Tsai Lin
I think you don't even need to get that approved. Just do something like:

"Long attempts to bite Tsai"
Tsai rolls 1+1=4
Long rolls 1+1=5
"Long digs his teeth into Tsai causing him to bleed"

Something like that. It's not really a skill unless your like Mike Tyson. (Then I guess it could be razz JK)

ok so i dont need this to get approved to use it?

Name: Fangorum
Art: Hakuda
Description:
Long uses his beast like teeth. He will aim for anywhere and clamp his jaws on the target's area, tearing away flesh and muscle upon finishing the bit, the crunch will cause bleeding if Long is able to connect the attack .The technique is stackable, more than one can be working at a time.

Cost: 7 Rp + (3 Rp every 2 lvls)
Attk: 1d20 + Str mod
Effect (1): Initial dmg (1-4) + (Str mod)
Effect (2): If landing, attack will cause bleeding, (1-2) dmg is delivered each turn after opponnent's attack. Every 2 levels, damage is increased by 1.

Requirements:
Lvl 2
Strength: 25
Reiatsu: 20
Awareness: 14
40+ posting after reaching lvl 2

No, I'm saying you don't need an effect >_<. Just bite people if you want to but I don't feel that you need an effect after biting someone.

Maybe it relates to his shikai or bankai? Like a fang blade or something... ...so ripping off Inu Yasha...

Well, I think biting someone really isn't special enough to be called like a move. But that's what I think.

Dischord and Kenkaru get the final say to these things, I'm just giving my opinion.

Hey I just looked over the updates on the battle system and pratically looked over the profiles...And now theres the include of the points bonus for the skills.

Quote:
Last Updated: 6/23/07

Stats:
Lvl: 1

Hp: 22
Rp: 14
Str:22 [+6]
Agi: 12 [+1]
Vit:14 [+2]
Awr:10 [+0]
Int: 12 [+1]
Rei:18 [+4]
Acc: 1

Ddg Bonus: 10+ 1(agi)+ 0(awr) +8(skill mod) +=19

Attack Bonus (Acc.):
1+6 (str mod)= 7 (hakuda)
1+6 (str mod)= 7 (one-handed& two-handed)

Zanjutsu:0 [+0]
Hakuda: 0 [+0]
Hohou: 20 [+8]
Kidou: 0 [+0]

Standard Dmg Two-handed:13-22
Standard Dmg One-handed: 7-16
Hakuda Dmg: 7-10

Experience Total:200
Nxt Level: 200/1000

if placed about 20 in my hohou, would the modifier be +5 and that would be my hohou bonus?
if it is, would my dodge bonus be like this instead?

Ddg Bonus: 10+ 1(agi)+ 0(awr) +5(hohou Mod) +8(skill bonus) =24

She's online when she's online. She's like a lazy, arbitrary god who checks in on occasion. 3nodding

Don't hurt me.

But, your best bet is to PM her. That way you'll get to her no matter what. 3nodding

Okay, let me break down the modifier.

Based on your current stats, Azn:

Dodge Bonus:
Base Dodge: 10
Agility Mod: 1
Awareness Mod: 0
Hohou Mod: 8
Total: +19

The Hohou mod is the skill mod, essentially.

Make more sense now?

Edit: *beats Nasi to a pulp*

@dischord: Ok, How about having a split personality which causes him to switch momentarily in battle like switch all together. From himself to another person with different stats. but I would keep the stats in the character journal and they wouldn't be god modding stats but just a twitch higher then level one to begin with and would not get trained just leveled up with karite. Cause in karite is sealed this whole other entity he has no knowing of. It is actually a spirit, kinda like a hallow but not. this is where his daisho shiaki comes from. this is the other soul. if thats possible

Er.. you just essentially copied everything that I've done with Ran.. LOL.

I'm going to have to say no. Come up with something more original, catch me on MSN or AIM, or even YIM or ICQ, and we'll discuss it. But for the time being.. no.

It's too similar to ideas already expressed here in the guild by other members.

Edit: After discussing it with Paradox, the only thing we could see is if the possession of the soul is done by say, a sibling. Otherwise, it is very difficult for a soul to possess a soul.

As far as increased levels, the levels would just be one level above Karite, for the sake of current play. Please get with me on one of the aforementioned messengers to discuss this in more detail.

As I have just joined, I would like to say first of all that the honor I feel at being accepted into such an elite corp is unfathomable I assure you.

However; I believe I have the right to challenge the main workings of the guild so long as I do so in a respectful and pleasant manner.

Now, my question isn't in so far as a demand, for it is just as I intend it as an inquiry, no more, no less. The "Battle" system, which as I understand is still in development calls for stats, and with stats, comes the inability to fully control your character, the "heat" of battle, therefore is lost in this organized and well-thought out system.

I would like to challenge this "battle system" in it's entirety, I believe that if a Roleplayer, is fully capable of understanding and abiding by the rules of God-moding in all it's content and guidelines therein, he or she should be allowed the free form of battle which is most common, in which with the attack of an opponent, said Role player, is free to dodge, block, or get hit as they so deem.

For a real role player, one who values the esteemed structure of an organized setup such as this one, will truly be recognized as an exceptional fighter, for while to do so may mean a loss on your or my part. That doesn't make us any less of a roleplayer. Rather, I would think it would make us more of one. A wise warrior knows when he is beaten and will surrender with dignity.

However, while as much as this would be my desire, I feel it is not my place to institute such a change, and humbly request it be taken into consideration by the guild's crew.

Despite the intent, the humble request, regardless of it's phrasing, is pointless. The battle system is in place for a reason, and will remain in place. While I personally don't need the system, as I'm perfectly capable of role-playing without it, it is the desire of the Guild Captain to keep said system.

Until such a time as he says it is no longer needed, the system will remain.

The system is not considered an 'optional' part of the guild. If you agree with a player at the beginning of a battle to not use the system, and fight in such a manner, that is fine. However be aware that should you decide not to use the battle system, you will always be considered level 1, and treated as such when fighting stronger and higher leveled characters.

Neither will you acquire experience, which is the primary way to level up in the guild. We are a mixture of good old fashioned role-play, and the d20 system.

Your opinion has been taken under consideration, and, as the rules are in place for a purpose, has also been set to the wayside.

Welcome to the guild.

It's optional eek ? But Captain said it's mandatory to me last time I asked.

The way I look at it, is that with the system it gives those with beasty stats a even plan with those who are not so beasty and keeps our rping skills on our toes cause we dont know what the dice are going to do.

It is understandable, I had hardly thought the suggestion would be taken into consideration at all, I am in no way surprised or offended at the outcome of the situation, rather only slightly disappointed. Your clarification has helped clear things as to the manner in which the system works, though I cannot see that if the battle system in place is placed aside for a particular battle should both sides agree upon it how the levels will transfer to the players. If it's based solely on their skill as a role player, I fail to see how that could carry over.

It would be my choice then, given the current situation, not to participate in the role playing aspect of this guild.

Thank you for your time and patience concerning this matter.
