy let out a long-bottled-up sigh and spread his body out. Although it appeared that he was sitting in the hall for over an hour, he was unexpectedly exhausted.

It might be a good idea to seek help...

Anko? Now where could he be? Why isn't he here now? Jake peered through the empty halls. Wait...Anko? Is that even you?

The silky voice probed his mind again, Just go to the hospital wing, why don't you? A disembodied person secured the boy's body and lifted him to his feet. Once his knees gained control. The strong pressure securing his body released and seemed to evaporate. The person's presence was no longer there.

Jake stumbled his way down to the hospital wing down on the first floor and found himself face to face with a kindly nurse at the reception area in no time.

"What seems to be the problem, sir?"

Jake had trouble finding his voice and when it crept from his throat it was raspy, "Um...well, I seem to have problems. I think it has to do with controlling my "abilities"..." He made sure to put special emphasis on the word abilities.

The woman flicked back her blond hair. "I see... I'll send somebody to you soon." She got out from behind her desk, "If you will follow me, I'll lead you to your room."

A room? That was fast He absentmindedly followed the woman to a room and immediately collapsed onto a bed and fell into a restless sleep of more visions.

((Glad you could join us again, Surf_dude. Sorry to hear about being swamped like that!))

By this time, the sun had lowered to hang in that position just before the colors of the sunset burst forth. Though the sandwiches had filled Asako up, and the company had kept her busy, she still felt slightly restless, cooped up in a hospital room.

As Kuragari opened the door, she saw the other girl from her Drama class--Sari, the name was. "Come in, come in!" she said as the girl was ushered inside. "It's great to see you again, Sari. Make yourself at home--we have delicious sandwiches~!"

She heard Aqua ask Kuragari for another tune, and found her tail bobbing side to side as the music started again. Damn, that girl could play. It seemed she was surrounded by talented people: Anne with her sandwiches, Kuragari with her music, Acarian with his mind-reading abilities...

She heard Anne speak all of a sudden beside her. "Gosh, Asako, just how popular are you? This place is getting crowded!"

"I know!" the kitsune said in happy response. "But it sure does make the place more cheerful, ne? It would suck to be stuck in a room like this all by yourself!"

Turning her thoughts in the direction they had been headed before Anne spoke, she realized that Acarian had been strangely silent. Maybe he just didn't like large crowds, but she didn't want anyone feeling left out right now. "Acarian!" she called softly to the boy. "Why so quiet?"

((For those who require an actual time, it's around 4:30-5ish in the afternoon.))

Kuragari watched the sun get lower out of the corner of her eye as she opened them alittle. She was feeling a bit more relaxed now that her music was surrounding her but she knew she'd feel better when it was dark and she could get some warm blood into herself and Chi.

When she hear Asako ask Acarian why he was so quiet Kuragari started to come back from losing herself. 'Why is he quiet, I hoipe he's ok. I should spend tonight getting used to talking to him more and find out more about him. I guess Chi'll have to deal with blood from the fridge. Or maybe she can fly beside us and I'll drink the bottles stuff.' She played while thinking this over but she did slow down and the music dipped into a more thoughtful less happy note.

((sorry i haven't posted in a while! finals hit really hard!))

acarian shook out of the sleight daze he was in and faced asako. "oh, it's nothing asako, its really nothing." he said, walking out of the room absent-mindedly. " i can't put my finger on it, but there's something strange about vincent, i just can't put my finger. . .no, i'm probably worrying for nothing." he continued thinking, walking past the main office and back into the hallway.

Watching Acarian leave Kuragari stopped abruptly and began putting her instrument away. "I got to go, it's almost sunset and Chi'll be hungry, plus I need to feed on something living." Bowing she called out, "BYE!!" and ran out the door to catch up with Acarian.

Spotting him upahead Kuragari slowed down to walk beside him. "So...um...it's going to be a nice night tonight...me and Chi always go for a walk at night and I was just wondering if you wanted to come."

Seeing how he acted in the room she decided to add. "You sure there's nothing bothering you?"

Jake gave a little moan and rolled over on the clean, crisp, white sheets. One of his arms flopped across his body and landed on the side of the bed, dangling. He had forgotten that he was in the infirmary - completely consumed by his exhaustiveness and the unbelievable comfort of the simple bed. Groggily he began opening his eyes centimeter by centimeter.

The form of a person began to focus. Brown hair. Kindly face. Little stereo-typical cap (in case he forgot where he was). Woman. Nurse?!

The feminine voice spoke softly and with care, "Hello there," she stole a glance down at her little clipboard, "Jake. It seems you've had another fitful sleep. Those visions...how troubling are they?"

Jake was flabbergasted. How did she know about what he had been "dreaming" about. It seemed as if she had read his expression and quickly replied - almost too quickly - "One of our specialists took a look into your memories so we could produce a diagnosis for you and instead stumbled upon what you were dreaming. Or is it really dreaming?"

She waited for an answer, but received none; Jake was too exhausted to explain his life's story to a stranger even if she was someone there to help him. She wasn't the one who had seen all he had seen. Monotonously, he asked, "So, what's the actual verdict?"

The nurse seemed to stir as if from a slumber, "Oh, sorry." Her eyes fluttered. "As you know this is a school for all gifted, so our specialist concocted this for you. It's supposed to reduce the frequency of these visions and it won't suppress any of your abilities."

The woman seemed to stare, trying to receive some sort of recognition. After receiving none, she continued, "So, three each day. One at every meal and you should be taking them with liquid and or food. Okay?" Jake gave a small nod this time.

Placing the small, Advil-shaped (and sized) bottle on the bedside table, she left saying as she left, "Now have a good day, won't you? And be good; stay as long as you like." Simultaneously as the door clicked shut, Jake could be heard collapsing backwards, back into bed.

The young man let out a long, tired sigh that coursed through his whole body - making his body rise and fall, eyelids flutter and heart skip a beat. Sleep sure sounds nice right about now...

Jake relaxed his whole body and cleared his mind letting his body drift off into the wonderful world of unconsciousness.

((Hear, hear, Keru!))

"Hey Asako, Kuragari...um...everyone else." Sari said a blush creeping into her face. "I'm Sari for those who don't know me. It's nice to meet you all." Sari finished falling silent. She stood there trying to make herself as unobtrusive as possible.
