(I'm the only one with a light-based character.
sweatdrop ...Oh, I hope you enjoy some light reading.
wink Keep in mind this is only an introduction post. They are typically longer than my others. People are saying it's daylight now, right? Well, that day is starting with this particular morning of hers. Um, yeah, I would have posted earlier in the RP than now, but, as you can see, it took some time to make this post.
sweatdrop ...Yes, I'm a guy and have a female character-don't judge me.

Hylin awoke, her eyes opening drowsily. She sat up without much ambition. Yawning quietly, she reluctantly rose from her warm and comfortable bed and stretched absentmindedly. The young sorceress then meandered over to her open window, gazing at the blossoming sunrise.
After watching for some time, she prepared for the day ahead, firstly by bathing and dressing. After doing so, Hylin stole a glance into her furbished oak cupboards, and when she discovered an utter lack of supplies, a grimace flourished upon her visage. However, it remained only a moment. The youthful, exuberant Lumorian smiles sheepishly and closed the small door. Her choices were evident-go shopping in the market or not eat breakfast.
Hylin snatched her pouch of gold coins and glided cheerfully out the door. Her eyes darting right, then left, she cautiously removed her cloak and extracted her breath-taking wings to full length, smiling with unmistakable satisfaction. The joyful healer made sure there was no one around a second time, then took flight. She rose gracefully and began her errand.
The Lumorian flew high and fast over the trees that surrounded her relatively private home. She sped along the treetops by the road, just far enough so that nobody can see her, yet close enough so she can track the turns and changes in the streets. Before long, she arrived at the city. The grimace made an encore appearance upon her face as she descended through the tree boughs. Hylin strained and retracted her wings. She returned to wearing her brown cloak, which she had been carrying with her.
Hylin beamed at the bright, almost-risen sun as she approached the trade district. The shops there had not been open for long, so it was a good time for buying. The attractive young girl trod over to the food and drinks section and commenced browsing. She continued her casual, nonchalant glances around the area until she came to what she had been searching for-blessed items. She much rather preferred consuming blessed food and drink than merely ordinary products. Hylin purchased enough for the week's repasts and eagerly and hungrily made her back home.
She arrived back at her home in the Light's surface colony. The sector was highly underpopulated and poverty-stricken. Hence, the other element factions saw it as no threat whatsoever. Hylin could see reason behind such an assumption, however begrudgingly. To her knowledge, she had been the sole scout assigned there so far. This put much pressure on the relatively inexperienced mage.
Hylin ate, washed up, and packed for what would turn out to be a grand adventure, all the while sustaining her elated disposition. Just as she prepared for and assumed, the moment readiness was achieved, she was gone from her bedroom in a subtle yet beautiful flash of pale yellow light.
The young girl was summoned to a council of her superiors. She stood before what seemed like an infinite amount of rows, all containing those her decided her missions. The atmosphere grew tense with her remaining in the limelight as she was. Her location did nothing to aid in the mood though, friendly clouds beneath her feet and majestic columns all around.
All of it might seem overwhelming, but she had been here before, though Hylin's parents accompanied her the previous time. A low murmur started up the myriad of rows. Several moments later, silence fell through the room. A single scroll descended in the palpable quiet. The youthful Lumorian caught the gradually-falling parchment that appeared from oblivion. The second she took a solid grip upon the mission details, she was back in her earthbound home. Hylin unfurled it and read succinctly to herself:
Ms. Selange:
Your current mission, if you so choose to accept it, shall be to scout each of the kingdoms. We must know full details of the plight at hand if we are to provide aid or reinforcements. After gathering sufficient information about the situation at the individual capitals, return home. You shall be summoned once again to our presence as you cross the threshold.
The light seeks peace, tranquility, and friendship. Spread the word.
~The Order of Light~Hylin read the scroll thrice, making certain what her instructions were. She hurriedly hid the scroll and departed her house for a second time that morning. The sun hung high in the clear, royal blue sky above. She started her way and fully departed the outskirts of the light colony's borders by midday, wearing her hood and walking at a fine pace with her staff. Hylin continued with resolution. She had been on the surface for only a fortnight and knew little of the landscape, but she stayed determined all the same. The vivacious young woman entered the former battle zone.
The Lumorian spied a pair of silhouettes on the horizon. Not knowing whether they were friends or foes, she decided to go that way, her ivory staff in hand and brown cloak concealing her gaudy yet respectable dress. Hylin sped up and steadily approached the strangers.
(She has a satchel of practical items, worn like a backpack under her cloak. Oh, and she doesn't care about how hot it is. The people she sees are Kiro and Bekkala.)
