XX gets a few stares when he enters with the stuffed bear. "Well, considering how that's just a teddy bear, the best we could really do would make a golem out of it. Though I'm certain you're either kidding or batty, Irakov has been been quite successful in animating guardian golems for children out of stuffed toys. With the necessary modifications for mobility, of course."
---
"Hmmmm... There's already the Poison and Poison Cloud combination, obviously used in fights with more small combatants. Can't always wait for them to tick out though, can you?"
He flips through a book for reference, finding a page, then glancing it over and setting it down before continuing to speak.
"We can do inflatable spells. It's funny that you mention Burn Out, because it's a favorite of spellswords that follow both white and black magic disciplines. White because they can easily replenish life, and black because it is a very damaging action. I could make you an inflatable spell, but the most likely candidates for inflating would be temporarily damaging your magical ability, or damaging your own life directly. With the life you can actually set the spell to use a time delay, giving you more bang for your pain. So, interested in me seeing what I can whip up?"

Gonzu nods politely. "It would be an honor. I would prefer one that damages life over one that damages my Magic. I can always cast heal to replenish life. But without my magic, I am nothing."

XX sighs.
'It was a live bear one time, you know. It's as dead as any zombie. Nevertheless, take me to this Irakov immediately!'

(Yeah, been putting off replying here because nobody gave me much to work with, and I haven't had any inspiration. As for the tournament, I'll be popping up a thread for that soon.)
Firu finds a few books on the general subject. It's not quite this school's specialty though, so you won't get anything too terribly in-depth. Whatcha wanna know? smile
---
"Ah, alright then, I will work on the spell. I'll send for you when I've finished it, and you can give it a try in your next outing and see how it works for you."

Gerbo, running back to the reasearchers, started talking extreamly fast.
"I just had the most profound idea! What if there was a spell that could not only stun one person, but MANY! What do you say??"

((You need inspiration for spells? Well you could ask me, I got a lot of spell ideas because of a side project I'm working on.))
Bellamin wandered meagerly throughout the new establishment. Odd how he seemed to *not be able to find a familiar face. The spellsword sighed, the utter boredom seemed to consume all the excitement of a new magic spell. Bellamin started to search the corridors for a room in which he could freely practice his castings, and mabye his swordsplay.
((Well can you pop it in after Aug.6? Thats when I'll be going for a while.))
((Darn, I'm forgetting spelling and my grammer now...))

"How about a spell that both injures an opponent, and cause there defense to drop? Like... ACID SPLASH (2MP): Deal damage equal to your magic stat, and lower the opponents defense equal to 1/3 your magic stat (rounded down.) or... ACID WAVE (5MP): Deal damage equal to magic stat to all opponents and lower all opponents defenses equal to 1/3 your magic stat (rounded down.) What do you think of that?"

"Perhaps a spell that can be cast by multiple mages for extra power? Rather than just casting alone." Gonzu ponders for a moment.
"Divine fury ritual (3 MP) -This spell can be joint-cast ---(1 mage) Deals your magic stat as damage to one enemy. ---(2 mages) Deals 2 times your combined magic stat as damage to two enemies. (+1 MP cost) ---(3 mages) Deals 2.5 times your combined magic stat to all enemies (+2 MP cost)
As the mages link their power the overal spell becomes exponentially more powerful. Ritual magic could also have defensive properties.
Divine shield ritual (3 MP) -This spell can be joint-cast ---(1 mage) Negate damage equal to your magic stat to yourself or any party member. Any monster attacking the target of this spell takes damage equal to 1/3 your magic stat. ---(2 mages) Negate damage equal to half your combined magic stat to yourself and all party members. Any monster attacking the target of this spell takes damage equal to 1/3 your combined magic score. (+1 MP cost) ---(3 mages) Negate damage equal to your combined magic stat to yourself and all party members. Any monster attacking the target of this spell takes damage equal to 1/3 your combined magic score. (+2 MP cost)
The spells would really only be cost effective while linking with other mages. Standing alone the spell would not be as effective.

Gerbo turned over to the researchers.
"Hmmm. you think you guys could possibly whip up a spell that will syphon away an enemy casters magic points? Thus effectively stripping away his magical power while giving you more?? That would help me out immensely! I always seem to never have enough magical power, and, mage to mage, you know you can never really have enough..."

Lazarus saw the giant-double doors leading to the school, and carefully skirted around them, not knowing what the building was, or what type of people were inside.
